It's a minor error, but it's still there... Standard working hours at that place used to be 9-5 with a 30 min unpaid lunchbreak, so a 7.5h/day = 37.5h week. Thus 20 days of Annual Leave would accrue at (20d x 7.5h) / 52w = 2.88h/week When workplace agreements were the thing to do (8 years ago) they drafted one up and change it to be a 38h week and made everyone work an extra 30 minutes on Wednesday evenings. So since that time, the hours were 38/h week, which should have accrued at (20d x 7.6h) / 52w = 2.92h/week... but just looked at the payslips and although our hours were changed to 38, it was still accruing at the 37.5 rate. (They forgot to update it in MYOB 8 years ago) Only noticed because in July this year they changed to Xero and I just spotted that the number is different to what it normally was. So technically, they've shortchanged everyone... only a little bit of time per week... but for someone like me who has worked there for the entire 8 year period it adds up to about $700. (There are a few other staff that it would apply to as well, some at a higher hourly rate than I was on) Same thing with accruing Sick Leave, but thats a moot point now. Also, I had 5.5 hours of Time in Lieu which was "earnt" by getting up at 1am a few months back and fixing a major IT crisis as it unfolded... That didn't get paid out in my final pay, not sure of the legislation around that, can't find anything in the work place agreement so it should fall back to National Standards.

Shockworks Presents Round 9 - Sandown Raceway 1st Oct | Grand Final Day

Unless it specifically says "Expiry Date" then consider it a Manufacture date, as different uses have different time spans (for the same equipment)... Stupid I know. -
Also, today finally got my final pay from the old workplace... 230h of Annual Leave... 368h of Long Service Leave... Also noticed that for the past 8 years they've been accruing Annual Leave at an incorrect rate (for all employees), not going to bring up that topic with them... that'd completely block any chance of Contractor Rates once my replacement comes in and starts accidentally breaking stuff.

Thanks Martin Yep in my search for the answer I came across an article saying that they were road legal in Victoria since mid 2015, but still illegal if you travel to certain other states on your motorbike (ridiculous considering that you can be considered "Safe" in a $75 helmet, but not in a $750 helmet) Thanks for the clarification -
Did you take his stapler?

Cams Manual Schedule D - Apparel http://docs.cams.com.au/Manual/GeneralRequirements/GQ05-Schedule-D-2016-1.pdf We're "Race" / "Multi Club"... So Helmet level is "B"... In the table it seems to list "E22 (with 03, 04 or 05 amendments)" which looks like your helmet. But don't quote me on that, that table is confusing as hell. -
There will be, but I can't guarantee that it'll work well considering how reception is at Sandown.

Yep, Detects, Tracks, Alerts, and if set it can also bombard the unit with frequencies which will cause it to lose control and crash. (Lots of drones these days have built in defence against confusing signals, and will revert to a hover or return to base).Either way, it's stopped in its tracks. I'm pretty sure if you are actively using a Blighter AUDS, then breaching the CASA or CAMS policies is going to be the least of your legal issues.

I'll just get one of these bad boys... http://www.blighter.com/products/blighter-auds-anti-uav-defence-system.html

Drone's, not GoPros. http://www.cams.com.au/media/news/latest-news/new-cams-policy-clarifies-use-of-drones-at-motor-sport-events Actually it looks like they've now updated their UAV policy (as of February 2016)... but you need to have Civil Aviation Safety Authority certification and 10M Public Liability Insurance.... Yeah, rightio mate... Noone but commercial aerial photography companies are going to have that... In the past, CAMS insurance would not cover the event if the incident was caused by a UAV... so if there is an unapproved UAV flying around, the smartest move that the Clark of Course could do is stop racing until the UAV is removed. If a driver gets distracted by a drone over the track and misses his braking marker... then goodbye event coverage.

I just wish they were allowed at events that I attend... Current they're not allowed at CAMS Events, which sucks... You could use it to capture your mates breaking bones on super motos though.

And the fact that the only person you're inconveniencing is poor Alicia who works behind the desk. She's actually got a face, unlike the faceless organisation you're trying to annoy. Hate council fines. Last one I got was for parking at Mordialloc Pier, going to the meter to pay and it saying Out of Order. Took a photo of it, went to the beach for 45 minutes, came back to a ticket on my car (and 3/4 of the dozen cars parked near me). Rang them up the next day to contest it, saying that their meter was broken and all I got back was "We don't have a record of your name reporting the meter fault yesterday between 5:00 and 6:00pm". Was given an email address to contest the fine, response I got from my email was that I could take it to court if I wanted. Which they know is not viable to do over an $80 fine, they just deliberately make it hard to contest even if they know they're in the wrong, because its easier to just pay it... Congratulations dodgy parking inspector, even if 3 or 4 people do successfully contest it, they've still for $500 in fines for the afternoons work. TL;DR: Leigh, put a hundred dollars worth of coins into a sock and start swinging it. You'll get better results. Snap chat it for the lols.

Urgh.... Did laugh at the end where he yells "Watch your foot" to the girl... but there's no way that the tyre would have even toucher her foot. Would have gone straight over the top of it.

AFAIK... Ambulance Costs are a separate component that goes into organising a track day, it's completely independant to the AASA/CAMS permits (Track Public Liability)... but having an ambulance present at certain tracks (pretty much anything high speed) is often a requirement of AASA/CAMS granting you a permit for the track day. We pay the ambos to be on standby the whole day, and to be a first responder should there be an incident. If the ambulance leaves the track with a patient to take them to a hospital, the cost falls on the patient (thus, why you get Ambulance Coverage for like $45/year)... I wonder what happens to the track day if the ambulance has to take someone away (even if some old guy is having trouble breathing in the pits and needs a ride to the hospital), does the lack of ambulance presence shut down the track for the rest of the day? I'd had to think of the impact for the club if the ambo was gone for an hour and there was a major crash at the track...

Why are you guys even arguing about ECUs? We've all got different cars, different goals, different budgets... so at the end of the day there's only one thing that matters, buying whatever Mighty Car Mods recommends.

Head to the Drivetrain and Transmission area of the forum. http://www.sau.com.au/forums/forum/146-drivetrain-and-transmission/ There are dozens of threads in there regarding Auto to Manual conversions. Most of them follow these steps: Owner of the car decides they want manual Owners of the car ignoring advice to not do it and to just buy a Manual car instead. Owner does it anyway, spends thousands Owner realises everyone else was right Owner then tries to spread their newly gained wisdom by telling others that it isn't worth doing. You've moved past Step 1. Currently at Step 2, moving into Step 3. But no doubt you won't be like everyone else... Step 4 and 5 were unrelated to your specific situation I'm sure.

Shockworks Presents Round 9 - Sandown Raceway 1st Oct | Grand Final Day

No, however if you feel like your helmet could be borderline unsafe due to it's age (or if it has ever been in an impact (including dropping it on the ground)) then personally I highly recommend getting yourself a new one. It's amazing how many people try to sneak through with dodgy things, when the restrictions are there for their own safety... The CAMS scrutineers have seen it all, so if in doubt, don't risk it. -
What skyrine?

I just spotted an entry to our Haunted Hills day next weekend from Captain Lucky himself... I'm sure it's going to go well for everyone involved.
