  1. Will definitely get it looked at, just gotta chase up the name of a proper sports physio/masseur I was told to see a while back lol. Since I'm ultimately training for appearance, I'm still getting awesome results even without deadlifts. Obviously not ideal or as efficient as it could be, but I'm still putting on good size on my back will have to sort some progress pics soon once I deal with this little bit of belly fat I've picked up that's hiding what little definition I had previously LOL
  2. This should be a very good event!
  3. I'd say this is quite likely lol
  4. That feel when you forget lunch, only to realise that Grill'd provide comprehensive nutrition information on their website and it EASILY fits your macros for the day. I've got that feel right now. Along with the satisfaction of Caesar's palace chicken burger and regular chips. Aww yeah.
  5. For that area I've had good results even with a tennis ball, just moving around until I find the spot then lying there with as much pressure on it as I can bare the pain haha. Works well. Would be intense with a PROPER ball for rolling that doesn't just squish lol
  6. I've not had any issues at all with rolling lower back. Feels completely normal to me haha. Just get both - foam roller and a nice hard ball like a hockey ball.
  7. Suppose it doesn't help that the worst medical experience of my life (and likely the worst I'll ever have short of death) involved vomiting all over myself while getting an MRI....doesn't really give them a good wrap in my book
  8. Oh I'm not saying it isn't worth it; merely saying that perhaps jumping straight to an MRI isn't necessarily the way to do it. I'd go with the ultrasound first up as it's probably close enough to free for there to be no real reason NOT to bother, and then depending on the results of the ultrasound you could push for the MRI.
  9. MRI will also set him back a shitload of money. Prior to healthcare reimbursements (which won't be much anyway), the MRI my mate got on his knee not too long ago here in ACT cost somewhere just over $500.
  10. Fark that sucks dude! Not good to hear
  11. I think the pain itself might be, but the cause of the pain is certainly something that shouldn't be there. haha I use a foam roller too, so won't be THAT ironic
  12. I've been neglecting the hamstring stretches a lot lately, which in all honesty made a HUUUUUUUUGE difference to this pain...I have my reasons for not stretching, though they're so far from acceptable excuses I'm surprised I even let that shit slide rofl
  13. I crushed my T5 vertebra in a snowboarding accident back in 2011...kinda did nothing about it. Was back in the gym about 4 days later. 20 weeks to get an X-ray done. By this stage it was way too late haha... Deadlifts have stopped the cramping, though it seems any kind of abusive routine for those muscles fixes it up just fine lol. These days I'm still experiencing a crippling pump/cramp sensation in my lower back muscles. Just tired of this shit.
  14. Genetically gifted for sure (read: freak....lol)
  15. Bring this beast down to Canberra and take me for a blat!!
  16. hahahahaha well said nah I completely understand that I should get the problem fixed even if I stop doing deads. I will eventually get around to this. However given the condition of my spine right now, I'd say I'm fairly well f**ked when I get older regardless
  17. Yeah Richard's quite the man when it comes to detailing, really knows how to make stuff come up nicely! (now if only he could give himself the once over....) hahaha kidding R! But no seriously Richard does some amazing work with simple DIY car detailing. Very impressive. If there were more money in it, he'd make a killing starting his own shop I reckon
  18. That was the idea, but really cbf trying to find the time for an appointment only to spend hundreds of dollars only to maybe gain the ability to do deadlifts again without pain. Cbf.
  19. The only things professionals have told me is "stop lifting and do yoga" lol...admittedly they weren't sports injury professionals, but still that was never gonna happen. Would sooner drop ludicrous monies on growth hormone etc than stop lifting and take up yoga.
  20. Yeah I've seen hip belt squats and am actually really keen to incorporate them - if I can work out what to stand on in the gym lol
  21. Oh, yeah I'll give that a shot at some stage of course lol
  22. Well done!
  23. Should've got someone to grab mine lol...Was way typo exhausted to leave the house again last night
