  10. hav u had different bearings put in it? i dont think r33 s2 turbos had ball bearings from factory??
  11. yeah best way to check oil is at operating temp, switch it off and let it sit for 10 mins and check it. changing ur oil wen its hot is also a good idea (just waer gloves!) as it really does drain alot better than wen the oil is cold and thick
  12. hey mate i use a 2 post hoist all day every day at work using the 4 lifting points (where the little cut-outs are) along the sill panels would prob be recommended just watch the clearance on ur side skirts escpecially if ur cars lowered hope this helps good luck
  13. NOTE: this is a pretty risky option. details about this ecu are pretty limited and it is tuned for japanese fuel and japanese conditions. there is no way to know wat ur afrs are doing without a decent run on a dyno and it would def be a good idea to make sure its not runnning too lean
  14. hey my r33 s2 (turbo back exhaust, cai and pod, boost controller on 10psi) suffered the same problem and at 4500-5500 sounded like a machine gun going off. i pulled out all the coils tested them first with a multimeter and then inspected them for cracks, they looked fine but to be safe i coated them in a high temp electrical sealant (15 bucks from bunnings) and thought all my problems would be solved. Car was no better at all and still had the horrible miss. i then pulled the plugs out and gapped them to .8mm and resest the ecu and gave it a good thrash while it was re-learning. Problem solved! my car revs harder and faster to redline without missing a single beat. Very very Happy just thought id share my experience with everyone, good luck to all with this problem.
  15. hey mate wondering if u will sell just the gtr drivers seat? if so how much?
  16. i got the trust power extreme II too. . .awesome exhaust. quiet idle but sounds really tough as the revs climb. also has no drone at all so great for cruising on long trips or wateva. i'd recommend it to anyone
  17. yeah mate thats right, best way to do it is turn ur heater on before u turn the motor off. in the case of my car (33) there is a drain plug on the bottom of the radiator and on the bottom of the block. drain these and flush thru with water until it runs clear. i also pulled a heater hose of and flushed thru the heater core and back out thru the motor. make sure u get an airline and blow as much water out as possible after flushing so u can get as much coolant in as possible. after that it was just a case of filling and then running it till its hot with a few stops to let air out the bleed screw. just make sure that the heater goes hot in the car and that both radiator hoses are hot so u know the coolant is flowing around and thermostat is open etc. keep bleeding until all the air is out and throw ur cap back on.
  18. got it all sorted after messing around at my work for a few hours. ended up starting that bolt first while holding the pipe to one side and then yeah doing it up with a spanner about 1/10th of a turn at a time. took ages but got it done. also managed to alter the turbo heat shiled and fitted that back on too. cheers for the advice, heaps happy with the performance too car feels alot quicker
