  1. Probably not the knock sensors unless you have a check engine light.
  2. knock sensors are on the block under the intake maniford. One listens for cyls 1 2 and 3 and the other listens for 4 5 and 6. Kind of a bi**h to get too.
  3. to check the smoke start your car when cold and when It is smoking go and smell the exhaust and if it smells like gas your having richness smoke. If so then you might have some bad sensor like afm or o2 for example thats making you run extra rich.
  4. You might have a vacum leak in your boost line or your boost control selanoid could be faulty. Check you boost lines for leaks first.
  5. The stock intercooler is massive, there should be no problem until crazy hp.
  6. your car is in close loop which runs it really rich and allsorts of other stuff to be safe on cold internals. Notice it will snap out of it when the temp guage is 2/3 the way to normal operating temp.
  7. they have talked about it but no action yet. I think its mostly from inflation over here and they would coast as much as porche which means only the rich f***s would have them. That would just piss me off cuz they can afford them but they can't drive them for s**t.
  8. no skylines at all. Just a few rb20/rb25det hybrids and Im so far the first godzilla 180 I have heard of in the US.
  9. I take that back. If you can afford a skyline you can afford a tranny rebuild. Im from the land of no skylines.
  10. the bearing isnt to cheep nor is the labor. Plus you have to think of what kind of condition your tranny is in cuz you might want to rebuild the sincros (expensive) while the tranny is apart in the shop.
  11. Its a rare thing and costs having a tranny shop pulling the bad one and pressing the new one in. You say the noise goes away when you put the clutch to the floor and that would mean the shaft is no longer spinning. Makes sense to me and my x girlfriend just had hers replaces and it had the same symptoms. Go to the tranny shop and just ask him to listen to the noise and see what he says.
  12. Its very possible that your input shaft bearing in your tranny is going bad. Just a little advise but lets not jump to the most expensive solutions first. Try checking other things first but keep this in mind.
  13. check your timing. If your detonation sensors are sensing detonation before 3500 rpm they will send you to SAFTEY BOOST which could be 4psi for your car. For that matter other sensors or an engine light will do the same. Good luck.
  14. G-tec is usualy pretty acurate. Give or take a tenth.
  15. My 180 rb26dett hybrid does that all the time and even stall sometimes but my question is which wire is the earth wire?
  16. Cheep and easy and kills 2 birds with one stone. Low temp thermostat will also do some magic with your oil/water oil cooler.
  17. You will be in close loop only until the engine warms up.
  18. were you running a bleeder? and did it have long lines or short ones? The longer the lines the more room for boost creep and inconsistency.
  19. Seems like they should make a o2 system that will compenstae no matter what injectors you use. I just got an idea.
  20. You would either need to remap your ecu for the bigger injectors or get the power fc if you can tune the injectors with that.
  21. Never trust a factory boost guage.
  22. If you guys are rhd it wouldnt be to hard to do a rb26dett. I wish I could say come to me but I live in the USA.
  23. I had the same problem with mine and It was a bad connection with the afm plugs. I sprayed plug cleaner in and drove it then the problem was fixed. Funny that there was no engine code flashing
