Not with regards to mental health, but I've read a few things regarding megadosing C and B vitamins having positive influence on many conditions. Definitely something to investigate and consider.
-
Either that or she's proper fried already with no hope of return. Even the personification of Stoner Sloth I met whilst in Coffs wasn't that braindead lol
-
Cheers Christian (though I hope I've not landed myself in that scope haha).

And I know the pains of not going back within their 28 days (or whatever the fk it's been reduced to now, allegedly) and having them discover things they glazed over the first time - blindingly obvious and ridiculously irrelevant things - resulting in another failure even though I fixed the issues from the first one. Kents.

Honestly not sure what you're saying (with regards to what I said)....but yes I can only imagine you'd have exposure to the results of drug use whilst pregnant through your work
-
Bear in mind things like lead poisoning and potential genetic damage that may have caused (on top of the already evident aggressive behavioural disorders). Things our parents were exposed to besides their choice use of recreational drugs, like Glyphosate (Monsanto's Roundup), BPA and any other xenoestrogens/similar hormonal 'analogues' be they synthetic or plant derived (not likely the latter). I must stress on your own point of certain illicit drugs. I disagree with the way you place any and all recreational/illicit drugs into the same harmful group as though LSD is somehow in any way as bad as a-PVP (Flakka). I feel that those views are primarily based on anecdotal experience, which I understand carries a lot of weight behind it for many individuals myself included, which is why I offer anecdotal experience to the contrary in that my parents both used recreational drugs prior to my conception - primarily cannabis (not whilst pregnant, of course), with the occasional psychedelic. I'm fine. My partner's parents were actually very very much the same. She's fine. So I know that's not of any value so far as conclusive evidence goes, but I'm sure you understand it influences my beliefs on that subject. Anyway, ultimately I'm glad to have learned your actual approach to these issues. Whilst I still may not agree with your deductions and underlying causes, it's good to see you don't just throw psychotropics at patients until they have no emotions anyway. IMO, the rampant prescription of SSRI/SNRI's is abhorrent.

Ok terry, I apologise for jumping the gun on that one. I don't quite agree on your theories though I won't dent their potential, I just don't quite agree with the insistent direct correlation between depression and neurotransmitter imbalances. I know from unfortunate experience that temporary depletion can cause a drop in mood, however I don't think this is necessarily the underlying issue for everyone. For what it's worth though, have a look into supplementation of 5-HTP in conjunction with EGCG - a compound in green tea that apparently inhibits an enzyme responsible for metabolism of 5-HTP, allowing it more chance to successfully cross the BBB for possible conversion to serotonin.
-
I find it tragic you won't help someone 'half baked' without adding more drugs - barely proven effective and if anything harmful in the case of SSRIs - to the mix.

Merely asked a question. He's a professional, he can handle an uneducated 27 year old asking some questions. If he doesn't want it, he's welcome to ignore it as was done in the illicit drugs thread.
-
Literally the only thing I took away from that was that you refuse to help someone who doesn't submit to a chemical regimen first. Please tell me there was more of a point Terry. I may be a difficult prick here, but I'm not really sure what your message is.

Not that I believe they have half a clue what they're talking about themselves, but it was on the word of Dickson themselves advising me that if it was a private grey import of any kind (ie every 33/34 and most 32 Skylines) it had to go over Dickson before ACT registration could be established. It wouldn't surprise me if this was incorrect information, but it kinda makes sense that the overbearing assholes would want to make sure they check over every single potentially modified vehicle before it's allowed registration. They're dream boats. I mean the inspection guide PDF on the ACT rego website doesn't even make it clear who's allowed to inspect it, only that it needs a green compliance plate.
-
Interstate rego needn't go to Dickson..... ....unless it's a grey import (JDM), in which case it's supposed to go to Dickson for any rego inspections. Period. If you find someone who doesn't realise they're not supposed to do the inspection as it's an import, you can try your luck taking the certificate into the shopfront and seeing if they pick up on it (really unlikely). I bought my 33 with QLD rego, took it to a garage (who no longer have their ticket lol), got it passed, and that was good enough for the shopfront. Your mileage may vary though haha

That's a close one; good thing I don't appreciate the content of that thread

Yellow 34 GTT Haydon drive yesterday arvo, and white 34 Yass road out of QBN just earlier. Didn't get chance to try wave either time

The way he goes on, I'm night certain you're right.
-
I wonder to what degree, with medical assistance, that would be possible.

Days without sleep will do that

Yeah haha, I mean it's not the argument I'm actively pursuing here, but thanks for providing evidence supporting something most of us have agreed with this whole time.

Oh sorry also I'm in IT - desktop support for a small building of about 130 staff. I'm the building IT bitch.

I wasn't sure if your previous question was rhetorical or bait haha... No, I don't believe it should be illegal. The way we treat it culturally as noted needs to change though, as currently alcohol has PLENTY of justification for prohibition above cannabis etc, though that doesn't mean it should be illegal. Everyone should be free to do as they wish to their own body within reason, so long as it doesn't impact society in any way inclusive of public healthcare. Our cultural (ab)use of alcohol needs to be toned down, and we need plenty more education on all substance use. But if it's an argument where cannabis cannot be legal, by any merit of the argument alcohol and tobacco should also be illegal.

I'd like to add that over the new year period, I met the almost literal embodiment of Stoner Sloth. My partner's sister's girlfriend (yes, girlfriend....though looks exactly like a late-teen boy...). I have never encountered such a being; I was sure they were only in myths and tales, or unfortunate cases as Manuel has experienced....but lo and behold, this chick was fried from the most excessive use I've ever personally known. There were a few years of abusing a great many other substances under her belt, but her cannabis use was obscene. In 3-4 days she'd gone through what I would in almost 2 months if I were smoking excessively. Somewhere in that head was a nice enough girl when you could catch her....otherwise a whole heap of spaghetti.
-
And then let's realise this entire industry exists because of muppets like you ensuring they remain illicit. Happened with alcohol during prohibition, but doesn't happen now it's legal again. I wonder why that is.

^^^ precisely. I too hold a full time job, almost certainly higher paying than his (though I don't think that's fair, given his job). I have no debt besides a leased vehicle, and plenty of savings. I still go around mugging people, breaking into houses and stealing shit, and generally being a terrible blight on society though. You should see me when I'm stoned... Turn into a raging psycho and proceed to beat all women and children in sight.
