  1. Interesting....Might try it out just to see how it feels. Had squats this arvo...have been half asleep all day and lunch was attempting to come back up to haunt me before I left for the gym, so kinda went soft haha. Only 130kg to parallel, on final attempt tried to go to maximum depth - no pain, but almost spewed and all core muscles gave up on me. Had to drop it onto the n00b bars. However after a bit of a breather I deloaded to 100kg and pushed out some absolute maximum depth reps....legs appreciated it....hahaha
  2. Just noticed something in these pics now that I'm on my PC.....Anatoly is the only one not using a piece of wood under his heals. This is another huge issue I have which I always thought (and still do) was all due to a lack of flexibility mainly in my calves - when you go low, the body either tries to force the lower back to bend forward to maintain balance, or your heals lift off the ground. What's the go here?
  3. Given my reason for not going below parallel is nothing to do with my back...lol though I do slightly agree with this
  4. Snowboarding accident, face planted and pushed my face against my chest while my body rolled over top. Good fun lol
  5. Could someone please give nee the low down on what the f**k I need to do in order to play this game now? I bought the special edition or whatever, karkand thingy...didn't play for a while and now there's like no servers
  6. I crushed my T3 vertebra just over a year ago and did nothing at all about it except go straight back to the gym. Preaching to the converted here bro
  7. Looking at that pic of Arnie, his lower back (will, the whole thing really) is doing exactly what I though you weren't supposed to do
  8. Six loader wouldn't work for me, day z commander wouldn't install lol....I'm forced to do everything manually. Kasko sending you SMS
  9. Contrary to the above, keep sleeping. More exercise. healthy food can always be tasty.
  10. On the flipside consider the possible injuries caused by the direction of force being applied to the joints when beyond parallel. The force is now no longer compressing the joint, it is in a small way attempting to separate it.
  11. It's undoubtedly nothing since I don't get anything similar when doing any variation of leg press, but yeah better safe than sorry.
  12. Nah that's cool man, I had never had anyone with me to critique/correct my technique until I recorded that. Since then I have always done squats with my mate, and initially dropped the weight back to an easy 80kg then ensured that every squat was at least parallel from there on. I don't go below parallel as when I do with anything over 100kg my left knee goes all weird and has a worrying ache immediately afterwards. Going to parallel with any weight feels perfectly fine though, so I do go parallel with 140kg
  13. I mentioned I pushed out 140kg x5 freeweight squat a few posts ago ya big girl!
  14. Interesting, I thought it was a general law kinda thing that 2 strokes could no longer be road-registered..... Would definitely get a 300 rofl, spastic powerband is where it's at!
  15. The only reason why I'm not interested in a new 2-stroke is that they're not registrable (someone confirm this). I wouldn't ride an ancient POS hahaha. Had a '93 or thereabouts KDX250 few years back that I would ride around the back of Conder/Banks, that was about the limit of 'shitness' I would deal with. Wouldn't mind my cousin's KTM 525EXC I rode some years ago, that thing was f**king insane!
  16. Not sure what you mean...When I'm talking 'single leg press' I mean using the incline leg press machine, but only pushing with one foot. The other foot is either on the rests that don't move or on the floor. Hmm, interesting. Will give this a shot
  17. I'm wondering if having started with single leg presses recently has caused my two-leg press to increase...was stuck on 280kg ~6 reps for last couple of weeks, though started pushing out some single-leg shit. Started at 80kg which was difficult...now that I'm up to 120kg for single leg, I busted out 8 reps of 320kg with two legs on Thursday. Perhaps change it up a little by doing some single leg work, start off ~80 - 100kg and go from there. (all weights above are NOT inclusive of the ~50kg naked weight for the machine)
  18. I've been blasting out the single-leg incline press lately, hits so many more muscles than using both legs. Absolute killer. Currently only pushing 120kg for 8 reps (works out to be the same per leg as doing 290kg when you factor in the 'naked' weight of the machine). Also up to 140kg full-depth squats for 5 reps f**k upper body, legs feel so much better.
  19. LOL f**k that shit mate.
  20. Hahaha, can't really afford my own setup and definitely not getting a shitbox. Would spend at least $3500 on the bike alone by today's rates (something like an '05 WR250 or newer)
  21. Someone let me hire their bike and gear for a day and I'll come along
  22. Don't give Dan that much credit
  23. ooooooooooooooooo shit! lol
  24. Could someone PM the address please? I might come out for a chat if le female friend is interested in going too
