    I used to swear by Jaycar's Response Amps... but they've change manufacturing in the past few years... now its china shit... I bought a new one and it was blowing fuses right out of the box. Took it back and it was doing it on their test bench and so were the 2 others they had in stock! The old stock was great though (and what I'm now running).

  11. OK so I'm assuming a lot here so let me know if I'm off base... R33 GTS-T Current = GCG High Flow R33 Turbo on its last legs PFC Injectors Fuel Pump Z32 AFM Thought about a R34 OP6 Highflow? Its a straight bolt on and has a .63 rear housing so it can go harder than the R33 highflows... Should do up to about 265, depending on the quality of your other supporting mods. So 240 is easilly acheived while still being responsive as faaarrrk.
  12. WHAT IS THE CONDITION OF THE ENGINE APART FROM THE NUMBER OF KMS IT HAS? HAS IT SEEN HIGH BOOST OR TRACK WORK IN ITS LIFE? I LOVE CAPS LOCK.
  13. Just make sure you get it done right... High psi system... and you really don't want to drop 5L of oil / oil pressure @ 7000rpm....
  14. Yep been running it for a while now... Previous owner put on a GTR front bar though, so get minimal flow through the sides of the bar compared to the stocky, lol... PowerFC sitting on my desk here at work, delivered 2 hours ago. FMIC, Oil Cooler, Bosch 040, Z32, 550cc Injectors are all in various forms of transit towards me as well. Now to decide between a Highflow R34 Turbo or a 3076R lowmount... Hmmmm

  17. I did about 20,000km on my 33 GTST. After owning my car for almost 2 years, midway through 2011 I entered the SAU and SAU:VIC communities and was welcomed with open arms. Such a friendly bunch. Bunch of mini cruises and a couple of SAU:VIC meetings. August DECA was great fun and even through I had no clue how to drive properly on the backtracks or skidpan I came in 18th November DECA was wet, wasn't as lucky with the ranking but still had a hell of a good time SAU Nationals 2011 :D Awesome! Can't wait for next year. And in the final few days of 2011 I made plans to start tracking my daily and set my plans into action by buying a whole bunch of gear so I can't back out of the decision even if I wanted to... Also, congrats Bluey!

    Depends what sort of budget you've got for the system... If you're looking at spending under $1k, perhaps JB or Ebay. If you're looking at spending up to $2k, then you can venture into the world of specialists with quality gear Whats your budget and we can recommend some stores...
  19. I've just bought a JJR Oil Cooler and Filter Relocation Kit because I'm planning to start tracking my 33 GTST this year. It does not come with a thermostat but I saw a suggestion of making up a small cover which can clip to the cooler during the cooler months when you're not at the track or driving in 30+ degree days, if you're concerned about over cooling your oil. $10 in materials and you'll have a durable cover which will effectively stop the cooler from working when its not required. Might be a better idea for you?
  20. Yep if its dumping fuel into the engine, the fuel pump will need to be on more to keep up the pressure. Also if the fuel pump is dying it'll be pumping less fuel, so it will need to be on more to keep up the pressure. Question for someone more knowledgeable than myself: If the sensor which measures the fuel rail pressure is dodgy and the pump is staying on because of that, would the pressure get way too high in the rail, and spit more fuel through the injectors? causing the rich condition the OP mentioned?
