  1. It's a fairly common practice relocating an AFM to cold-side piping when upgrading turbos, especially for those who prefer not to/can't use an ECU like a d-jetro or an EMS 8860 which do away with the AFM and run a MAP sensor. Haven't heard of many cases where the joiner has blown off the AFM, but I suppose it does make it susceptible given it clamps onto a flat surface. Edit: Also, to the OP, is this a high mount setup or on a low mount?
  2. Relocate your AFM to your cooler piping, then use the 4" intake! No need to use a reducer then
  3. Hmm, one of these 2 things could be happening; A) The light that actually says '4WD' is on and stays on. = Bad. Means your ATTESSA isn't working! B) The light that has your drivetrain layout, front wheels turning and there is an 'S' in the middle. Hard to explain and I have been trying to work out how to draw it using buttons on my keyboard, but it isn't working! = Normal. 50/50 Synchro is activated. Only use on slippery surfaces as said in previous posts!
  4. As quoted above, it's not about how filthy rich your tune may be but the gases that are created by the combustion of O2 and fuel. It is imperative that you have a catalytic converter that is able to convert the gases into other gases that aren't measured in the IM240 test. This is why decat pipes are illegal and carry a hefty fine for emissions.
  5. Dude, your drifteks look better on your 33 than the 32R's would
  6. Looks good samkoek! Darrin - Just looking at your Stag again, have you ever considered fitting a set of Bride/Recaro's? Would finish the look off nicely!!! Also, for those who have painted their standard roof strips, is that going to be suseptable to rust or anything?
  7. To an extent, yes. Some people, in the LS1 community, have reported small drops of a few KW's on their dyno figure when upgrading to a higher stall. But really, a dyno is a tuning tool and a difference of a few KW's may just be the price you pay for abit more driveability.
  8. Darrin, words cannot describe how hot your Stag looks!
  9. The big thing I found after my turbo upgrade was the need for a higher stall converter. The auto box really excentuates the increased lag over the stocker. I know track times don't really matter to some, but I was quite stunned when I went from a 1.8 60ft to a 2.3.
  10. Log the locations onto trapster!
  11. Hmm, must of read past this thread! Keen!
  12. Yeah, the useless shock absorber thing haha. Found out that it won't solve my problem of saving engine mounts because of how it's fitted on an RB motor.
  13. The front mount will be fine. Doesn't really have any effect on your emissions. RED513 is right on the money. Cat and o2 sensor checks and you'll be right to go. Unless you have drastically changed the amount of fuel (injectors) or air (turbo), then you have no need for an aftermarket ecu. (for emissions, of course. Always power benefits from a tune! )
  14. Quoted from another site. Seems alot of people over in the eastern states (You guys ) have had some success with the XR6T Ceramic 3" cat. $120 and away you go!
  15. An aftermarket ecu will do next to nothing about your emissions (Well, the specific gases that are measured in an emissions test) Euro4 Spec cat for under $500. You will pass. If you want, fit your old cat back up after and sell it.
  16. What mods do you have? To an extent, the type of cats you have are just as important as having a relatively decent tune.
  17. Coming along nicely, Charlie! What in the way of modifications did you need to do to make them fit?
  18. Hey guys, Does anyone know if an engine damper kit to suit an ECR33 GTST will fit a C34 S2? Or, if you know another model that can suit! Thanks. Tim
  19. Pretty much everyone with an iPhone uses trapster.
  20. Neil's replica is mint, and at 16k it's a steal! You can buy mine for 16k so I can buy Neils?
  21. You will definately need a higher rated torque converter at that power. Mine sucked ass with the stock converter... When mine was stock, my 60ft was 1.9. With the 30R+other mods and stock converter, it was 2.2. Haven't run it yet with the higher stall, but feels ALOT better with it!
  22. Take a piss around your car. You know... mark your territory...
