  1. http://autos.yahoo.com/news/the-death-list--cars-that-aren-t-coming-back-for-2013.html?page=all ok so its mostly a yank list but Saab and a few of the others look familiar. Especially that last one..rebadged 380 anyone?
  2. It was only a matter of time, anyone else SHOCKED that this priceless beauty was binned in Asia? http://smh.drive.com.au/motor-news/rare-7m-aston-martin-one77-crashed-20120528-1zdup.html
  3. no idea re boost but there is a forced induction section on here that would have the answers though a few of the people who came last night are pretty technical and might know the answers..guise? didnt hold me back ryan as you were way back, there were like 3 or 4 silver R33's lol, i was up the front leading the pack..like a baawwsss (till i got lost) anyway new facebook profile is up and heres the shoddy gallery, CBF deleting the blurrys as yet http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.114582825346134.16774.100003832519363&type=3
  4. spotted this and thought it relevant http://smh.drive.com.au/motor-news/speed-trap-warning-ok-to-flash-lights-says-us-judge-20120525-1z8lr.html pity its an American driver who got let off. Interesting to note your not in trouble here for warning people just 'improper use of high beams'
  5. i dont see anything luke.. anyway im mad at him because i sent him an email like six months ago asking how he went with his Toyota Tundra that i read about in his column in one of those car magazines he writes for. Im pretty sure it was via facebook, pfft its not like he would get more than fifty messages a day on there.. good to hear he is just slow generally with those things and i hadnt offended/bored him somehow
  6. yeah i saw you coming towards us and wondered if you would jump on the end, glad to hear it was too tempting an offer to pass up! hope to see you guys in July!
  7. oh and yeah that link wont work, account was just disabled fark knows why but facebook really isnt liking me lately if i wasnt so addicted i would just give up on the bloody thing. Will re upload tomorrow with a NEW profile and slowly rebuild friends list. Again. farken. ok time for sleep.
  8. i guess i could be passed by now and then for being pasty. no idea if its really that though, figure it would be irrelevant in most of the country except for inner suburban Sydney. really doubt that race is a huge issue unless your really playing up to a stereotype.. meh sleeptime
  9. can someone review the video so i can figure out whether its worth the postage? dont hold back, tell us what you really think re sound quality and camera work. .k go!
  10. yeah i will go to both if i can afford it, probably will scrape it in to both. if could only do one it would be the SAU nats as i already went to shepparton and had a ball, expect similar good times in Goulburn and will probably know more people at the SAU event. That said will probably also have an amazing time at the nationals, both events cant come soon in my books. gimme an offical sau nat thread now please!
  11. well so much for a wrap up thread over in general nsw lol will just stick the pics here now oh and yeah i noticed the random addition to the cruise Terry, i love spontaneous stuff like that. pity they didnt come along for dinner. If he wasnt aware of SAU he sure is now and hopefully we will see them again sometime. Anyway i had a great day and it was definitely worth calling in sick on a Sunday, hopefully a few more will come next time to enjoy the festivities but considering the small size of the venue the numbers were probably about right. Traffic was ok except for a bit of a snarl at the beginning of bells line of road and another one on the great western heading to Edge, no po-po as far as the eye can see and perfect blue skies..couldnt ask for more! http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.110488009090294.12400.100003872861196&type=3 if that link doesnt work then just friend me some of the better pics taken with the ifail sorry theres none of you Genelle, you were sitting too close to weirdly ended up getting missed.Oh and also got a ride in the N1 with Ian, goddamn that thing is porn.. eddies food fail
  12. i will be there sun, rain or..the other thing. i know Ronin was directed by that french guy..oh wait no German. John Frankenheimer? im hoping bullit is bearable other than the chase scene as i saw it years ago and thats the only bit i can remember..
  13. you already talked to me about this on the phone dude, if i get up in time i will be there lol will head to the meet point for 1230 but considering im planning to call in sick and miss double time and that Jus booked a table at a restarant which is full and even had others on a wait list i would say its premature to assume its cancelled just because Jus himself cant make it. We got Terry going for sure and at least a handful of others turning up i was just curious about exact numbers but CBF going back through the thread to add them up will be there either way and im sure its going to be a good day out!
