  1. Black, stealth, wins Bright, ghey, auto salon spec... unless they're brembos etc... or big hsv brakes
  2. Get out of our State, traitor!
  3. Well you bought an HSV, clearly your brain is fried already...
  4. Yeah you'll need the correct stickers on it for scrutineering I got mine from http://www.amxoutlets.com/contact.php There's one on Dorset Road, Bayswater
  5. This ^ It'll look sweet coming through the smoke though....
  6. If its for really amateur motorsport like deca, helmet you can get a cheap one from a motorbike gear place... I got mine for $100. I'd invest a bit more into brain protection if you're doing anything high speed though... Fire Extinguisher = $30 from Autobarn... just make sure that it has a metal bracket,,, then buy some bolts and 2mm aluminium strap from bunnings for $5 and make your own mounting bracket.
  7. Pink Calipers....
  8. What? They're not fluro pink enough?
  9. Should paint the Rotor Hats as well, next time the calipers come off for something...
  10. Oooo pretty, got bored yesterday... https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5CzEwCc9-DrNTZrcTBQMXhmYUE/edit?usp=sharing
  11. Oh damn, I was hoping that you'd bring it up in the state it was in last DECA... and we'd all be able to share the joy of a blown motor limping off the skidpan All your mods were external bolt ons right? Unopened head?
  12. Trent and Cat run Chequered Tuning, they're damn good at what they do. They're located in Keysborough and really know their stuff. Sometimes their a little hard to get a hold of, but leave a message with Cat and she'll get back to you. http://www.chequeredtuning.com/ Best to talk to Trent first about your budget and goals, I'd hold off on getting that Z32 for now, SS8_Gohan is right, you might be better off running a MAP (Mass Air Pressure) sensor instead of a MAF (Mass Air Flow)
  13. wut
  14. Remember that you'll need the Plug for the Z32 as well, so it can wire straight up. I've got a 33 and put an R34 Highflow Turbo on it... If you send off your current turbo to Stao from Hypergear he can highflow it for you, changes all the internals of it to steel wheels etc which can support a lot more boost than the standard one, and machines out the housing so it flows a lot more air. I run a PowerFC with a hand controller, cost me about $1k, plus $500 or so for the initial base tune then a power tune... retunes afterwards are charged per hour.. so only end up being $150-200 or so for little changes. Nistune is a daughterboard which connects into your existing ECU, its cheaper and retains the standard ecu which is good in some ways... as mentioned above, you can get one supplied, fitted and tuned for under a grand.

    Spotted Thread

Spotted a White 33R at Brentford Square carpark in Forest Hill this afternoon. Had carbon end caps on the wing, and Nurburgring stickers on the quarter windows. Plates were GD2LLA or very similar, someone mentioned it might the SAU NSW President?
  16. Mate, you spent like $6000 on a new part which wasn't needed... don't you be throwing out a /moneypit tag because of your choice, lol
  17. For a $4000 budget and your current mods, I'd be getting an ECU, Highflow R34 Turbo, Z32 Air Flow Meter and a Tune should bring you to about 250-260rwkw. ECU and Tune only will be about $900 - $1000 and you might get 180-190rwkw or so?
  18. Discount for SAU VIC?
  19. I'll be looking to do some more track events later in the year, I've got too many issues right now for it to be reliable, wobble bushes, lack of oil cooler, etc
  20. Coilovers I've got no troubles fitting... Bushes, I'm not going to try ghetto remove any bushes that should to be pressed, ever again Mike (Miguelone) and I spent a full afternoon trying to get the suckers out of my K Frame... https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10151330100116148&set=vb.641676147&type=3&theater I've heard some very good things about them, local support is nice, they're only a few hundred more than BC BR's. Currently I'm running Bilstein Shocks and Springs, I'm about 3cm too low at the zorst, I'd like something damper and height adjustable which is still silky smooth for the street (which my current setup isn't). Car was imported in 2006 with the Bilsteins on it, so they're getting pretty old I'd say.
  21. Hmmmm DECA.... Considering Shockworks Coilovers and Whiteline Bushes before then... Wonder if its possible within a month, working full time? Have already done the 4 Rear K-Frame and the 4 Diff Bushes with Whiteline goodness... So just Arms and a few other bits and pieces to go?
  22. Most of them have got a basic jig made up, they hook the two brackets over pegs measured out at the right distance, lay the bar across it and get welding... Normally the brackets are a mm or so out in a random direction, but because of the pegs the bolts still fit fine, and the variation can be adjusted back out with an alignment.
  23. Ah ok so he's put a "Race Tuned" car back to stockish form for a smoother sale...
  24. $3280..... "PAID CASH" Yep, he's from Lalor alright... I'd be a bit wary of that big a price drop... But then again probably just realised that there's no way that someone is going to pay $23,000 for a stockish R32
