  2. True. More or less, if anything comes of it, it would be a "warning" or some kind. In which case, I forward on my complaint letter with the detail of events that I have noted down on my PC.

I don't think he was trying to bait me as such...either he reckons I've done something illegal (like when he didn't indicate) or that he's just making something up for lulz...the way he sat on my ass and at one stage clearly looking at my plate, and then when he pointed at me as though to say "gotcha".... Either way, I didn't do anything wrong.
  4. No I don't think he was baiting me, I think he was up my ass to be able to read my number plate. Must have terrible eyesight too considering how close he needed to get, should probably get that checked out when he resits the road ready course and takes another driving competency test.
  5. I've written down my recount of the events before I forget anything, and saved it in a text file for future use. Hopefully it's never needed.
  6. I have reason to believe that I have just been unfairly targeted by a police officer while driving home from Fyshwick. As I exited the roundabout at rose cottage, this guy swerved violently out of the left lane (without indicating) to race up behind me like any typical wanker would do in his Holden, then proceed to sit close enough on my ass that I can no longer see his headlights in my rear view mirror. I don't accelerate any further as there's already a car in front of me, and it would be speeding. This guy then leans over to the passenger's side of his car, apparently reaching for something as he both removed his hand from the steering wheel, and focused on looking for whatever he was instead of the road - in particular the car he was no more than 2m away from - me. He then appears to be taking note of my license plate. Hmm. A few roundabouts later when he's not on my ass so much, I decide to see if he's following me by turning left. He doesn't follow me, but instead passes me while again removing his hand from the wheel and attention from the road, leans over the passenger's side to either give me the finger or point at me threateningly. It was then that I noticed he was wearing a blue collar and had shoulder patches with an insignia. What the f**k? Umm...k so you break the law, drive VERY dangerously, then making a threatening gesture towards me because.....? Nope I got nothing. Spose I'll have to wait and see where this goes...

Had car retuned today after I had a few issues fixed up...I'll be providing Stao with the dyno sheet to post up first once I pick the car up, but all I can say is that I'm very happy with the figure. Considering I asked the tuner to be as conservative as he could and very safe up top, it still made stupid power. He was skeptical of the turbo since he'd never heard of them before, but was pleasantly surprised (or astounded moreso) with the power it made. Since it was running without any boost control, boost came up to ~17psi initially and bled down to ~15.9psi. Tuner took out as much timing up top as he could before it would begin having a negative affect, and it finished up with 11.5AFR. Not sure of the rpm yet, but at 15.9psi it made 294rwkw. Safe to say I'm stoked with this result.

  12. I took mine to Lanyon Service Centre.....which is a little far for you to go Dickson can go f**k themselves. I took a 100% stock R33 over there with legal aftermarket top bloke (chrome) wheels, and lowered springs (legal ride height, I checked with people in the car) and they still failed me on the height. I went home and checked it again, and it was still legal. I was very courteous and polite, and struck up a small conversation. Assholes. This car was stolen and written off 2 weeks later anyway, lol.

  14. To be blunt, you don't NEEEEEEEEEEEED to take it through Dickson. You're supposed to, but you can get away with not taking it there. I didn't take mine there. Boost controller isn't allowed, but if you don't take it to dickson, just stash it somewhere under the steering column and try putting the solenoid in the engine bay somewhere out of sight a little bit if you can. Turbo timer isn't legal, but just set it to 0 then hide it under steering column too. Spray the FMIC black, makes it less noticeable....not 100% necessary thought. Wheels...well if you don't take it to Dickson, and they aren't like 19" or something stupid, then you'll be fine given that they have legal tread on them. The inspection place I took mine didn't measure exhaust sound level, and didn't measure height. The car wasn't low though, and I don't think the exhaust was too loud back then either...he did however measure tint lol, which failed as I expected (5%) Otherwise my only question to you is, how are you running 14psi without it shitting itself? what ECU does it have??

I don't entirely understand compressor surge, especially now that the BOV apparently has something to do with it while on throttle...I thought it was where the compressor was trying to feed more air through the engine than it would take, causing reversion back to the compressor wheel...and given that I thought the BOV would be closed when pressure on both sides of the TB are equal, how would it have anything to do with surge if it were a GTR BOV or GTS-T?
  18. Oh right, so if I'm running 17psi through the hypergear turbo, it won't leak under boost and won't have any issues letting it all out when I let off throttle - sweet

This may now also apply to me, as I'm going to be replacing my stock s1 GTS-T BOV with a R33 GT-R BOV very soon (just paid fellow member for it last night) and I'm running ~285rwkw @15psi. Reason I've bought it is because it's a little bit of insurance, why not have a more reliable BOV now that I'm flowing a lot more air, and I have a feeling mine is playing up as I am not making the same peak boost as I was when car was tuned (haven't even gone through a tank since) I will be pushing ~17psi though my intake, so GT-R BOV would be preferable for me even though I'm running it ATMO lol
