agreed the keypad leads to a unit which does the switching to the line its trying to immobilse. trace the wires and you bypass the keypad
-
hmmmmm fits does it? the H3 globes are high wattage for my high beams. so i guess this size also comes in the lower wattage for low beams then? how much and where?
-
i doubt removing both of the grills would send mixed messages. there is only one input - the AFM - to tell how much air enters the engine. this is measured after the first grill - and only measures how much air hits it to cool the wire
-
if we could get a bin image from these - maybe reduce the aggressiveness of the the timing for 98 octane fuels
-
BOoStEr duh! thanks !!! thats what I thought until I swapped them over from the hurricanes on my GTS 1 engine. lost a bit of power because of the port size difference (smaller than the ports in the head). now im shaving the GTS extractor ports to 36mm cause i got my new exhaust fitted to these extractors last week
-
those relays are a good idea. also think (if its a professional) starter and fuel pump relays can be bypassed given time. i was thinking about an injector / coil cut relay also. the more independent cut out points (especially if well hidden) it will take ages for a thief to remove the vehcile.

H3C - yeah i looked everywhere in adelaide for these and asked on the r31 forums. i wanted some blue tint ones only could either get the navara standard globes or there are apparently multicoloured 'autotechnica' globes which apparently are shite (dont last long)

r31s rb20 eccs mapped no probs (i think also including nics)
-
i cant tell you what it does on an rb25 unless someone loans me the ecu for a day.... but i have compared an image on the rb30 and all it changed was advancing certain spots on the ignition advance map and changes to two constants (rev limiting i think - since they advertised that rev limiting was increased on the vl/r31) there were no changes to the fuel maps or anything else. from what I understand the AFC will alter the signals to the ECU with determing the Voltage Quanitifier map from the AFM. i dont know what else it does without looking into it further

what is S.S? these GTS extractors only have 32-33mm ports compared to 36mm head port on the rb30. hurricane extractors ports are 36mm but not bent as nicely as the GTS one

darkhalf replied to 88silhouette's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
guys i was IRC last night talking to sp33dy about it.... As you probably have seen the old website doesn't exist any more. The account was set up by a friend of sp33dy and don't think it was legit. Anyway there are two DNS (www.mayfield.edu.au and www.r31skylineclub.com) pointing to the one IP address now (203.63.53.121), and the IP for R31 Skyline Club pages dont exist currently! Be interesting to see what happens from here but I think they've lost that IP for the club but still have the domain name. Hopefully they can fix something up with free webhosting still? -
some of the technical articles (like the temp sender and knock detection kits) have been useful having access to the archives is better value than plonking the money for a car mag at the newstand. but new subscribers do not have access to the entire archives anymore, there are different pricing schemes as of last week. existing subscribers still get access to everything

as i said before click on 'search' under his post and all the previous ones come up. he also sold DVDs etc on here. not sayin its dodgy or anything but if the sunglasses were ....

what i hate about is car alarms sold with extra functionality you have to purchase later, for example some systems do not include relays for the indicators, starter motor, boot release etc. also it is better that all these are inside the unit rather than edded on later (less messier wiring) yeah that unit looks okay but as its sold as an immobiliser it doesn't have a siren on it (although - optional horn). it has two outputs for the fuel pump and starter like most units. you can also get three phase cut outs (like cutting the power to ignition coil transistors for example make the life for a crim even more difficult even if they manage to manually crank the starter and know the location of your fuel pump wiring to short that)

RB30E engine out of R31 done 195,000 kms with good compression (I have the mechanics report) Head is cracked and engine is sitting at mechanics after being swapped over for GTS engine. So good for the bottom end and plenum chamber parts only. Ideal for RB25 head conversion Asking about $180 or near offer [email protected] Matt
