Mine did this. Would always come on just outside of Sydney on the way back to Canberra, but never any other time....inclusive of the way TO Sydney :S I personally just pissed it off with a lock bar when I got my suspension etc done, but that's obviously not fixing the problem (unless of course you agree that HICAS itself is the problem in the first place)

What are the fines for not having it, and how likely are you to get hit for it? Mine is giving me the absolute shits. No matter how tight I wind down the butterfly nut, it still works it's way loose VERY quickly, and the constant noise of it rattling around in the boot while the wheel bounces is driving me insane. I'm very close to just ripping it out and ditching it. To be honest, I very much doubt I'd use it if I copped a puncture. I'd stick with my car until assistance arrived anyway, as I really fking hate driving with that horrible POS anyway. Dangerous. Thoughts?

remove turbo for less restriction.

You're still forming your own opinion on what he's GOING to do, rather than what he has said he will do. He wants to put it on now, and then grab the other supporting mods. He asked (and might I add, YOU QUOTED) how much boost he could safely run with this turbo until he has the rest of the mods. Stop telling him what you think he SHOULD do, and answer his question on what he CAN do.

Just turned 22 the other week. I'm not gonna lie and say I've not done skids on the street. I am however not stupid enough to get seen doing it. Especially by police. I purchased my Skyline because I got to drive my mate's around for a few days, and absolutely loved it. There was no way I could afford a GTR though. Fairly sure something with my cat has gone to shit, as there is often a strong fuel smell when getting back into the car after it's been sitting for about 30 - 60 mins after running. That, and it used to make a rattle/vibration noise which shut up after a while, so it probably came out the exhaust rofl But yes, you will be able to smell it.

Firstly, I (and I'm sure everyone else) assumed you had your car impounded because of something YOU did, which is why you shouldn't be allowed on the streets. Even now that you've cleared that up, you sound like an inexperienced moronic P plater. Have fun. I still hope you don't get your car back.
