  1. The left lane of Guildford Rd is just shite! The Garrett (sp?) Rd bridge is ridiculously horrible. The main st/Scarborough Beach road intersection is bad too, particularly heading into Osborne Park from Mount Hawthorn. And the left hand, right turning lane when you exit the fwy heading south at Hutton street is murder. Oh and I try and avoid most shopping centres too. Grrr!
  2. I feel your pain, a tree fell on my R34. Luckily it only escaped with a few scratches, what happened to you is just terrible. My sympathies man.
  3. Pretty much all the GT-R's colour options are great (llok at the entire list its purely awesome). I'm a little biased because I have a black R34 myself but Bayside Blue is an awesome colour and when people picture an R34 GT-R they usually picture it in blue, a pretty cult colour. At the end of the day an R34 GT-R is going to be awesome anyway!
  4. Facelift (1998 or newer) + Type-S (This is the one with flared guards and AYC) + Manual + Sunroof + Recaros + Trigger Mauve = Win I have driven a few and know a few guys on OzVR4 who own them. Great standard cars and if you only want to lightly modify them they are great bang for your buck. Most likely my next ride actually! But don't take my word for it a picture is worth a thousand words...
  5. Gotta' love those Toyotas, still within my budget an Aristo, Chaser or 1JZ Soarer would be pretty sweet.
  6. Go the Colt. Very cool. Or if you're after an older car as 555NAP said Pulsar GTir, plenty of mods for the old SR20!
  7. Bit of an old thread but.... Haltech and ViPec then work on an auto R34 GT-T? I'm looking at getting a new ECU, tune whatever and wanna keep my auto box. I don't wanna f*ck around with a manual gearbox conversion (not to mention I'll be paying ~$2000 to put R33 parts into my R34), I may aswell sell up and buy something thats manual (from my POV). However if I build up the Auto box then I can run whatever the hell I want? Apexi, Motec, etc. Whats required in building up the auto and how much will that set me back? So I believe my options are... 1) Haltech, ViPec, Nistune or E-manage. 2) Build the box up and run whatever ECU I like. Is this correct? I've done so much searching on the subject my head is spinning!
  8. Where do you live? I can get genuine Rays ultr-light lock nuts if need be.
  9. I've tried going into manual mode but it says I have to put in my OEM boost level first which I couldn't be able to do, it wouldn't go low enough. Perhaps I can reset the unit?
  10. Thanks man. I've got the instructions, they are just not being very helpful. I called JPC today to see if he might have any ideas or want to give it a shot and try, they didn't want anything to do to it! Anybody living NOR and in the know wanna give me hand? I'm a nice guy! I tentatively booked it in with my mechanic on Wednesday to take a peak at it but like his Motech ECU's, he's expensive!
  11. It is meant to be. There is a manual learning mode where you are meant to dial in the stock boost however this function didn't seem to work properly either, it seems the stock boost level was a lower number then what the unit would allow me to dial in
  12. Sounds like a good idea!
  13. Seems odd. Rob (don't know his username on here) has a black R34 with a manual boost controller and his is working running a stock computer. And those running Nistune still have their stock ECU's yet I have heard many have boosted them up. From what I've read you can add a boost controller however the ECU will just not allow you to run to large of pressures in them. Not calling b/s but my research has told me otherwise. So very, VERY frustrating, argh! 5psi sucks!
  14. 1. As I said in the initial post its an HKS EVC3. 2. I have instructions however I cannot follow all the instructions. 3. All the buttons are working and it is able to read my boost levels but i am having trouble putting it into learn mode and setting my new desired boost levels.
  15. With the help of Allen (2LV8ETR), we chucked in my new (2nd hand) HKS EVC3 boost controller and it seems to be working fine. However I am having a few problems setting it up, does anyone have any experience with this unit? Anybody willing to help a brother out?
  16. Well thats ghey. Looks like I'm keepng them then!
  17. I've heard you say "lol" sooo many times!
  18. Lol, just read Ten Four's post! I'd love one with a cream/beige leather interior but it doesn't lend itself to racing seats which puts me off slightly.
  19. Tell me about it. I'm chasing a Series 2, Type S, Manual with a Recaro Interior, sunroof, no roofracks and in Trigger Mauve. I'll be a while!
  20. Definitely a Mitsubishi Legnum. In fact if the right one came along the Skyline would get the boot!
  21. Does anyone know if the R34 has pins? I want to take them off too.
  22. Definitely happy to wait! I still have some work on my engine to do before my bodykit so I was looking around Christams to January to make her look perdy/ When Aero Image finish, post it up!
  23. Not the conventional type. Stick it in 'D' and drive an auto!
  24. I'd drop a few grand on the right kit (and I am seriously considering this one). What SHOULD one pay?
  25. I don't have one either, nor one at the gf's or at work. My car is also black... ah well, worse things happen at sea!
