  1. 27yo Vermont South 96 GTST $13,500 agreed $550 excess Choice of Repairer (!!!!!!) $1716.19 I'm much happier with this than JCI who changed my policy this year... $13,500 -> $12,200 $550 -> $625 $1274 -> $1506 No choice of repairer (which as I found out after a not at fault repairer a few weeks ago, is a very bad thing) RACV wanted $2050 and a rim job for every mod that wouldn't be covered...
  2. 09 April 2013 PENDING - Shannons Insurance St Leonards AUS - $1,716.19 *wince* All I can say is, thank god for the CAMS Licence discount.... Finally free of Just Car Insurance
  3. Me - Hey mate any luck selling it yet? Him - Got the cat on the road with 1 year rego+rwc though might advertise next week just because i'm on red p's car is turbo, was not going to sell without rego ad was put on to generate interest Me - Rego and roc will make it easier to sell, let me know when it's back up for sale, I just got off my p's so would be a cool car to have. So it just needs a new wheel and its fine? Him - Yeah man pretty much just the wheel will let you know when its online sweet
  4. Of course it also depends on how modified it is, if modified at all... chassis cut for intercooler piping, etc...
  5. Clerk: One warranty card for Yellow Jackets, filled out by Birds Fluttershy. Birds: I don't even know what this is! This sort of thing ain't my bag, baby! Clerk: One book, "Yellow Jackets and Me: (This Sort of Thing Is My Bag, Baby)", by Birds Fluttershy.
  6. Does the report say the name of the officer who reported you? If so, go to the station and ask if you can talk to them, or organise a time to speak to them.... Then say "This report says that I was here at 2:22pm, is it possible that you've gotten the time wrong, because I wasn't even in this part of melbourne at the time." He'll of course say "No, that is correct, I spotted you at 2:22pm at xxxxxxx", reading back the details of the first report. Boom, conflicting information, and a bullshit "amendment" from EPA... Will be enough to get it cancelled.
  7. Bulk order it, save a heap on shipping....
  8. There was a thing on the news the other day about the Military giving up their search for him... Guess it took too long / resources for something that noone cares about anymore
  9. SAU is becoming cluttered with "features" They need to hide this "feedback" crap for people without any feedback... and they need to move the 100% onto the same line as the numbers to reduce the visual impact of it... "Like This" button where it is, is stupid. Move to bottom left of the post window....
  10. Oh yeah, what ever happened to your 33?
  11. I was talking about masking the outer part of the rotor... still spraying the hats and a bit of overlap onto the rotor which the pad can remove and give a round line Agree that that rust is ugly as fuark... rotor rust I used to get every time it rained and left it overnight
  12. Gonna need some side straps on the dyno or someone's going to get crushed against the wall
  13. My DBA4000's came soaked in that rust protection oil from the factory and had black painted centers which extended onto the rotors a bit... Not once I got a bit of brake cleaner onto them to get rid of the oil Goodbye paint. Yes, the brakes will get rid of the paint themselves, but I still would have covered the majority of it with newspaper and tape to stop the black from getting into the cooling vents, slots and dimples! That wouldn't be cleared by the pads right away...
  14. Who are you trying to kid mate? You lost your azn status when you bought a VE...
  15. Ha, I had a mate at uni who took his set of $800 rims from his corolla to get some SLIGHT rash repaired... the bloke was a panel beater doing some rim repair work on the side... Dropped them off and was told he'd be called the next day with a quote, gets a call a few days later saying "They're all done, that'll be $650... Come pick them up when you're ready" And the prick was threatening to not give the rims back until it was paid in full. Small claims court with evidence of an email from the bloke saying that he'd call with a quote first... = gets the rims back for "cost price" of $200 and the panel beater gets told to stop being a cock Job was crappy anyway... paint was chipping and fading after a few months. SO GO TO A QUALITY JOINT!!!
  16. I turned off Sig's somehow a few months back... Can't find the setting to turn them back on, any ideas?
  17. The Pulser doesn't have a rev limiter? What stops you from going over 9000 on its arse every day?!
  18. There was a bloke at High School who we always gave crap to because he drove around in his mums car and pretended it was his own. We'd call it the "Baby Blue Honda Jazz"... and without fail he'd always yell "It's ICE BLUE!!!!" and when we gave him crap about it being auto, he'd say that autos were faster at the drag strip... *shakes head slowly*
  19. Hey Kaz, Do you know which roundabout in Rye? Are you saying that it was an unsigned speed change? I've just looked on the Vicroads site, and couldn't find anything about a speed limit automatically dropping for a roundabout on either the Speed Limits section or the Round Abouts section... I know that most of Rye does have a 60kmh speed limit though... He could be in a tricky situation considering his previous offenses... Best of luck to him.

  21. And on goes the eternal government department "Please fill in Form A7 Blue and line up again in the Green line. NEXT!!!!" bullshit
  22. Problem is, it's a lot easier for the person on the other end of the phone to say "The Officer stuffed up, contact them" instead of "Someone on OUR END has stuffed something up"
  23. Tapatalk posts seem to have some formatting issues... Posts coming from it are getting <br /> 's placed as text within the post instead of a proper new line. eg. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/421979-certified-100mm/?p=6802731
  24. I called up Lin once, booked in my car to install the new gear... Injectors, AFM, ECU, Turbo, Fuel pump etc... Price was good as well, the only problem that he was really bogged down with work in the time span that I needed it to be done, it was going to take 2 weeks to get it done. So I ended up doing it myself at home over the same timespan, just working a few hours each night... Learnt heaps and somehow didn't screw anything up Wouldn't suggest that route to install all your new fruit on the GTR though, would be very ambitious indeed. (But would save a bucketload for sure)
  25. DECA is a great place to test your car out, it's not like you're blowing $200 on a full track day and there's plenty of people around to help if needed You'll have it all sorted by June 1st
