I've done three of them and they've always bolted straight up, oil and water lines all match up fine. Try find one with the compressor elbow that has the vacuum nipple coming off it factory, I'm fairly sure they come off the R34 turbos

Hey guys. I have recently rebuilt an Rb25det to put in my R32. Unfortunately today I discovered that the thread on the inside of my crank is stuffed. Does anybody here know what pitch the thread is? I think it's a M16, but I don't know the coarseness of the thread itself so that I can buy a tap to fix it. Any help would be appreciated as this is the only thing holding up putting the bloody thing in my engine bay

Checked for vacuum leaks? Your car will idle a bit higher when you first start it, then once it settles if you have any vacuum leaks they will become apparent as the revs will drop and your car will start 'hunting', i.e revs will drop,drop,drop and then kick back up. Have a good look over EVERYTHING. Even if you havn't changed something you could have knocked a hose off or something equally annoying.

I was more wondering why an RB25 turbo would be any different to tune than a cheap chinese one or something?

Hey guys, I have an RB20det with rb25det 45v1 turbo (standard RB20 wastegate), FMIC, GTR pump, 3" straight pipe, EVC4 etc. Just all of the basic mods really. I'm looking in to getting one of these Marobi chips as they have just popped back up on trademe and are cheap enough to give a try. Anyway I have advised the guy of the mods to my car, and he has come back saying this: Is this true? My car seems to run fine with this turbo? The chip is tuned for upgraded fuel pump, factory injectors/AFM, FMIC, Free flow air filter and exhaust, and also says Now to me, this sounds near on exactly the same as my setup? Can anybody elaborate? I am aware that a generic chip will never give me the same results as a custom tune, but the factory setup is 'generic' in a way aswell, so I figure atleast this chip is closer than factory to what I am running. it would be a crime not to mate. haha. yeah i'm thinking about going D-Max +15mm widebody fronts. my wheels are only 17x9 +30 (or 17x9 +5 with the spacers on) so they wouldn't really fill anything bigger. probably just goin to roll and lip them for now though.

just lowered my car a bit more and put in front 25mm spacers and r33 lca's. new camber arms in the rear and subframe lock collars. check it: it's running a shit load of toe out at the front at the mo so i'm getting an alignment today. then rolling the guards. should have a good stance once that's all done

nisskid, is that yours in the last pic? looking tuff bro. how'd you go about doing your guards? i'm after a simliar roll/flare on mine. did you just use a bolt on hub guard roller and bog? and also how far can you roll 4dr rear guards withou getting a pressure dent? the swage through the middle should mean you can get a heap more than silvias etc? only limiting factor would be the door

hey all, Just wondering if anybody can tell me how much wider R32 GTR front gaurds are than standard GTS ones? I tryed searching but couldn't find sh*t. cheers Jonny

my 32. wheels are origin dna 01's. fronts are17x9 +30 with 5mm spacer to clear brakes. rears are 17x9.5 +15,. need more low and guard work done.

if its anything like my r32 you will just have to take the spring out of the handbrake lever at the bottom and then shave a small amount off the inside of the hanbrake rubber to allow it to move freely. the drift button just slips over your standard handbrake button.

are all r33 LCA's the same? i.e turbo/ non-turbo, coupe/sedan? how much difference do they make compared to standard ones? also to put the s14 steering rack in was there any modification required? cheers -

hows it going all. i have an r32 with a rb20det and the usual mods (fmic, exhaust, fuel pump etc) and a vg30 turbo. i've been searching for info on building a rb20/vg30 hybhrid turbo but cant seem to find a whole lot. anyway my question is whether or not the rb20 exhaust housing would bolt onto the vg30 turbo and if the internals would still be able to spin freely? if so how effective would the turbo be. Would it not come on boost earlier and still maintain the top end power? Im still learning about this sort of stuff so any input would be appreciated. also dont flame me and say buy an rb25 turbo

hey everybody. Ive just installed a R32 GTR fuel pump into my r32 gtst and it has made my turbo not spool hard at all and the car cuts out when i use full throttle sometimes. I dont think that the fuel pump is faulty at all because it still has the mega whine that it should have. I was thinking maybe its not getting enough voltage? as i have had problems with this in the past. Does this sound plausable? thanks for any help -Jonny

my gts-t is exactly the same mate! i managed to fix the rough idle problem, but i still get a jerk under hard acceleration, or my car just feels like it loses power about low-mid boost. would love to sort it out but i'm running out of ideas!
