  1. There's not TOOOOO much to go wrong with a swap like this... Just getting it to a stage where it can be rego'd could be an issue, lol
  2. Wait wut? $5000 to swap shells? bahaha... Give it two weekends in a carport with no hoist and you're only out a few hundred in consumables and beer...
  3. By which time you won't be able to sell it at anything near what an N/A skyline sells for because it's unable to get a roadworthy certificate or be legal on the roads. If you're on your P's... wait till you're off your P's... If you're off your P's... sell it and buy a turbo and you can MAKE money AND have a much faster car with all the other stuff that turbos have (proper brakes, suspension etc)...

Burwood Highway, Upper Ferntree Gully... sounds to me like he's making his own bad luck...

  6. It's not that tricky to do is it? Just drain and fill?
  7. Go into Autobarn and walk towards where they keep the neons and all the other ugly crap you shouldn't ever put on a respectable car. If your wipers are in bad shape and you want to make them look better, pull them off the car, sand the back a bit with sand paper then hit them with some etch primer, then some satin black, then a matte clearcoat.
  8. In case you guys missed it... Come along to Round 2 on August 31st!
  9. He got struck by the Mohsen curse last night and has his engine bay fuse box catch on fire...

  12. Na they're good for some people, android are good for some people. High end models android models are about the same price as entry model iphones, and are just as usable as iphones. Specs aren't everything, so although iphone specs are a bit behind the 8ball due to their release cycle, the apps are designed for the specific specs... so the User Experience is the same. If you've got a low end android then you're going to have a bad time... 8 MegaPixel vs 16 MegaPixel.. who gives a crap... They both take great looking photos and handle low light really well. If you wanted a pro camera, you'd buy one, instead you're using a phone which is more than capable. The Samsung S5 has a slightly sharper picture, the iPhone 5S has a slightly more accurate colour capture. Does anyone notice? No... Personally, I'm an android guy, 100%... but the iPhone is still the best phone for some people, definately not for me though.

  14. I'd punch any tech hipster wearing that in the dick, fo sho. Birds will backhand him while wearing his pretty watch, as long as it will inflict pain.
  15. Do you miss your balls? What did they do with them after they got cut off? Did you get to keep them in a little jar?
  16. Are evos designed for smaller statured folk like myself?
  17. Suck my tool
  18. This is the core of the issue... You don't think it's worth $80/hour to do, however for a skilled machinist in a shop dedicated to tasks like this it is... They've got to pay Wages, overheads, Rent, Cost of Equipment and Consumables, Superannuation, Taxes, Power, Gas, Advertising and a skinny philo called mikeymike to sweep the floors. They're a business, if that can make a small profit after that they're doing well. This is why I DIY as many things as I can, only going to specialists if its something that I can't (or it isn't cost effective for me) learn to do myself using my own tools.
  19. How long would it take a machine shop to set up 4 wheels on their large scale industrial lathe, taking the correct amount off and not risking upsetting the balance of the wheel in any way. I'd imaging it takes a decent amount of time to do considering you're grinding inside the area you would normally mount it with... So it's gotta be done using clamps around the outside of the wheel. If each wheel was completely done in 15 minutes (wouldn't be), that's only $80 an hour for precision work on a machine worth many thousands of dollars.
  20. 1mm? You trying to change the offset? or clean up the mating surface?
