Accident X2? - Tuggers Expressway This Morn
Trozzle replied to Sinista32's topic in Australian Capital Territory
Good point lol....I had a stroke when I was 17 and as a result have permanent brain damage leaving me with an irreparable blind spot in my vision....and I still manage to do better than 99% of the zombies on our roads lol. That's saying something! -
Not corrected, since I know what you said was correct - I meant that what you took wasn't what I was implying (well, not exactly). Sorry for being a bit of a dick too, was grumpy as all fark that day.
-
Welcome, from a fellow baby-faced once a week shaver (stubble trimmer, to be specific )....however I'm 25 next month LOL
-
sodium chloride isn't the only salt your body needs though, is it? And nothing wrong with sweeteners as far as I've experienced - the only thing that tasted foul and left a horrible taste was Lipton "light" ice tea (bought it by accident years ago). I'm fairly certain Bulk Nutrients' electrolyte powder will be sugar free, but I don't see the point paying the flat rate postage for a single cheap purchase haha
-
Yeah sorry lol forgot about that...of all people I should know what that bullshit means haha....if you can find one in ACT that's already modded (and registered) then have a look at that, otherwise good luck to ya

There's actually 4 or so getting around Canberra - mostly southside. You can pick mine from a few things: * barn-doors for the back * no rear-side windows * white on black plastic plates * pedobear sticker on bottom right corner of rear window * ugly as all hell motherf**ker behind the wheel

If you're going to buy another Skyline, do NOT buy a stock standard one. Buy one with plenty of tasteful and correctly fitted modifications already done. Will save you an absolute f**kload of cash and headache in the long run. If you insist on going stock, get a clean R33 GT-R.

FUUUUUUUUCK mate that's retarded!!! Why the hell would they make your stand auto-retract on a spring....that's f**king stupid. But yeah I'm just glad it happened in the way it did. Very minor scratching on one of the 'corners' of the fairing which could be easily covered up with touch-up anyway haha

I'm with you on this Richard - as much as I don't want people to get hurt, for the way other drivers react it had better be worth it lol. I've seen a guy pulled over on the side of the road on the Monaro one time just south of Fyshwick. He was doing the right thing by getting ENTIRELY off the road so he could answer a phone call. There was nothing wrong with his car, he wouldn't have even caused a disturbance while he pulled over....yet somehow we have 2 lanes of near-standstill traffic for well over 500m behind him, which miraculously vanish and return to the speed limit the moment you passed the dude... WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY???? f**king incompetent rubber-necking dickheads, that's why! -
I get cramping particularly on leg day due to my lacking water intake through the day....I'll drink between 1 and 1.5 litres of water from the point I get out of bed (6:30am) until I get to work, and then nothing until I get to the gym at roughly 5pm. Other than the recent cramping, I function perfectly on this amount of water so I never really considered it to be the cause...however since I've ramped up my food intake something fierce, I've been cramping. Forced myself to drink a further 1.5L between lunch and gym on one occasion, which seemingly cured my cramp ailments entirely, as well as giving me a small increase in strength. Unfortunately I'll always struggle to drink "enough" water through the day, which is why I've started consuming a mass gainer shake again in place of a portion of my normal food intake. Caloric intake is pretty well the same as before, as are my macros (well, close enough) however my water intake has increased without me even having to TRY since 600ml of water in a shake tastes significantly better than 600ml of water by itself. I also like FIGJAM's reasoning (well, I think it was him) regarding BCAA supp making water tasty. I might see how cheaply I can find a sugar free electrolyte powder for the same kinda thing, since I think my diet likely lacks the right salts as well.

Oh also Anthony I'm sure you'll be secretly happy to hear I "dropped" my bike for the first (and hopefully only) time on Sunday, lol. Was completely stationary in that carpark in Tuggers over from the school/library where they're doing construction of some kind. As I put a little bit more weight onto my left foot to roll the bike forward a touch (was too close to gutter to put the stand down lol), I stepped on a small pile of leaves and sticks...which unfortunately gave way it was a controlled "drop" whereby I knew I wasn't going to be able to stop it so I just lowered it as slowly as I could....unfortunately it came to rest on the fairing against the curb, so there are very minor scratches on it now...otherwise a tiny bit of a scratch on the end of the clutch lever and that's it. Earlier that morning I was tossing up removing all the fairings and respraying them myself over the winter break anyway! haha so now I have even more of an excuse to do so.

I paid $50 for my belt, though HONESTLY until you intend on loading it with a considerable amount of weight, I'd recommend just going to Bunnings (or whatever massive home and hardware store you have in Albury/Wodonga) and getting a length of rope. Try to buy dynamic rope (rope that has a tiny bit of stretch to it, similar to rock climbing rope). I had 20kg hanging from this and it was perfectly comfortable, however I wouldn't want to hang 50kg from it as it would start to dig into your waist around your hips and above glutes, which is where a much larger padded belt would be appropriate.

Umm, perhaps. I honestly can't quite remember what I did most of Saturday, so it could have been me....though I don't think I would've gone anywhere near the parkway.

OH GOD SOMEONE GET ME A TOWEL! lol

I wouldn't know how the speed feels since I only gave it one tiny (and I mean TINY) bit of throttle in 6th gear just after the speed camera near Fyshwick (southbound) and next thing I knew I saw 162 on the instrument cluster. Didn't actually mean to do anything more than say 130 as I overtook someone, it's just it got there way too fking easily!!! I wasn't so much concerned with my surroundings when I gave it the squirt in 2nd gear - I was more worried the bike was going to take off without me on it any more! bahahaha obviously you're right though, you would get used to it quickly enough. My mate's had the bike up to 162 in 1st gear, I think it's supposed to hit the limiter at 175 or something from memory. Also for the record I'm 5'8" and ~83kg heh

Just thought I'd potentially annoy Anthony a little bit by letting him know I took my mate's '12 Kawasaki ZX10R for a short ride from the Costco carpark to Caltex in Hume yesterday. I'd normally say something like "all I have to say is X", but truth be told that experience temporarily left me speechless....hahaha Nah seriously, all I DO have to say is dear sweet f**king jesus. That machine is an absolute weapon. The power is has is unbelievably obscene. I gave it a tiny squirt ONCE in 2nd gear off the lights where Tharwa Dr crosses the highway and it absolutely blew my pants off - AND I DIDN'T EVEN TAKE IT ABOVE 6000rpm!!!! I don't necessarily see the point in owning such an overpowered bike, but my god is that something to be experienced. I highly recommend taking one (or a similar bike) for a test ride the moment you get the chance (and/or are legally allowed to).
-
^^^^^ my results for that test are HILARIOUSLY bad.
-
While yes, what you've said above is exactly correct; if that's what you interpreted my post to be saying then this discussion is over as I have no time for that kind of blind stupidity.

Even my bike loves the cooler air...unfortunately as the rider at the time, I do not. -
The stories I've heard suggest far too often that the 'qualified' VITU inspectors DON'T know what they're doing half the time either...
-
Perhaps show those exact images to the company you bought it off, as an "FYI - in case this causes problems with rust" sorta thing. So it's on record that it wasn't you who caused the damage.

Pics of marks should help
