Obviously it's really the excessive consumption as you've noted that bring out the crazy undesired side effects....but I'd still rather just avoid it altogether hahaha. Yeah that's a fair call in your case bahahahaha Adam starts pinning....nek minnit he's hit puberty round 2 and humping Leesh's leg like there's no tomorrow
-
Which one? haha....nah I haven't bothered actually reading any studies on it. The results page of a simple Google search is more than enough to put me off the stuff. Will only ever consume soy if I NEED a kawfeh and lactose free milk isn't available. Good thing I don't really mind the taste, but it's a shame you're effectively supplementing (an admittedly small) amount of oestrogen hahaha. Well, phytoestrogens at least. Close enough. Why can't there be phytotestosterones?! lol
-
Spotted a black/dark R33 with an SAU sticker on the rear windshield this morning just before 8 on Fairbairn ave/Parkes way citybound
-
Adam won't appreciate that But seriously, without delving too deep the undoubtedly over exaggerated negative health effects of soy, I'd still rather avoid any increase in my (effective) oestrogen levels
-
Also f**k soy (tofu included) lol.

Whaaaaaaaaaaa That's bloody weird Sin...lol. There's too many white ones getting around now! Gotta do something to make mine unique lol...but goddamn, the aftermarket exterior aesthetic parts available are very limited or ridiculously expensive wouldn't mind a front+rear lip/splitter, maybe find somewhere I can slap some vinyl...haha

Honestly my 'issues' aren't bad enough or obviously caused by WPC enough to warrant an even further increase in costs haha. If I don't get noticeable differences using the WPI over WPC, I'll just go back to WPC and deal with it more or less. I'm averse to the idea of a 50% increase from WPC to WPI, let alone more for HWPI That, and when I've had hydrolised WPI once before, it had an odd nutty kinda taste to it lol. Nothing bad at all, and it was AGES ago so I know they've at least changed supplier since then, but yeah was odd lol
-
I will however say that a scoop of coffee WPI mixed with a scoop (half serving) of the cookies and cream Biobulker I've got go really well together haha. Same company I guess, so you'd like to think they'd go hand in hand lol
-
I still wouldn't necessarily say I prefer one over the other (when we aren't considering the crazy price difference), given I love both the creamy and lumpy aspects of WPC, but the subjective flavour of the WPI is a bit nicer. Ehh, apples and oranges haha
-
So I've gone and got myself WPI again instead of my usual WPC in the hopes that maybe it was partially contributing to my possible lactose intolerance....now, before you get excited over this next part, I personally still don't at all think it justifies the massive increase in cost......but it really does taste so much better lol. Different, and not at all to say the WPC tasted bad in any way, but the WPI just goes down easier. Not nearly as creamy texture though, which was kinda a plus for me haha....and the fact it mixes much easier is slightly disappointing too, since I quite liked the random lumps of whey lol

I feel like anything I drink during a workout sits in my stomach and goes nowhere for f**king ages, making me feel disgusting due to fluid moving around/feeling full lol. So, I just finished my first bottle of water since leaving home at 7:15am this morning. That's 1L of water (with BCAAs), and a 320ml coffee. I feel like I've been "forcing" myself to drink more throughout the day, consciously having a mouthful whenever I see my shaker....yet most would tell me I'm still not drinking nearly enough water. I'm not thirsty by any means, but what the f**k? Why do I consume f**k all fluids? I actually worry sometimes half my digestive issues and fatigue could be related to my apparently small water intake, but I bloody never feel compelled to drink more. I generally feel WORSE if I try to drink a more 'normal' amount. Like even now I feel kinda bloated and bleh from finishing the final couple of mouthfuls in that bottle.
-
I love the taste of bottled water given the lack of chlorine etc, or if it must be tap water chilled still tastes good.....buuuuuut straight tap water is far from desirable unless I'm parched as f**k, and I don't drink COLD fluids during my workouts. So I'm screwed lol.

