  1. Advice taken onboard. They wiggled when I tested last night.... so it was a very quiet drive to work this morning
  2. Brews shall be purchased between the outskirts of Shep and the motel, don't you worry about that My only concern is the capacity of the mini fridge not being a team player No subs, and my amp is bolted in pretty securely, they won't be going anywhere. Are you saying the stock space saver, bolted in properly, needs to be removed? Will probably rip it out when I get to the motel for the weight anyway...
  3. So I had a dream (nightmare) last night that I got to DECA and I had forgotten something and wasn't allowed to compete. Just to confirm, all I need is the following? : Entry form, faxed, paid and accepted and on the list. AASA Club Licence Application Printed and Filled out, to be paid with $50 on Saturday Morning. 1kg CAMS Approved Fire Extinguisher, bolted to a bracket that I've made from 30mm x 3mm Aluminum strap going between my front bolts on the passenger seat. Motorbike helmet is alright? Jeans, Long sleeve top and fully covered shoes? Anything else I need to do before I head up on Friday arvo? Getting really excited now, every time I think of it I get a little grin going and people at work ask me why I look funny I want 22c, still and dry. Bring on the dry weather, I wanna see what some of you guys can do
  4. Unacceptable!!! Good news for those on the waiting list though
  5. Hmmmmmm.... I've been reading through all the other Hicas related threads on here and a lot of them seem to have this problem. There were mentions of bad battery earth (mine does need replacing badly, I had to remove it a few months ago for a little bit to get a new battery in, and ever since then my stereo has a bad earth whine to it...) I will try HICAS Diagnostics as well and report back. Otherwise, looks like it might be time for a lock bar
  6. Hi Guys, R33 GTST S2 w/ A-LSD Full exhaust (High Flow 100 cell Cat was installed 2 days before the problem first appeared) R34 SMIC (Installed last weekend) Last week (Thursday) I went and got petrol at the servo and when I turned my car back on, the HICAS Light was on and the steering was very heavy (still drivable though). I turned the car off, waited 10 seconds and turned it back on, Light was still on, Steering still heavy. I drove it home (2km) then turned it off, waited 30 seconds. Still bad. I went inside and got my Consult Cable / ECUTalk Display and went back outside to plug it in 30 minutes later. When I started it up it was working perfectally again, No Light, Power Steering working. ECUTalk displayed No Fault codes on this or previous starts. All was fine for a week, did 350km on it and then last night went to get Petrol. Same Servo, after the same 40 minutes of peakhour. Filled up my tank with another 45L of V-Power and started it up. Once again, Hicas Light on and no Power Steering. No Fault Codes. Drove it home and just before I turned into my driveway (2km) it magically fixed itself and the Hicas light went off and power steering returned. Random Questions: Any ideas what I should check or what might be causing this? Is Fuel in any way related to HICAS? Is HICAS in any way related to Power Steering? Maybe a sudden temperature difference when I add in 45L of cold fuel to the warm car? Anyone else had this issue? Heading up to DECA in 3 weeks but don't want to be trashing around a car with HICAS or Steering issues, obviously. Thoughts? Cheers, Simon
  7. Not sure about the differences between GTST and GTR clutches, but I just recently got my R33 S2 GTST done. I ordered an Exedy Heavy Duty Clutch Kit from www.kudosmotorsports.com who are based in queensland, delivered it was $485 compared to the $730 I was being quoted by my mechanic. Got him to install it though, don't think he was too impressed 4 hours x $70 / hour, I dropped the car off on a tuesday morning and picked it up on a Wednesday Arvo since it is right near work and it takes a bit of time to do since they needed to send off the flywheel for machining at another place. So all up installation was: 4 x $70 = $280 + $70 for machining the Flywheel = $350 Edit: Just glancing at an older invoice from the same place (Cheltenham Service Center) who are apparently Nissan Specialists... Looks like their normal hourly rate is $80, might have dropped it a little cus I'm in there a bit, or because I was relaxed and didn't push them to do it all in one day (which is possible if really really required, for me it wasn't...)

I don't think its who any of you are thinking of She was a light skinned brunette, and it was definitely turbs. Mmmmmm Think I need to chuck my SAU Vic stickers on, might get noticed more often by you guys White R33 GTS-T with White on Black Slimline ODIUM plates, last spotted... in my driveway.
  9. Ha, good point Bit tricky with the guys I've gotta collect on the way... Meh I'll give them some notice and they can suck it up and leave early as well. <--- Good friend.
  10. Q: Hi I am interested how this chip works? A: PROMAX X-CHIP connected directly to ECU sensors (MAF/MAP/IAT/O2) by playing with this sensors we can change ECU stock parameters. Ummmmm..... So it tells the ECU lies about what is actually happening with the engine. Causing it to run leaner or richer than it was originally designed to. Sounds like a great idea I love the bit where it says that it does not void the warranty. Imagine taking that back to the dealer and saying that the engine leaned out and you want a new one replaced under warranty

Black R34 GT-T on Warragul Road / South Road at 8:45am Hot chick doing her makeup. I would have dropped my standards for her.
  12. Good to know, I'll be aiming for about 1m20s then How do you guys normally travel up there? I'm heading up on Friday Night after work, do you normally convoy up there or just meet at the Motel? Was planning on leaving from Melbourne CBD at approx 5:30pm or so... (picking up a few guys from the city on the way)

  14. Yay, welcome to SAU Dave... See you tomorrow morning bro, its car mod time You're going to love the Long Wang, even though I know you're used to Short Wang. (Leon, I'd like to be in the same group as my mate Davis Memmings, if that is something that matters at this point ) Cheers, Simon Dammit, even google image search is trying to change his name back to how it should be.
  15. Whoa, what happened to the Entry List? Wasn't it up around 48 the other day? Whole bunch of names have dropped off
  16. Ummmmm.... Automatic R33 GTR with an RB25? I am confuse.
  17. Tow it up with the STi then give me the keys, I'll make sure it gets driven... Even up that Running/Driving ratio for you
  18. It's supported on my macbook (core 2 duo)... but I don't have a multi touch trackpad, and the chipset of the wireless is the wrong kind... So no gestures other than scrolling up and down, no AirDrop... useless "upgrade"...
  19. Is the engine local to you? Might want to get someone with rb25det neo/standard experience to pop down there with you and check it out... Are there other visual differences other than the plastic covers? Maybe get the seller to take a bunch of pics of it for you and post them up here?
  20. Did you order your o2 sensor? I'd say that once these are done most of your problems should vanish...
  21. I honestly can't believe I read this thread all the way through, lol. 3/4 through the first page it turned to hell and it went downhill from there Infinite boost yo!
  22. iPad 1 or iPad 2? Since a new iPad 2 is $579 delivered?
  23. I faxed my DECA form early this afternoon, but wasn't a member of SAU-VIC yet. Applied/paid for SAU-VIC 30 mins later... I left the Club Membership number blank on the DECA form, is that going to matter too much? If so, Could you guys please add in Simon Henman's new SAU-VIC number (yet to be received) to my DECA form? Cheers