  14. most. boring. doco. ever. At least you have actually been in a commercial..wondering what to wear to court on monday seeing as the pressure is off and i dont actually have to answer for anything. Thinking anything bar ugg boots and trackies will do...also will leave the pedo bear suit in the wardrobe. Yeah, for the best really.
  15. waiting for that menu josh..whether im coming or not hinges on this crucial detail..
  16. what are the numbers like now jus isnt going?
  17. lol, left myself wide open for that one. Seriously though, considering the amount of mental illness in my family its a wonder i can even type this post without drooling all over the keyboard and short circuiting the laptop. Cheers though Genelle, i will always be able to console myself with the fact that i dont snore... As for court, didnt make it in today thanks to a combination of finishing at 3am the night before and a few internet dates suddenly lining up during the afternoon. Cant complain as one was impressed enough to follow me onto the train and come with me all the way to Gosford in my guards compartment (shhh people, its a little verboten actually). She's possibly as half baked as i am though, i went into the yard to bring out another train and instead of getting on mine she accidentally jumped on a Newcastle service..the last one of the night.. Shes in a cab heading back to Sydney as we speak while i ride alone..good times. sorry for the diary entry, will attempt more courtroom reporter stuff on Monday!
  18. LOL Tezza, cant claim insanity with traffic cases but thanks for the offer i will certainly keep it in mind if im ever in trouble for something worse. knock on wood.
  19. I need the number of that lawyer terry though I dare say he would want a little more than a bottle of wine for an appearance in traffic court. Can't tell if your serious maxima but I will be there tomorrow to have a look, do you even get week days off?
  20. not sure what more you need braden (who i just realised i see every day on facebook) meet half twelve like Jus said, depart 1pm to cinema which will finish in time for the japanese food dinner which we cant be late for, then everyone goes their separate ways.. you going to have that BOV for me by this sunday? be good to finally meet some of you peeps and catch up with Eddie, Justin and Terry. something to put in the GPS for the meet up place would be good though Jus, and yeah i was too lazy to check page 1 again
  21. LOL you got me there, been driving since April though. Mostly freeway stuff but the odd blat through the city or out to West Ryde/St Ives. Passed a dozen or so HWP with no dramas. yeah Terry it comes down to money, if traffic lawyers charged any kind of reasonable fee people would be all over them. To pay 3-4k to defend a $300 ticket when you have plenty of demerit points just doesnt make any sense so most chance the guilty plea and hope for the best. It usually pays off for the ones with a decent driving record and a reallly good excuse. From what i remember that was the only really unfair ticket, even mine while an excessive punishment was still bearable but i think he got it much worse.
  22. yeah theres no point getting huffy anyway, its not like a tantrum would do you any good, sometimes you just have to take your lumps no matter how unfair it seems. oh and i hate spotting bad grammer in my posts when its too late to edit/fix it!
  23. yeah next time no WTF, as creative as it is lol would prefere it with just the tail light blur, unless you can pull off GTR in letters?
  24. Ambo ended up stopping at a house just before the intersection so he didnt even need to get out of the way! he would have had no idea though so still a little unfair, im guessing traffic offences that incure demerits are a little more serious than parking fines hence you see less of them dismissed. He was pleading guilty with explanation so no real point in appealing..like most people who get all full of bluster and hot air it all goes away pretty quick on the day. Its an intimidating environment and he like me just meekly accepted the verdict, actually THANKING the judge before scuttling back out in the relative safety outside..
  25. No probs terry, guess peoples attention spans are a little longer in this section of SAU, if I tried it in the wasteland it would just got spammed with "TL;DR" and pics of girls in bikinis. Can't argue with your logic shell, got the same message over on performance forums but with much more swearing and name calling lol. Drive pretty carefully around town as they will stop you for the slightest little thing these days, lesson learned!
