Level 1 Tech at a Managed IT Services Company... effectively outsourced IT Department... Not totally sure it's what I want, I don't do amazing things under pressure, so having 100% chargeable hours may not be the best fit for me. Additionally they work with a lot of technologies which I've never touched in my current role so I can't claim to be an expert in them. But at least its got room for career progression. I'll see how my current job goes for a while, it'll either quickly get better or quickly get worse now that these steps have been taken.

Went for a job interview on Thursday afternoon. I deliberately let it slip to the biggest gossip in the office, took about 45 minutes to get back to the CEO... So predictable... Friday morning got called into a meeting with HR here to ask about it, lel... Friday afternoon we all went out to the local microbrewery for lunch (pre-planned) and a happy birthday thing for me. Awkward As Ferk. Needless to say, it'll be interesting over the next week, will see if anything changes in the company after my stern feedback about the management style... or if nothing changes and they give me a further raise (had a tiny one after my KPI review 2 weeks ago) to keep me with the company or let me go / start issuing warnings for non-issues like I've seen them do in the past.

On the one asking about what was needed to switch to E85... he ended up sending me a facebook message asking me if a surge tank replaces the fuel tank and if it would save weight... ffs mate, just take it to a workshop if you know nothing

Cheaper until you realise that hardly anyone in Australia knows how to tune them, so those who do charge out the butt... or they actually don't know what they're doing and you're up for the cost of a new motor (again).

I skipped over ME and skipped over Vista... everything else has been getting progressively better as it goes. I don't understand people saying that they don't like 8 and 8.1, yes its a big visual change to the Start Menu... but you how often do you actually spend in the Start Menu each day? If it's anything more than 60 seconds over the entire day, you're doing it wrong. For me I do the logical things: Pin commonly used programs to the task bar so they're just one click away. Right click on the task bar -> Properties -> Always launch to desktop If I need to launch a program that isn't pinned, I tap the windows key on my keyboard, type the first few letters of the program then hit enter... I'm in the start menu for a whole 2 seconds... Please, tell me how that's impeding on my productivity in a negitive way. I don't get why people are acting like it's a "Tablet OS"... No, it's not... it's the same old desktop that you've used for years, they've just changed a few UI elements to make them touch friendly if you want to hang out in the start menu / those apps all the time. 100% not what you'll be doing if you want to be productive on a PC. deeez niggros just be scared of change

So my dearly departed nanas place in Mt Waverley went to auction on Saturday... ~12 months ago the estimate was 880 ~3 months ago the estimate was 1.2 ~2 weeks ago the estimate was 1.1 Nek minute someone caught an 8am flight into the country and snatched it up for 1.33 So at the moment, quite happy with the international buyers situation. 6Teen Le...%%%%..eds Rd Mt Waverley if anyone is interested in the property size / location (anti-google search resulted the text, I'm not actually that dyslexic)

Rarely... So much d**king around with extra insurance and forms and its generally only 1 x session near lunchtime... You're always able to be a passenger in the drivers seat of your own car though.

Hey accountant type people... At work we're currently on MYOB Premium v19.10 (Old desktop version) running on a Terminal Server with 5 users and 5 company files... Been holding off on moving to the cloud since hardly anything cloud based seems to be able to handle a business of our size/complexity/inter company accounts/multi-currency/etc We're looking at moving our company files into MYOB Advanced Plus which is effectively (as far as I can tell) a cloud version of EXO and looks to have all the features we're after... but after speaking with MYOB they're quoting an estimated 150 hours to import our company files at the cost of $20,000 and then $139/user/month.... They've generously offered us a payment plan of nearly $2k/month over 12 months to spread the upfront cost out a bit... Does this $20k this seem normal? How do they not have any tools to import from one of THEIR file types into another one of THEIR software offerings? Are there any alternatives we should be looking at that allow for multiple currencies and multiple companies?

Watched a review of the new ones this other day... they're a tiny little cube... Clearly an Entry Level version of the HD Hero we're used to considering that the picture quality is actually less in the new one than in the Hero 4 Silver And martin, if that skydiving video is the one I think it is... it lands in a pig pen in mud? Thats a bit different than being hit by a golf ball right in the lens 3000+ meters compared to 100 meters doesn't make any difference, once it has hit its max speed / terminal velocity it isn't going to get any faster... I've sat here for the past few minutes trying to think of a joke about how a Go Pro filming at "Terminal Velocity" would be horrible, like the movie... but I got nothing.

S6 is quite a slippery phone compared to my old Galaxy Nexus... the S6 Edge is even more slippery since you can grip one side of it properly. At this stage the "Edge" is a gimmick feature which will be very rarely used, not worth the cost increase tbh.

Internode is an Optus reseller if I recall correctly? There are some Telstra Resellers out there like Aldi, but I'm pretty sure that all data transfer is limited to 3G instead of 4G or 4GX, which is very noticeable when I ran side by side tests with a friends phone vs mine.... But yeah... currently paying $85/month for my plan with Telstra with a Galaxy S6 and 3.5GB of data... the same could be had much cheaper with other providers, but noone but Telstra has this sort of reception Australia wide. Got so sick of Optus when I was with them a few years back

The only time I have seen that colour before was when an old cat of ours decided to spend the day chewing up a highlighter and later ate an arseload of grass then threw it all up on the living room floor. That MX6 is Fresh. As. Fk.

I'm still undecided on how I think it looks with a more aggressive front bumper, can't work out if I like it or not from pictures... Can't wait to see it in person
