Came on here to get some quick info to help me with my next project. Ive got a high compression vl turbo which i converted myself and now i want to convert my series 3 auto r31 wagon aswell.
I know i have to mod the ecu fuel pump wires. What do you guys do with the airbox setup? Is the conversion pretty much as straight forward as converting a vl?
Is the series 3 auto gearbox any good? can it take the extra power? How bout the diff?
And how hard is it to get the thing registered with the turbo considering that they never came out turbo?
At first it will be a stock setup, vl turbo ecu, turbo injectors, stock t3, stock boost, probably no cooler. Im sure the gearbox will handle that. But will it handle the power when i upgrade to a NISTUNE ecu, get an intercooler and run 9/10psi??
