No word yet.. its a waiting game now. My lawyer says i may have a case, but more paperwork is required (a "brief" from the police) till she can really say. Anyways, i decided to take a holiday for a couple of weeks to wear out the impound. Thanks again for all the concern in the SAU world, i really appreciate it . More to follow when i return.

Ozzy, i didnt give them any attitude, i complied with all requests nicely. i wasnt a being a dick to get them offside, but their story is really wrong. Anyways..I have to wait and see. By the way, Im not going to court becasue I want to fight it, ive been summoned as the cops gave me a court notice on the night straight up - so no choice. I dont have an atitude problem at all, nor do i really wish to go to court.

Guys i can read the japanese. The headlines says "Supra has finally begun development and targets the nissan 350Z". The green bit says its should debut for the tokyo motor show". I guess this probably wont happen. Correct my japanese if im wrong someone.

Update on the situation, police report is seriously flawwed, they didnt get a single fact correct. More to follow...

A huge thank you to all who have posted on this thread, not matter it be shaking their head or supporting none the less. All of your input is valuable to me now. Tomorrow i will be speaking to a lawyer, which is dam costly, but thats the way it goes. I did not admit to anything at the time, as i have already been reading these forums and everyone says admit nothing if pulled over as it can be incrimiating. I'll keep you all posted on the outcome. Is there any lawyers out there in SAU members? would love some help from you!

Damm thats harsh! I will be getting a lawyer! 3 years! man somethings got to wrong there! Anyone else got similar stories to share. The anxiety of waiting for the outcome is killing me. not a moment goes by where i dont think about it. But 3 years? man....was he like 18 or something? what speed did they record him as? i hope it was a lot more than 30 over....(for my sake!)

The only thing is my car has a sub and stacker in the back. i hope it doesnt get stolen.

Guys firstly let me clear things up: 1. I was driving my Skyline at the time, not my BMW. This looked bad when the other guys was soarer had a body kit etc...but mine is stock looking except exhaust. 2. The fact of the matter is i dont know the guy. we just happened to be at the lights. no intention to "organise" a street race. 3. My offences were street racing and 30km over. 4. Lastly i did back off to let him through cause we we running out of lane on his side. 5. i have nothing against cops, they just doing there job, but impounding is a bit far no? book me for speeding but not racing! 6. I guess i will have to get a lawyer. any suggestions? thanks all again. Remember, its the BS that im against, not the cops. ill keep you all informed

Guys tonight my car got impounded by the cops. I was at a set of lights when a TT soarer pulled up on my left. He took off hard so i gave it a bit, but there was a undercover SS on our tail. We probably reached 90 or so till i backed off, but the soarer kept going. The coops pulled us both over and i was told that we were illegal street racing!! Bs or what? anyways i got my car impounded and now how to go to court. i know i was wrong for speeding but street racing and impounding? please help and enuff of the "you shouldnt have sped,etc..." i just need help. waht do i do from here?? thanks to all who reply

fhrx, yeah hiss changes with the revs. i just bought this car and it came with a sony xplod md head unit 50x4W running the back speakers direct from head unit (130W kenwoods 2 way) with an amp of some sort (avantgarde comp series? - its silver and 4 channel anyway) running the fronts and a xplod sub on a bridged channel. the hissing seems to come from the fronts. i used to have this problem in my old prelude, but i fixed it when i seperated the power cable to the RCA's. In the skyline thou, the power cord is right to the battery in the boot as you know so i cant seperate them any further.

guys i have stock wires running off an amp to 6's in my car but a hear a hissing sort of noise from them. I thought this might be a stock wire problems as they are very thin and dont shield very much? is this so?

i just put in the boots and they are excellent. had a bit of trouble with the metal ring thing in the shifter which holds the boot in place. is there an easy way to make it sit properly as the leather (very nice) is a bit thicker than the old vinyl boot? thanks again jay, they are must haves for all skyline owners (vinyl ones are crap!)
