Being relatively new to Skylines myself, I don't actually know the differences between series 1 and 2...lol If you could forward any information on the car to [email protected] I would much appreciate it, and if anyone could give me a really rough breakdown on major differences between the series Thank

BAH! You only need 4 strings to sound good, you're kidding yourselves!

Anyone know of anyone else selling, or looking to sell a decent 33 GTS-T or 34 GT-T in Canberra? Hell, if the price is right maybe even a 33 GT-R, but that's a stretch these days. So far I've come across http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/19...al-t256496.html What's the general price for a 34 GT-T with no mods? (disregarding location) The only other 2 cars that caught my eye so far have been a '97 GTS-T in Sydney, pretty much the same as what I had before, and JD's GTS-T, which I would be all over like cake if it weren't an auto...although it is BLOODY nice considering. Thanks to anyone who might be able to help out

The car has now been sold. Thanks/sorry to those of you who expressed interest in parts of the car, but I'm sure you understand that I'd rather have sold it all in one go, rather than wreck it myself. The buyer was only looking for the engine in particular, so what he does is with the rest of it is up to him. If you'd like to know who bought it if you're still after a particular part, PM me and I'll tell you. That way you can at least get onto them to see if the part is available. Thanks (PS Shell, might as well lock this thread for the hell of it )

Wow, that actually doesn't look half bad! Very straight imo

Anyone Have A Spare Clutch Master Cylinder?
Trozzle replied to Michele's topic in Australian Capital Territory
Sounds a lot like what happened to my VL, was blabbing about it to Mark the other night I think, though was just on the subject of having to drive without a clutch. If you haven't already, and could be bothered, take the entire master cylinder off and dismantle it. I can't quite remember what spring it was, but there was a large spring inside that had actually broken into 3 pieces. Unfortunately I didn't get much of a chance to learn how it all worked, but without the resistance of the spring until the pedal was almost fully pushed to the floor, there was no pumping of the fluid. Also once it did actually pump the tiny bit at the end, it would appear to just flow back through to the reservoir. If this is exactly what's happened with yours, PM, reply or call me (0431391359) and I'll find out where we picked up the replacement spring from. There's a good chance your situation has nothing to do with what I just said above, but hey, it's always possible and worth a shot, especially if you're just going to replace the unit anyway -

What seems to be the problem with the cylinder Michele? -
That'd be a good idea, because once you see mine, if you have the motivation and access to a decent garage, you'll probably be keen as to make a single good car out of the wrecks (assuming you can get the needed parts out of yours) call me if you want before you head to pickles and i'll come out and go over the car with ya, coz if you're interested in it we can at least talk a few things over. if not, hell there's probably a few things I still need to get off it before some scrubs steals em

Pics PRE-crash, or as it is now?

74,000kms, only mods were turbo timer, lowered springs, and 18" wheels. Never been run above standard boost, everything else in the car is stock, except the battery (which has only been used to start the car about 10 times, about 2 months old. Came with 3 year warranty etc, can provide receipt )

Love The Beast - Eric Bana - Friday 20th March, Dendy
Trozzle replied to Michele's topic in Australian Capital Territory
Count me in for dinner as well then, not sure if Michael finishes work in Dickson at 7:30 this evening or not though... -
Got called up by NRMA this morning telling me what they've settled on for my insurance. I get a sum of cash and the wreck of my car. I would love to get it fixed up in my own time with my own parts, but unfortunately that isn't really an option This being the case, I'm looking to sell the effective "shell" of an R33 to someone for a decent price. The car itself was slid up a gutter, not at a direct right-angle to the curb, with most of the impact seeming to be on the rear wheel. Other than suspension damage, wheel damage, possible diff damage, and a probably buggered clutch, the car should be in good condition. I'd rather try to sell the car whole, than have to take parts off it and sell them separately, but will sell parts if someone needs something specific. NRMA valued the wreck at $4k, but who knows what they're on. Car is currently located out at Pickles in Fyshwick, down side of the block (last I saw it) on the left when facing the building from the road. Happy to come out and meet up to look over the car if you're interested. FYI there's no panel damage on the car, other than gravel rash on the bumper, a scratch on the right corner of the front bumper, and a scratch on the right rear bumper corner. No dints, cracks, or missing pieces. Very few blemishes on the paintwork either. Call/SMS me on 0431391359, or just PM me. -Troy

