Of course you can get fined in non metered parking spots... All meters do is collect money for parking there and make the inspectors job easier by letting them know how long a car has been there... No meter just means that the inspector needs to see your car there, and sometimes they'll put a little mark on your tyre, and then come back 15 minutes later and if the mark is in the same spot then the car has been there longer than 15 minutes. If they've got in-ground sensors, then it's just another form of metering without any payment required for the time you park there. Well lets just say we have quite a few mac's in the office, and they come preinstalled with Photobooth... and when I'm asked to transfer a pretty young thing's account to a new computer, and make sure all her documents, emails and PICTURES are there... Well... they were. And obviously there's always random questionable content in Downloads folders. People not realising that every photo that gets taken on their phone gets sync'd to their iPhoto if they've got iCloud turned on, so they do something which opens iPhoto and boom... wife pics from the phone and much awkward silence...
