R30 Skylines For Sale.

Bump. -
They are R30s. Both Automatic. 1 White, and one blue. (faded) Both with running motors. White is 1984 R30 Auto. All suspension replaced and all new bushes all round. On New King springs and munroe shocks. Appart from that its stock. Replaced thermostat and has an R33 radiator in it. The radiator was not working properly.. Anyway. all good to go and just needs some love to be a great car. The Blue one has no controll arms or rear diff/arms. So no wheels. and is basically a full parts car. Exelent condition. Its a 1983 R30 Auto Special edition... (badge on the grille?) Get rid of as a whole. I am looking to get rid of the lot... Will post in the For sale section. Please text if interested 0417716293. Located in Rockhampton, Queensland. Thanks Lads. No picture of blue one.

Steering Rack Conversion Into R30

Anyone got any idea on where that forum went about tightening up the steering box? Click the link nowadays and it takes you to the forum menu! Looking at making some minor improvements to the steering, nothing like the above.. Just making it abit tighter! Everyone loves tight things! -

Another question.. What about an aftermarket Airflow Sensor doovie.. so i can change the intake around?? The way its set up with that big useless metal box that attaches to the airbox is a bit silly... the tiny little intake needs re-jigging i think.

Hi Again Lads , Sorry about the late reply from me. Been out of town for work. Thanks for all your help. On the weekend i changed the water pump over and the thermostat. AND, the car still overheats. I will do a complete clean and flush of the radiator this weekend.. and if it is the radiator, i have a spare R33 Alluminimum radiator that i plan to retro-fit into it. But any suggestions on why it would overheat?? And well... where would i find an engine from to do a conversion. Im from QLD, and dont really want to have to get a mod plate, so i should get it going, register it and then do the modifications.... I have done a few engine conversions before, but not for an engine that is not designed to be in that car. Eg, i have put in a 4G92 Mivec import into an a 4G91 CC Lancer, and put a new engine into a hilux surf. But nothing that will be this hard..... How far off will the engine mounts be if i used an SR20 or Rb25/20/30?.. What about an FJ20?. Am still getting that picture up too guys hah. Cheers, Michael.

Hi Users, After having owned a R33 GTS-T for a number of years, i had to get rid of it as i was purchasing a house.... Biggest mistake of my life. (selling the car, not buying a house) A number of years later, (last week even) i came across this beautiful looking white thing on the side of the road that i have never seen before.. A 1984 MR30 Nissan Skyline with a L24E motor. Picked it up for $450, and the sign said needs radiator replacement. The Radiator tank, overflow bottle and engine was filled with this yellowy looking liquid, so i changed it. Got a new water pump and a new thermostat. Just waiting to put it in when i have some time off.. Now my main question really is..... 1. Where can i buy parts from. Pannels and trimming, etc... All of the L24e components are easily available from Repco/supercheap. (chasing some RS taillights also) 2. What motor/s are a direct fit to the MR30 sedan. Being it is an automatic also..... Realistically i would like to fit an RB20 or SR20, or the likes to it. Maybe even an RB26DETT. (dreaming) and where is the best place to look) Have read alot of the forums in regards to the MR's, but alot of them are just troubleshooting promblems of which i dont have. SO if anyone can help me out it would be much appreciated. Will attach a picture when i get the chance. Thanks guys! Michael.

yeah will do.. My mechanic mate has put more plugs in and tested them... but will get him to do it again. So not fuel related.???? Even though it is running lean? Keep coming with the suggestions

Used standard NGK plugs Part no. PFR5G-11 Gapped at .8 And the coilpacks are brand new. and the resistance has been tested also... all showing up fine. The problem started when i took the old plugs out. And after replacing everything plug and coilwise its still not running properly. So far 3 sets of plugs.... and counting. the car also seems to be running rather lean.. But still sounds like its not getting enough fuel or spark or something. Hamdog. What do you mean about clipping them into place???? My mechanic mate is doin all the work for me as he owns an R32. So things are pretty much simular.

