Sei Cruise + Bbq Day! (all Imports Welcome)
Gazelle D replied to jezza boii's topic in Archived Events
yeh i know about your minor work buddy, you spilled your beans at deca does that mean the missus will drive her GTR then, hehe i might even come to this event in my Gazelle......maybe -
interesting read. i was thinking semi's for november but i'm opting out as even my road tyre's were different cold and hot. Might look into some more suspension work even tho i was very happy with the sliding and steering omg where was my wheel alignment last deca ???? (its soooo much better) but iv'e already spent to much money on my car to just have fun in. also the question was asked how happy we were with the new format and difficulty which is why i responded. i did watch cars ahead of time and did review the map/layout but minutes in advance. I was able to iron out alot of bugs on the weekend, a problem with only drivin the car on track days. And if roman wins the type X catagory, i think i win the modified Club Q catagory, lmao how many in the class were there ? lmao glad i got rid of NA, auto, hicas, abs, 15" tyres and now sunroof

thanks for posting up the results, comparisons are nice. just to throw some fuel on the fire, deca is fun, tyre's smoke, limiters bounce, and i'll see you all in november i'm spewing i touched the hat as i parked on the mini wang and i didn't realise scores were overall combined, not just the best run from each person yawn. must b time for sleep
-
The Morning Layout worked really well, yeh i think we need to add another 100% run in for mini and long wang if not the pan aswell. I found the morning skidpan layout alot of fun and easy to follow. The afternoon one i was honestly swaring and cursing, especially when i stopped, looked at the map and though wtf, and saw the person i was up against do the SAME thing. The last skid pan layout was better as it was easier to navigate by yourself, but i probly made a mistake personally i'd put some kind of CAP on cones, i.e each skid pan event should have 5-6 cones and how hard would it be to get numbered poles with like golf flags on top ? turn 1 - turn 6 ? just a thought p.s go milk bread cookies and cream !

yeh i know they usually take time, but the comments made me question it. ta

Locked My Key In The Car ( Car Still Running )
Gazelle D replied to RWD GTR DRIFTER's topic in Victoria
club locks are/can be more effective and cheeper, if a thief is keen enough the noise from the alarm won't be a deterant. if you have a aftermarket steering wheel tho. don't bother 6 allen key bolts and swapped wheel is quicker then by-passing a alarm. I put a imob and stuff in 1 of my cars and they still came back and stole it. (it was broken into a week before) -
i'm looking around the site but i don't see the results, where are the times in which people are referring too ? and from the deca round 3 thread re: the silvia @ centre rd with missing headlights. i need a left hand one.........lol the appprentice took my broken lens and socket's out and i think i'll keep it as a air intake for a bit tho Also i will be collecting any photo's or vidz of the VN and my silvia. please pm me if you have any. ta
-
Thanks Ryan, Mic, volunteers and SAU ! 1 day i'll stop playing with my car, until then tho i'll see you peeps next time. Good to hear ! we could of added more s13's to those pics ! where was my invite ? hey thanks again for guiding traffic when my ute passed out.....damm thing did it again too but i got home yeh and i'll never hear the end of it, he didn't want to come at first. mr "its stock" and "who wants to buy a VN?" he's bringin it back in November ! and i think i used al the sticker sets up ! take a look at the first nissan they went on oh no wait i cant find the photo it was a patrol 4wd

I have wipers and motor, but it wasn't wired up, the car was stripped and re-asembled with quite a few mods, in april to get ready for May deca, and it was far from fine tuned. Yes track car, i already have to many rego's, and i don't want to loose my license. lol T-Wing ? yes the weekend will be good I wish i had of known, i could of helped you out, as they are piss easy to fit. i have alot of spare parts. i'll bring even more this time. yeh mechanical failure and hunan error can make it a pricey weekend, i'm in favour of the trailer ! infact i just picked up a new one in albury on the weekend. that's keen ! Has oil seeped into and or around the leads/coils ? it interupts the spark to the plug in a huge way. also have you checked over the basic's, like spark plugs, fuel filter etc I'd like to know who beat me to those headlights on the white s13 ! iv'e had a broken headlight since i got home from last deca. and anybody on ebay who says JDM wants too much. i think they finally got rid of it, replaced it with a bluebird trx

ive just been put under alot of personal issue's (asif car dilema's wern't bad enough) kinda kills the exceitment. weather forecast aye for country or melb cbd ? cause you never know what's going to happin. I wired up my wipers today just in case. oh and Vince Ritchie grey r32 gtst won't be making deca. he said he will contact sombody regarding his withdrawel. can i have his spot and run twice ? he said he doesn't mind.

