  1. Spotted this from a few days back, interesting/scary read... https://boris.in/blog/2016/the-bank-job/ Remind me again why people keep outsourcing projects like this?
  2. Normally... Front Car is not at fault unless they did something malicious or downright stupid... Middle Car is at fault for hitting Front car. Back car is at fault for hitting Middle car. Quite often they'll ask the Front car if they felt 1 hit or 2 hits. If 1 hit, the collision order was Back->Middle, then Middle was pushed into Front. If 2 hits, the collision order was Middle->Front, then Back->Middle. Either way, Back car is normally found at fault... the only difference is if the Middle Car is also considered at fault (aka. Did they stop in time)
  3. Adding to Martin's list of parts, I believe it'll also need 5 new seatbelts, as these need to be replaced after an Airbag deployment
  4. Lets put it this way... 6 months ago you were tossing up if you should get an $1800 big brake kit, or just $700 on new rotors and pads... You chose the new rotors and pads as it was more cost effective. These sorts of decisions aren't possible in a 1000hp build, you just have to keep throwing money at until you reach the goal, or go broke.
  5. My loss of traction fine came in the mail from some specialist department, after being pulled over by a motorbike... in the wet, barely even slipped, stayed straight, backed off straight away... 200m later a bike comes flying up behind me in the wet.
  6. Generally about $200 for a Sandown day, maybe $230 for a PI? We often don't actually run all of the rounds in our championship, some of the rounds we join other clubs on their days.
  7. I think thats what is so good about our days, it doesn't matter if you've got 4, 6 or 8 cylinders... we're accepting of everyone.... As long as you're not the kind of person who has an odd number of pistons, thats just odd.
  8. Of course! More than welcome, don't even need to be a member of SAU Victoria at all... (Unless you want to be added to our Motorsport Championship for points) Right here in the "Events" area of the forums, there will be a thread that pops up for upcoming rounds, that will have links for entry, etc.
  9. Thank you everyone for coming! FULL RESULTS HERE To all the new people who haven't been to a DECA before, I certainly hope that you stayed on the Saturday Night and came out with us for dinner and drinks. If not, you missed out! I'm pretty sure my Sunday hangover finally kicked in while I was coming home from work on Monday evening.
  10. Sorry to head that Shaun
  11. I used to have a toolkit in the back of my 33, passengers would say "Are you expecting it to break down?". Very similar to them spotting a in-car fire extinguisher, and then asking "Are you expecting it to catch on fire?" Cuts me real deep man.
  12. At least in an MX5, if your seat fails and tips backwards... you'll be able to suck your boyfriends knob a lot easier. #sorry #notsorry #idowhatiwant #mohomo
  13. as opposed to non-election time? The sh!t slinging has already ramped up in the media... I'm also getting anti-gay marriage brochures in the mail, which say "Look closer at what it's going to cause", and it has blurry pictures of 4 snippets of articles from The Australian, as it that is a credible non-bias news source.
  14. Although not a driveline specialist, Racepace Motorsport are skyline specialists, and would be more than capable of this job. I cannot recommend their team enough.
  15. Yep we're currently at Max Capacity, there's a few slots left on the Reserve Entries that can be filled, because most likely there will be a few last minute pullouts and reserves will take their place and be notified.
  16. Looks like a duplicated thread: Head over to this topic and register your interest in being a volunteer for the day. Note: If you're driving, you can't be a volunteer (for the morning sessions at least) http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/464099-deca-officials-neededmay-14th/
  17. You'd probably want the car to be able to turn a corner without rolling if you're doing 85 turns in a 7.2km touge run...
  18. I love people doing reviews of HTPC's and they talk about heat issues / slowdowns after using it for an hour. Then you see that they've got it in an enclosure under the TV sitting on top of the vents of their amp with zero airflow.
  19. Specs for the ID18 list Bluetooth 4.0 and 802.11ac
  20. Yarr! Will be leaving at probably about Midday on the 13th.
  21. Including the cost of the new centre? Or just the labour costs involved?
  22. Question: What the fk is a Himalayan Salt Lamp? Answer: http://www.naturallivingideas.com/himalayan-pink-salt-lamp-benefits/ Question: Should I trust an article that starts with "All matter (the human body, air, water, etc) is made up of molecules which are made up of atoms which are made up of three types of particles: protons (positive charge), electrons (negative charge), and neutrons (no charge). Electrons orbit their molecules like planets revolve around a star." Answer: Get fkd with your hippy bullsh!t
  23. You did, on the 12th
  24. I thought Geelong Bitter was the new hipster choice, ever since Melbourne Bitter started getting stocked at too many licensed establishments.
