So driving to work this morning for the first time since working on the car all long weekend.... Of course, popped a cooler pipe. Turbo -> Intercooler... the one underneath everything... had to remove the airbok etc etc etc and get dirty in my work clothes Luckily I stand by carrying all my tools with me for a few days after any mods, just in case Billowing black smoke and strugging to keep idle without revving, turned into a servo after stalling twice. Happy Hump Day :| 30 minutes late to work on the week where I'm only working for 16 hours, and I need to take some time off on Thursday afternoon so I can get a taxi to go and pick it up from the retune before driving straight to Shepp so I can do Winton on Friday. #lastminutemods

There's two of the chinese places at knox city. I've been to one which isn't bad, it's in the short "Arm" of shops on the lower level, opposite the main food court. They do pants really well, cheap and fast too. And I've had a few dress shirts altered there as well.

For a temp fix, try a plastic milk bottle cap, they're about the same size... little bit of electrical tape around the neck if it's a touch too big... It doesn't hold pressure or anything since there's the overflow port next to it, so its just to stop it from sloshing about into your engine bay while cornering

2 weeks... what else is there that's drawing power? you could test the current draw of the alarm / car with everything turned off Since the battery has been dead before, it might have lessened capacity now... do you have a proper 3+ Stage Mains Plug-In Charger? Alternatively, you could buy one of those little solar panels which tickle charges when the car isn't running to keep it topped up Worked great for my dads old boat when we didn't go near it for a few months at a time.

Bought the GoPro at JB Hifi... Marked Price was the RRP Price of $529... I asked if they can do any better than that, because a bunch of other places are selling them for $449, or even $480 for brick and mortar stores. He said "I can't do anything under $513 which is Cost price for JB Hifi" He didn't have an answer when I said "Seriously? Why are you selling them at all if you're only making $17 from a sale of the High End model?" Bought it anyway. Sick of fking around trying to get one in my hands before next weekend.

Oh yeah, you know how I said I ordered the Hero 3+ from DWI for $80 cheaper than Teds Camera Store had it (RRP)... DWI took over a week to let me know that it was going to be delayed 1-2 weeks... I cancelled the order and will go into JB Hifi at lunch and try to bargain them down a bit. Stupid DWI. Their website still says Ships within 1-2 days.

Welcome to the world of Modified cars Spending too much time trying to pin blame on a workshop for the many issues that pop up with a modded car, just leaves people with a bad opinion of you and your car. The belt isn't on right now obviously, so you can't say for sure that it was too tight. I've seen 3-4 people have water pumps fail within the past year on the forums and facebook. A few of them being mechanics themselves, and know how to install belts properly... instead the casing of the pump broke apart for some reason... Buy a new n1 pump from the states, buy an aftermarket alloy radiator, install it and check it was done right. Then you're done with it.