oh yeh 4 sure ! I'M IN and i might even wash my silvia if there will be a photo shoot. now i'm glad i took the time on thursday and fitted my wheels from my gazelle. i must say i havn't had the time to come online in a while, workin till midnight has it's downers, including bad sleeping pattern. oh well a few more this week and the deca prep work is over. hell i even got a wheel alignment on friday, now i can steer my car........
-
My SR wasn't right before i pulled it out of the donor 180sx, but i miss diagnosed the oil in the turbo the thursday before last deca i was on the dyno and i was told it was a tired motor by my old tuner friend and didn't really question the engine anymore then needed as i couldn't afford to do anything. the poor power figures and internal engine oiling was nfg. you can see smoke come from my exhaust after a long pedal session last deca in the vidz, it was detuned and the limiter was reduced to 6000 or maybe 6500 (it was a few months ago), so i could keep it alive. but after changing the sump gasket and organising to fit a catch can, i decided to check that she was all still good internally, when i found only 80psi on #1 piston, i pulled the motor out the next day to find, the ring landing had broken away, and #4 was next as it was also cracked. iv'e rebuilt it now, but when i was asembling her i broke a cam cap bolt with unknown reason, the chain tensioner also fell apart when i was cranking it over by hand. not to mention having to set the timing 2 times because it skipped a tooth (don't ask). Not everything on the engine from nissan is that strong, there's a reason why the bellhousing has 3 times the amount of bolts compared to a RB. Now i have even more compensators fitted to prevent engine failure and had to sell some stuff to help pay for it i haven't decided on another dyno run yet as i NEED to bed it in more, unregistered car dilema so no i didn't kill it. i put a new turbo on before it was fitted to my silvia i'm a mechanic, we all have our off days.

i'm heading up on friday, but i'm leaving at midday, unless something changes. most GPS units have speed, or get a passenger with a late model nokia phone, and getting lost you have no excuse, camm and i found our way to shep and we were practicly asleep. this is where i say there is a speed measureing device after you hit 110kmh on the hume leaving town (which was still working fine on saturday when i went thru) once you go up a series of nice hills there is a fixed camera up top, then random fixed cameras for a while, no point speeding to shep as the fun starts saturday i'll tell the apprentice "Daniel G" driving a 180sx about the thread as i'm sure he will want to cruise with you guys

the supercheap ones bend! my brother use's one on 4 cyl's often but its a pain in the @$#% and the boom length is crap, to pull or fit the engine on my old vl turbo i had to remove the bumper just to get the length, yeh and i bent it pulling out a v8 so they are compact but your better off hiring. what area are you in ? there is a guy in sommerville sell's top quality well built units, got mine for $340 and it has 6 wheels, with raisable legs, ive had it for a few years now and no prob's. gets used every month too
-
sorry to hear about your car. but the thread comments sound like it was returned. 3 grand !!! omg
-
hello vekra, i sugest you come on down and have a look at the club meeting ! iv'e been to one before and it was good to see and hear all the going's on with the club. You will meet other owners and car lovers who hopefully have the same passion for wheels as you do. membership is not required. but its always a good way to show your support for a club. see the rest of you folk down there. davo

i don't know about more i almost had to bring my S12 when i found engine damage, but ALOT of hard work has turned that frown around. and i cant beleive how fidley/delicate sr20's are, omg
-
quality ! and i know what you mean i still have to fix my seat belts, i haven't had seats in the car to attach them for a while
-
So have you fixed your cable from popping out ? or is that zip tie we fitted still doing the job its good to see you come back for another go, see you there. And juliette, wining by default ain't cool ! ATT Ryan, can you put, Vince Ritchie, David Talbot, Karlos Broulidakis and Daniel Garber in the same group, thanks. oh and i'm still bringing my s13 silvia as previously planned.
-
makes you wonder why some times. well i knew you bought gtr seats but i wasn't aware you were ripped off, sorry man. iv'e only paid for 1 thing and not received the item and the seller disapeared from ebay right away, but iv'e had my ebay account hacked, been told on many occasion's the item iv'e bought was already sold as the seller would jsut simply refuse to sell it for the amount of the auction, and the list go's on. sometimes you win, sometimes you loose. good luck with the civil action !

time is a issue, but come on, i have 25 days to get this happenning, unfortunetly ALOT of people told me today parts will take 1-2 weeks to come in and alot of parts from america which the price is right is just not going to hapin. ive sent both endz off for machining already so only time will tell. atleast it's only a engine rebuild before deca, the last 2 times iv'e done engine conversions lmao, to which my housemate ask's "am i going to do this every deca?" and no, not this time lmao i'm saying this now, i'm not bringing the gazelle as a solution, although i like driving it like it's stolen, i still haven't fixed the clutch from the first deca it went on.
-
i'm going to have to retract that last comment dan, as i have 2 broken pistons and i'd continue but i'll stop before somebody pulls out a tiny violin.
-
Dan i'll do you a deal, i'll drag my car to winton this weekend if you come to deca in august. your hooked on the track drifting now arn't ya? i don't think i'll be sleeping till sunday as i keep braking my trailer and ive got other issue's to sort out before my next outing which is why i'm not looking forward to it.

hey leigh, come along man you know you'l kick yourself if you don't.
