I removed all my tint many months ago now... I miss it... but it's awesome being able to see at night! So glad to be rid of the horribly scratched blue crud... Also, dear son of rajab... removing it from the rear window with windex and glad wrap on the inside...then a heat gun on the outside of the glass to boil the windex against the tint... If you've never been high on windex before, good. I don't recommend it!

Bloke at work had a 2006 Alfa GT, it was so horribly unreliable... He was trying to sell it for over a year with hardly any bites... 2 months ago some drunk kids (??) ran over the top it it (and a few other cars in the street) and it was written off. Great success! Bastard sat in my backyard for 6 months while he was overseas, there's still a mark on the lawn

I assume you're talking about something other than a workshop?
-
Yeah I've had the in the past as well, don't worry though, a bit of penicillin clears it right up

Mate, if you've been been hard done by, go to the police about it and get it dealt with... Stop with the forum vigilantism and "Calling out" admins / moderators who this has nothing to do with... I admit most of the stuff you're saying he's done does make him sound very sus, so take it up with the relevant authorities and get it resolved.

Chris, Andrew, Craig and I are in as well... Anyone else coming along?

I'm an IT Admin and my main computer is a Macbook Air, works great for me because I manage a lot of debian machines and we're not really a windows based office. Would be a completely different story if I was running a windows domain and needed to manage that... I mostly buy macs for people in the office because they are so simple that they can't really stuff anything up, but it also means I need to configure everything manually (no decent deployment options for companies of our size) When it comes to phones though, for me Android is the way to go... iPhones are great and I generally recommend them to people who don't have a clue how to use technology, but these days most people understand how phones work and are 100% fine using a Galaxy S... I use the Nexus line of phones, but I wouldn't recommend them to most people because shit DOES break sometimes when a dev doesn't update an app in time for a new OS release... There's really no point in arguing back and forth anymore, its all about what works for you... no point trying to convince other people to take the same road as you because they are a different person with a different use pattern and tech level...

Hold up, I can't think of a single person I know who uses Siri for anything more than entertainment purposes or the occasional "What does xxxx mean?" question... Which Google Now does very very well... I just tested it with a few statements and it nailed every single one of them. What is the capital city of australia? What is the temperature going to be here tomorrow? What is the temperature going to be tomorrow in australias capital city? What is the Android Kit Kat Market Share? Navigate to Sandown Raceway Open Application Texas Holdem How far is it to Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit? Beam me up, Scotty. Good luck getting it to understand anything when I'm driving the skyline though

It's a bike though, insurance is cheap because they know that they won't have to pay out a written off bike, because you'll be dead...

Yeah I was reversed into by someone, JCI said they'd repair my car and then chase up the "at fault" insurance company for the costs.
-
I was told with Just Cars that I didn't get to choose the repairer when my door was dented in, I just had to take it into their assessment center and they had 3-4 of their workshops look at it and quote on the repair and it went to the cheapest (approx $1k) Ended up with a 2nd hand door, resprayed very well in white and all my stuff (speakers, window glass, mirror etc) swapped onto the new door). They scratched the glass badly, tint was destroyed, door didn't actually close properly because the window glass wasn't adjusted at all. Didn't think to check any of this at the time I went to pick it up because it was quarter past 5 and everyone (them and me) were running late for things... Power mirror doesn't work at all anymore and sometimes the window switch stops working (loose connection somewhere, a bump in the road usually fixes it up). Called up JCI and they said it wasn't their problem, they didn't want to take a report of the bad workmanship, instead I should re-book it in with the workshop that did the repairs. Called the workshop, they said that I'd need to book it back in via JCI as it was an insurance job and that it would be another couple of days I'd be without the car. Ended up fixing the majority of it myself so I wasn't carless for any more time, inconvenient as hell 2 weeks later I got a renewal notice from JCI which was $400 more than the previous year, with a $2k reduction in agreed value. Told them to go fucck themselves and went straight to Shannons now that I can afford to / they'll take me as I'm old enough and have a good history.

$1780 All mods listed. for I think $13k, $500 excess

What's the point in going for Just Car, their only benefit is "Daily Car Use"... but you won't be there 21 days each month anyway...
-
Someone reverses into your door and causes some damage... Do you want the car to be resprayed by Jim Bob's Auto Repair (who put in the cheapest possible quote) or do you want Mick to do the repairs properly?

In!

Everyone seems to be forgetting that a tuner generally gets the max possible out of the car's setup, then makes the power curve nice... prints a graph of what the car made with the mods... and then any decent tuner pulls the tune back a bit so that it doesn't explode after a bad batch of fuel or a really hot day or a bit of heat soak... If I go to a tuner and get a power tune it might make 270rwkw, then I'll actually drive out of there with 250-260rwkw and some piece of mind that its safe enough for a daily pounding no matter the conditions... If I then go to a different tuner they'll run the car as it came in... and it will read 10% down on the "Printout" that I got from the first power tune.

Did this actually happen anywhere? Damaging?

Where to go to get some QM1 mixed up into a spray can? I've got a front bar at home that I want to paint. Any idea of a rough price on a can of basecoat and a can of auto acrylic clear?
