First off, you have inspired me to start on my own gtt as well... so a couple of questions:
- Did you sand off the top layer (that sticky stuff ) of the R34 center console, or did you put the vinyl directly on top (without preparation of the plastic)?
- Does this vinyl work the same way as tinting your windows?
- Could you write a very simple DIY in like 4 steps (apply, heat, wrub out airbubbles?)
Thnx!
You can order the rubber end directly in japan if you wish...japanparts.com
It is nissan productnumber 65820AA400 (nr 6 in the above pic), but you also might want to buy the retainer (62298AA400 for the rubber and retainer)...
Does the front bumper support bar (nr. 7 in the first pic) fit the R34 GT-T headlights?
Retainer-front bumper, upper, 62240AA400
Is the distance between the headlights the same for the GT-T and GT-R?
Should I be able to use this bar instead of the East-Bear Sports GTS-R spec 2 front bumper support bar?
Searched the topics ("R34 rubber") but they are all about tyres.
Question: Are all the front bumper rubber-ends the same on all R34 GT-R's (all years)?
According to Nissan Fast the partnumber is:
Rubber-end, 65820AA400
But looking at photo's they do not look all the same
Or is it just me?
Can someone confirm this is the right Nissan partnumber 65820AA400 (the same rubber as the black gt-r above has between the headlights?)?
Has anyone replaced/used bigger/better speaker cables instead of the standard factory ones in their R34 GTT?
I'm going to use a 4-channel amp from the boot and run the cables from there using the passenger side to the front speakers. (The power cable from the battery and the remote cable will be run through the drivers side.)
The factory wiring is usually not the best quality, so I'd like to replace them with better ones.
Can they be run through the factory connector in the door? Is there enough room in the connectors to run extra wires?
Or do I have to make an extra hole in the door to run the new cables trough?
I have been looking into this also and found two more systems:
- HKS CAMP2. http://www.hksusa.com/info/?id=3474
- Magden Automotive M.1b Performance Computer (As seen in the new Fast & Furious movie in the blue R34 GTR) http://magden-auto.com/products/1
But both are pretty expensive systems tho...
Yeah I know there are Z-tune bonnets for the GTT but I would like to keep the front grill in one piece.
That would mean i would have to cut a part of the bonnet
