  1. Flat tyre yesterday... Nail goes in, Nail comes out... big hole and dropping 10psi in 2 minutes. Was running on the sidewall for a few km's, and it was only feeling mildly sloppy on the road... pulling slightly to the left. Only realised something was properly wrong when I booted it hard from the lights and the rear end started walking to the side. Liam came and rescued me with a socket set and breaker bar, because top bloke.
  2. I always seem to come home with 60L left over after something goes wrong But I allocate 2 x 20L for the round trip to PI or Winton
  3. Do also need a PM.... Man, I want more Buller...
  4. This better be in someone's sig by the end of the night.
  5. Saved money on smokes = More money for mods (or in your case, repairs)
  6. I've seen it done quite often, and most of the time all it acomplishes is leaning out the front cyls due to uneven flow
  7. Ford....

I dub thee, munted... https://www.dropbox.com/s/46cg9n2ygbx0s0h/12168613_10152999017271148_671803421_o.jpg?dl=0 and now... slightly less munted, but still not something I'd use as a jacking point https://www.dropbox.com/s/dr6r5ak70rbznni/12165934_10152999024131148_1086310009_n.jpg?dl=0 *sigh*.... Ah well, at least I'm able to bolt my guard back on again now
  12. Ryan? I was buddied up with Adrian for that Snow Trip... was perfect since we were the same skill level (horrible) at Snowboarding and progressed at the same speed through the week (up to borderline slightly less horrible)
  13. That's AUD$35,000/day... Jesus, move him out of that 5 star hotel of a hospital room and put him in a closet somewhere. That's the first step I'd make once it's been a few months with no change.
  14. Don't think I've actually had a Tooheys Extra Dry since, and I'm 100% ok with this
  15. Had many a session at "Einsteins" bar at Deakin getting slaughtered off $10 jugs of TED, $20 each and the table was blind by the time the 4pm lecture rolled around.
  16. Wake up when phone starts vibrating, remove homeless man's head from your lap, go to work, clean the drool mark off your slacks.
  17. If I'm driving hard and want good response: Step 1 is BEING IN THE RIGHT GEAR! You don't need power at 2000rpm, you should have already downshifted two gears and getting it into the peak power band of the engine/turbo setup. So for me, response isn't about RPM, it's how long the turbo it takes to come onto full boost when I stomp the loud pedal and I'm already at 5000rpm. A decent power curve is nice below there, makes everything nicer on the street. But don't expect to make balls to the wall power AND have all the power down low in a turbo car, or it'll run out up of go after you get above the midrange (which is where you'll be if you want to go fast) I'm talking about manuals of course, because fk autos
  18. Mate of mine rode his CBR1000RR up to DECA and back a few times... even in perfect weather he was a broken man for the next few days
  19. OUCH! Sorry to hear you encountered that scum! Was the gearbox actually yours and they wrecked it with launches? Or did they swap your good one for a known bad one? Where is the oil leak from? any evidence of other work near that area?
  20. I'm constantly surprised by the low end torque the 4g63t has, even before it's come onto boost (which happens very early, compared to the highflow on the 2.5)... But it's still not a car that really makes you moist and love driving, especially at what I estimate to now be about 160awkw...
  21. Selling it to buy a Jet ski? It's summer time Moh, tits out for the boys
  22. And good luck getting to a 5pm - 7pm flight with the clusterfk that is the M80 merge
  23. Can't get East West Link done, or NBN done properly... so how are we going to do a 900km high speed railway?
