  2. Yeouch... pretty close to the concrete too, actually pretty lucky Interesting, I've never entered the track back there... dem cold tyres + 470kw... deadly combo
  3. You're welcome... 1350 tyres later...
  4. Post footage. Now.
  5. As a business owner, it'd annoy me more if I had to pay staff hourly rates while they sit around twiddling their thumbs waiting for work to come in the door. I'd rather be sending my car to a shop that you know is busy (IF you know they're busy because they're good, and won't start cutting corners to save time), compared to a shop that can take you immediately because they've got no customers (probably for a reason) Also, I prefer dealing with business who are registered for GST, lol
  6. Have started some minor prep for the track day...
  7. Got an sms last night from my gym, which I've neglected of late... and been to once in the past 18 months... "Hi Simon, we require you to please come to the club and sort your membership out as we'd like to get the amount owed cleared off the system. If you have any questions please just ask and read the terms and conditions of your membership agreement to avoid further extra costs." I was about 2 minutes away from there on my drive home, so dropped in and asked why there was any amount owed, it's linked to my valid credit card (and expires 11/2015). They said my card expires 11/14 so I owe nearly $300 in membership fees and disloyalty charges. My actual response to that was "Get f**ked, that's not happening... You've made a mistake and I've been overcharged because of it", with the aim that he'd drop the disloyalty charges for each failed transaction. Instead he dropped the membership fees and kept the disloyalty charges. So I cancelled the membership, he said to hold onto my passcard incase I wanted to be re-start my membership within the next 3 months. Some new members were signing up right next to me with the same guy, who was trying to multi task instead of concentrating on a single customer at a time. This annoyed me so I got stuck into him, loud enough that they could hear as well, asking why there was no notification when payments started failing because of their mistake instead of just letting an account rack up a large pile of fees. He had no answer, and as I was leaving he calls after me "Seeya mate, I hope you achieve your goals". Dick.
  8. I'll be there
  9. Correct, it's not a "come and try" event
  10. Weight though? LS1's got the fact its so light going for it, doesn't throw off the balance of the cars too horribly.
  11. I normally give zero fks about v8's... but watching the Fast'n'Loud crew unboxing one of their built crate motors makes me Hnnnnnggggg!!!! on the regular
  12. Lol when we had our Track Day tech night the other month the pizza delivery dude rocks up in an RX8 with 40 pizzas... Saw it was a car type event, gave it a rev coming up the driveway... we lold in pity
  13. 3 (took 4 because we enjoyed the pub too much)
  14. That awkward moment that you shifted Dave into 4th...
  15. Bachelor of IT (Computer Science / Software Development) Meh.... doesn't actually give you any experience in the industry though
  16. Yeouch! No paint damage other than the dent? Give Mick from Micolour a call... He's a genius and has contacts for paintless dent removal...
  17. Damn, I think I went through about 45L getting home Cruising off boost (but I guess the intake leak would have made it richer than normal)... However, it used over 40L for 240km on the way up as well. 40 / 2.4 = 16.6L/100k (mostly off boost, but a few little squirts) No rush on the Jerries, won't need them all for a while (until the next long distance track). Where do you live again? I'm in Vermont, work in Cheltenham
  18. Post Link...
  19. Yo, where my Jerrycans at? I got home with the fuel guage sitting right on E, and 1/2 a jerry in reserve. Perfect.
  20. eh... normal toolbox + elastic bands or something to stop them from tangling with each other.
  21. Ohhhh how did I miss you in my list? As someone just posted on my wall:
  22. Wasn't his 33 He was driving a bimmer and another skyline on the day
  23. SIMON intake as well, its sucking in like a thai hooker Dave's 86 eggd out a sidewall, then completely blew out just past benella Another FT86 brake caliper blew a seal 32R grenaded a built motor after leaving a BP Level Oil Slick on the track S15 broke, but then later I saw it driving Evo blew a turbo Few commos got booted for noise, warned once for their straight pipes but then didn't do anything about them before going out for the next session Few others with issues on the day
  24. So apparently I now own a Bio Fuel Tractor... Exhaust mani is gone, pissing out all sorts of horrible noises Intake mani gasket is gone, introducing a boost leak and a vacuum leak that you can hear from inside the car at idle The 240km drive home was fun, especially going through the Tunnel :|