Myself and gtrgsxr (michael) are keen for the movie. Unfortunately due to getting in on this late, I won't be able to make the dinner event beforehand as you've booked for 15 and that number might be a bitch to add onto. Not to mention I (we) know none of you guys, might feel awkward. you know, we're still little kids and all -
Mine had only a basic killswitch, more or less just a switch on the underside of the steering column that stopped the starter motor doing anything when you hit the ignition. I hadn't owned the thing long enough to have anything else fitted. The thing that pisses me off the most, is that there SHOULD have been a turbo-timer where the switch was, but I had to remove that for inspection purposes a few days prior. Now if they weren't illegal, the scum would never have been able to start my car because of how impossible to find the switch was when the timer was on the car. Even I couldn't find the thing myself after the guy had installed it for me, and I knew what i was looking for!

SKY-32R hoyts woden last night *i think* might have been during the day earlier today, no idea. Also some homo with a jet black 33 GTR, devil horns on the hood....oh wait.
-
I hear my 33 could do with stock rims, then perhaps something to hold it up (collapsed shocks). Tow it somewhere and wait. Takers?
-
Of course I'd rather the money, but considering their methods of determining what to do about my car, and how they've treated it during this, I dare say the costs in repairing it might not be my problem soon. Either way, I'm out of pocket $4k for a car I owned 2 months if they just give me the money.

Finally saw MY car for the first time in 2 weeks. Out at Pickles, the cops AND NRMA failed to tell me it had been taken from police holding. Pathetic pricks probably aren't going to even assess it to get a quote for repairs because it's "too old". From the outside, the damage HARDLY looks bad. 4 ruined rims, f**ked suspension on one side (though they replace all as far as I know), and whatever else took a flogging in the way of steering / drivetrain. Though from looking under the car as best I could, not even the exhaust (sitting at 100mm clearance) has made contact with the ground on it's way up the gutter. Should I at least try to demand they assess the car before calling it a write-off? I mean, other than the rims, not much else looked very damaged at all. The car was just sagged at the back obviously due to suspension damage. OH! and the icing on the cake is...THE BASTARDS LEFT IT OUTSIDE @ PICKLES WITH THE WINDOW DOWN. IN THE STORM WE HAD THE OTHER DAY. Amazing...

Seeing that shit makes me almost happy the f**kers that took mine crashed it not far away. At first I was sad seeing those pics, then when I saw the clutch plate sitting where a passenger seat should be, I felt sick.

Spotted like a lightning blue R33 waiting at the lights on Long Gully Road turning onto the highway. At least I think it was a 33, who knows when you're driving my current set of wheels. It's more like driving a bloody cloud!

Recommended Repairers For Body/suspension Damage
Trozzle replied to Trozzle's topic in Australian Capital Territory
Cool, thanks Anywhere else? -
So yeah, still waiting to get my car back from the cops, so still got no idea on the damage done as yet, but I figured I'd at least work out where to take it to get fixed for when I do. Any suggestions on where to get it taken for repairs, considering from what I know it's been run up a gutter, so there's gonna be a few bits and pieces in need of replacement. lol. More than likely gonna need a clutch replacement too, but that's easy done. Thinking about somewhere that can also have a quick look over the engine, particularly parts that take a flogging when someone takes your car to town, on the rev limiter the whole way... Sorry if this post sounds a little...stupid lol, Sunday morning recovery...

Nah, mine was taken from Tuggeranong Hyperdome staff carpark.

Just got referred to this website, the silver R33 that hit the gutter in Kambah was mine. Taken ~5:45 Monday afternoon. PM me if you want any details that may actually assist in regards to the white skyline this thread is about. Good to see that people have each other's backs around Canberra, even people they don't know
