What do you guys think of the BNC panel filters? I was recommended to get one and it seems to work great, very high flow.... On the dyno it makes very little difference if it is removed or not... Think it was something like 250rwkw vs 254rwkw on back to back runs... Snorkle, BNC Panel and stock airbox vs no airbox lid or filter... (Open bonnet)

A pod filter will also be sucking in hot air from the engine bay. The stock air box is a well designed Cold Air Intake, and when combined with a high flow panel air filter like a K&N or a BNC is completely fine for cars with over 300rwkw (yours will currently be about 130rwkw)... If your intercooler piping is blocking the snorkle, find another way to route cold air into the stock airbox, perhaps slightly modifying the snorkle by cutting it and resealing it with tape or whatever... Sounds to me like you've got a FMIC which returns to the engine bay on the drivers side.... Bad boy.

If it is modified though, a performance mechanic would be the best option... RACV check is a good way to go, but if its got mods they're out of their depth... Otherwise we've got some pretty hardcore Evo 4/5/6/7 owners who might be able to go take a look for her, for a small price...