I agree to a point, but only due to the price of BCAA supps. They're far from pointless though. Sure, you can get the same (and more) from a scoop of WPI...but personally I ain't drinking something that requires digestion (not to mention dairy based) during my workout. Immediately afterwards, yeah, but trying to lift heavy with something in my stomach doesn't work for me
-
^^^ yeah I was gonna say Birds, it ain't entirely psuedoscience I mean, sure you could've made the lift without the smack in the head, since your body was entirely capable...however that smack in the head might be what your mind needed to believe it could pull it off Back on BCAAs, yeah that's fair. I personally can't see the (appreciable) science behind 5-10g of amino acids (protein) making any real difference to your ability during a workout, but they will have benefits even beyond what could be placebo. And again, placebo effect has great value in itself, as long as you're not pissing money down the drain for it lol Anabolic State has glutamine and HICA in it for claimed benefits in recovery, DOMS, etc etc. Though at least on the back this claims come with a disclaimer that there's no scientific studies to PROVE them haha. Oh, and once more, the taste makes it worth it if only for the reason you mentioned - sipping on it through the day I do this too, coz I HATE drinking water and never feel the urge to do it until it's too late and I'm already dehydrating myself. Something tasty every now and then makes a big difference.

MY MATE'S CLIENTS lol Good mate of mine started a nutrition coaching company last year. Since then he's taken on a couple of hundred clients, 12,000 page likes on Facebook (I know I know, relevance lol), and has had a shitload of clients place in various comps - like last year's season B Mr Olympia natural (can't recall division) and just this last weekend his competing clients totalled 4x 3rd, 5x 2nd, 11x 1st place, and 2x overall title finishes for the local INBA I get all my nutritional information and knowledge from him. Easily one of, if not THE most knowledgeable person I know in the industry.

Mitch - I'm going to assume that whatever BCAA product you're using isn't simply *only* a BCAA supp, yeah? I can't see how else there could be any noticeable difference between products with regards to physical effects. I think I've said it before during my whey rants, but my BCAA supplement is the only thing I'll spend more than necessary on just for flavour etc. Given Bulk Nutrients BCAAs taste like chalk, I'm happy to fork out extra for Nutrabolics Anabolic State. Everyone I know and most of my mate's clients absolutely rave about it too haha...the flavours (well, most of them) are just spot on. I've had watermelon, fruit punch, peach mango, and grape. Of those, I wouldn't buy grape again, but it wasn't a bad taste by any measure. Would definitely recommend Anabolic State, even though it is a little bit pricey.

White R35 on Parkes Way this morning just before 8 at the base of Black Mountain
-
T3 hahaha naughty boy My cardio....well, it's a joint operation
-
While I'm definitely not coeliac at all myself, I can still say with some certainty that wheat based products definitely cause me some minor irritation and bloating regardless. Minor, but definitely there.
-
Wow Leesh, your numbers are really getting up there!! Especially considering the volume you're pushing for some things and not just going for pure strength
-
I'd say the whole 'low carb' thing is a case of 'don't knock it til you try it'. And by try it, I mean more than 1 or 2 days in a row. At least a week.
-
Not good fingers crossed there's obvious issues with easy enough fixes! I should try get my chiro to email me a copy of my Xrays from the other day....shit's pretty amusing once you overlay the lines showing you how my spine is supposed to be aligned lol. Neck is dead straight, lumbar/sacrum is pretty much straight, and thoracic is hilario messy
-
It's not the most optimal or efficient way to go about things if you actually want to feel full of energy, but it's certainly nothing like some people insist in that you're barely able to function and you feel like shit. Yeah, maybe for the first day or two if you've gone from 250g carbs a day to under 100g....but it's nothing like I keep reading some people suggest. Like you said Mitch, each to their own. Everyone's body is different. I know for sure that I'd feel like ratshit if I ate half the stuff Birds has sent me in snapchats occasionally, lol....but it works for him (arguably, right Leesh? ).

I take a probiotic when I remember to, lol. Though you've got a point regarding worming. Even though I doubt that's an issue at all lol, still might as well grab some worm tablets anyway since who fkn knows what I've picked up over the last year, especially given I went to Thailand and Cambodia in October/November... I've stuck with <100g carbs per day for a while ages back. I won't deny switching to a more 'normal' carb intake definitely brought positives, but I was still functioning perfectly fine on dick all carbs. Obviously you just adapt to whatever you're doing, so in this case you've adapted to low carb intake like I did.
