  1. Hey guys how are you all doing? Time for the second Melbourne meet? Perhaps a cruise? The weather is certainly a lot better now, it is a sunny 26 degrees outside as I write this message now!! I was thinking about a meet at a hand car wash where I have some personal interest, we could meet up in the morning, get our V's nice and shiny whilst sipping on a nice latte and having a chat.....and then go for a cruise. The deal is, we could get a deluxe car wash for half price (usually $30) and a free coffee for everyone. If you are not interested in having your V washed, you don't have to of course, you could meet us later or meet us there and just have a coffee with us. Obviously the hardest point would be to find a suitable time for everyone to meet so I will set a time a few weeks into the future and we'll start planning it to see how we go. So details as follows: Date: Saturday 5th of December Time: 10:00am Place: Blue Water Hand Car Wash, 468 Mt Alexander Road, Ascot Vale Cruise: Travel to St Kilda (via Lygon Street) and cruise down Beach Road to Mordialloc. (Just an idea) Any takers?
  2. Spotted a blue Coupe on Friday at around 6pm down Denmark St in Hawthorn. I think it was Maximus??? from this forum, I waved and he waved back!!!
  3. You have PM regarding the Cargo Net.
  4. Damn Mark, just bought mine today!!!
  5. Nice car Bee, looks nice and clean. Enjoy the ride, and welcome to the V section!!!
  6. I'm buying the Pop Charger too so I'll be down for the group buy. The z-tube I want the carbon fibre one so I'll have to buy it separately, just like Sam did.
  7. Nice one Sam, How much did each of those set you back?
  8. Good work Andy, well done!
  9. Well done Paul!!! Congrats.
  10. I also ride a 250, for the last 5 1/2 years, hahaha. But I've finally put it on the market and want to upgrade now. I normally ride with the big boys, because I'm the only one now that has not updated, so everyone normally nods back on the bike.....but you're right, there's no way I want to be seen nodding to a scooter either....hahaha. Although the better half says that if I get a scooter she will get on the bike with me....she's too scared on the 250. Back on the V's, yeah a lot of times I don't get a wave/flash back...sometimes I do. Although I don't see many at all on the streets just yet. But like it was said before, I suppose they're not part of this club.
  11. I tend to salute when I see another V. I ride a bike also, and that is what bikies tend to do when they see one another also, just a simple nod.
  12. Good luck Paul, do the V's proud!!!
  13. Oh man that is really low. Good luck with the repair, I hope it comes up even better than before for you!!!
  14. Definitely agree with the comments above, you need to get in touch with a lawyer soon. The car was definitely in their care when it was stolen. What you should perhaps do now is go to the car wash and take pictures of it, all signs, etc. Look for any small writing on the street/wall signs disclaiming their liability for the care of your car. You need to make sure that these signs are not added later at the recommendation from the Car Wash's lawyer to rid them of any liability. You might want to have a friend also go to the car wash and wash their car so that they can take a picture of the ticket that is presented to you when you get served. I was curious about the place because I co-own a hand car wash also. All the best man, keep us posted.
  15. By the way, where are you located? What car wash was it?
  16. How was it stolen? When the car was finished, did someone else approach the car got the keys and drove off from the car wash? Or did the car wash boys simply hand over the keys to someone else? Is the car wash at fault? Can their insurance pay for your car? I am really sorry to hear what happened!
  17. Great tip Sam I'll leave it lying around in the way somewhere Fresh fuel from that morning, 1/4 tank, mixed with a little bit of fuel that was still left in the tank. Shell V-Power.
  18. Great pics Ogz!
  19. Hey guys how you doing? Took the car to the Dyno today, did 169.6 rwkw, not too bad for a complete stock AT. The spacer is still to be installed, not enough time as yet But I'm getting married in 1 1/2 weeks so I'd better install is soon otherwise wifey will take all of my spare time, whatever is left of it anyway!
  20. Without the mods to the car, you get your trip computer, compas (out of range as we are in the southern hemisphere), and a few other bits and pieces, all in Japanese of course, but you learn to navigate through them easily enough. Changing to local satnav, tv, DVD, etc is definitely not a DIY job, even for those with a little bit of understanding, as the electrics of this car are quite complicated and the car's Japanese nav system is the brains for much of the other systems of the car and thus you cannot simply remove it and replace it. A fellow by the name of Chris Rogers (from this forum) is the expert at the electronics of these cars and can guide you in the right direction. In terms of costs, it's not cheap. Be prepared to spend a few thousand to change it all over as per Rianto's youtube video above.
  21. Spotted xcape237 in pieces this morning, getting the treatment from Chris in Boronia, hahahaha. I had a look at your car mate, very nice, love the wheels as you know, nice to see them in person!!! Rianto....I don't know mate, Chris is running a little late and my car wasn't ready last night, pick it up tomorrow...sometime. When are you due in??? But it should be right, Chris is here until Saturday, and I'm sure he won't leave until you are done this time!!!
  22. Nice Coupe mate, well done. Enjoy it!!!
  23. Hey guys, Our little Nissan brothers, the Pulsar club of Australia, are organising a Dyno run in VIC on Sunday 30th of August and anyone is welcome to attend. I am a member of that club as I also own a Pulsar SSS, but I will be taking my V to the Dyno and there will be other cars also. So if you are interested let me know and I'll organise it, the details are below: "Ok, so I've organised a Dyno Day for us Vic guys. Please find the details below. Normally a power run is $80 bucks from Sam, who is the king of SR and RB tuning here in Vic. When: Sunday 30th of August Starts 11am goes to 5pm (or whenever all the cars are done) Where: Dr. Drift Tuning Unit 5 / 9 Alick Rd Brooklyn, Victoria Money: $50 a car. This includes hooking up a wideband to measure AFRs, and a boost guage to measure boost levels, meaning this doubles as a car health check (: $20 deposit required, please see below. We will be running a Barbie with snags and cold drinks. (well maybe warm depending on the weather). Please confirm your attendance here, and if you're going to pike please let me know in advance (rather than not at all). A deposit is just that, it's to stop you piking and if you do not come deposit is forfeit. Please pay deposits at the Photoshoot day, or make arrangements with myself. Linky to Dr. Drift: http://www.drdrift.com.au/" I tried to put a link to the thread, but the thread is only open to members so it will not show!
  24. Razor blade on glass is quite easy actually. That is how carwashes remove stickers, etc from the windows. It is not that hard, or subsequently take it to the car wash and get them to do it for you.