Hey Guys. Was working on my R33 GTS-T Series 2. Put in new plugs. and now the car has never run the same. I replace the plugs as the car was unstabe under heavy throttle loads. I put it back together and its running like a WRX. After this tho.... I bought new CoilPacks, and new plugs again... and gapped them. and changed the fuel filter. AND it is still running like a shitbucket wrx. tested crank angle sensor and engin compression ratio, and also fuel pressure. Any Help. Next step is to have a look at the injectors. Any suggestions before i take my car to bits????? Cheers, Michael

Yeah i shall replace the O2 Sensor and see how i go.... And as for the computer.. Which is the best that is recomended.. As it is almost tax time and i should be getting a good summ.. (touch wood) So i might have some money to spend. The car is running about 10psi with a stealth boost T, has a FMIC whis doesnt do anything, reason being.... and the stock thermo fan was replaced with a thermo bolted straight onto the radiator.... no shroud or nething. WHAT A WANG he was when he did it. newho.. All is to be resirected with a new ALOY radiator and dual thermofan setup. Has a Varex exhaust which doesnt work because it is filled with carbon... AND that is alll...

Umm the car has a nismo dump, and down pipe.. but from cat back its all pretty much stock standard.. I think the EGT sensor is effffed. As the 2 wires that it has were taped together and yeah.. just looks rooted if u know what i mean, And as for the O2 Sensor. Which wires am i putting the multimeter as is has 3. I shall check for this problem. Would the coolant temp sensor have anything to do with this? Cheers.

I have searched but nothhing i seem to do will stop my car from running ritch as shit. I thought this forum stuff was about helping inexperienced people become experienced. Not just to palm them off onto something else. And how can u guarentee that the EGT is just for a light on the dash. If its hot.. wouldnt the computer naturally tell the car to put more fuel in to cool it down??? Michael

Hey fellas. Had my car up on the hoist the other day and did my Engine, Gearbox and DIFF oils. Were all black and put good fresh stuff in em. However while the car was up on the hoist i noticed a sensor coming out of the cat. Which had tape over it. I believe this sensor is the EGT (exhaust gas temperature sensor). The tape was around the 2 coils of wires in it and i think its rooted.. The car is running heaps rich so i thought i should give replacing this sensor and the O2 sensor at the same time. Where abouts would i get an EGT sensor from. The O2 isnt a problem. Could this be the reason. Cos its faulty... and its dumping more fuel in to cool the exhaust down??? Cheers Blokes.

Im working there 3 days a week mate. But i drive my work car out there from Rockhampton.. Use too much fuel driving the riceline out there.

Yer i will ease up.. and i probs should get it serviced as i dont know how long ago it was done. Also, my mate who was driving behind me the other day, said that when i accelerated hard or harder than usual.. heaps of black shit was comming out of the exhaust. So maybe there is tooo much fuel goin into it. running way too rich??? dunno.. Its not oil, cos oil is blue smoke. I wanna do a highway test to Brisbane from rocky. ABout 7hrs, but i am scared i will run out of fuel. So yer about it running rich??? Cheers

Hey Fellas. My R33 GTST is getting about 230Ks to the Tank... However big it is. Roughly 50Ltrs. The car has FMIC and is only running 10psi as only mods, and 19" rims.( not that it would matter). I have read the forum of the R34 experiencing the same problems, but i am thinking different motor, different problems. Any help or tips to rectify my fuel guzzling problem ???? Cheers Fellas. yeah over that noise idea already. But the bov is leaking.. so.. yea i have to replace with something. I believe a GFB hybrid bov is the way to go. Plumback and atmo. to solve the problems with the AFM. Besides that... what about the idling problem i am having?

well since i am losing boost through it i thought it would be a good time for upgrade.. Since they are a performance aspect of a turbo car.. But u probably already knew that. But thanks for ur input.

Hey there fellas. Gettin a bit shitted off with my stock bov. Running 10psi the stock spring in it just doesnt cut the grass anymore. Just looking for a new 1. Dont know what i want. I have heard a couple that i like. this will be weird... but after it boosts the noise i want is dooo doo do. like a flutter type bov,. or 1 that makes that noise. There are heaps of bov's out there but no1 has any sound clips. Except GFB, but they are all for WRX anyway's. FYI aswell.. i dont like the SSQV either, its annoying and useless. So any tips or help would be great Guys. Installation tips, or if u have a 2nd hand 1.. or a recomended new 1 to buy. Also, my r33 idles at about 2g normal.. Any ideas on this prob guys..
