  1. Like I said in the other thread, you will need to get an exemption if you are on your P's. Speak to the RTA. Generally you are protected from retroactive regulatory changes as these unfairly affect people who acted on the best advice at the time. Download the exemption form and fill it in. Let us know how you go.
  2. That nose is a bit big. Interesting kit though.
  3. Nice find. Have you noticed any differences in features/functionality between the US manual and the imports?
  4. There's a couple of aftermarket modification options discussed in this thread
  5. Just because you've seen one on the road with P's doesn't mean it was legal (it might not be), or that you can also have it (they might have an exception from their RTA). There ARE exceptions to the rules. If you owned the car before the rules came into effect, or its the only car you have access to, etc. So call your local RTA to discuss. This is for the Coupes. Sedans with the smaller engines might be fine. Illegal in NSW P1/P2 licence holders are also restricted from driving the following 6-cylinder vehicles: BMW M and M3. Honda NSX. Nissan 350Z and 370Z (including private or 'grey' import variants eg. Infiniti G35, Infiniti G37, Skyline 350GT (V35), Skyline 370GT (V36)). All Porsches from 1994 models onwards (except diesel). Mercedes Benz SLK350. Illegal in QLD A high-powered or performance vehicle is defined to include a vehicle with any of the following: of more than 200kW under the manufacturer's specifications for the car Probably Illegal in Victoria. Not sure as their current list is down. Call to find out. Their old list had the 350z on it.
  6. Speak to loz He's done a wheel swap on his v36 already and is really knowledgeable.
  7. There is a distinct lack of v36 info on the site. As an owner awaiting delivery of a v36 I appreciate the effort he's made to ask some questions that will be easily searchable in the future.
  8. I sure hope you guys figure this out amicably. My v36 is due in a fortnight and anything that reduces the chance we'll get a conversion down the road is a loss to the community.
  9. Does the heat from the exhaust cause problems? Melting vinyl?
  10. At the moment there aren't enough cars in Aus to warrant investing in the work to make it happen. My v36 is on a boat from japan at the moment, but hopefully the conversion will be available later this year. Maybe andy65b has an update?
  11. Hey guys, I've been a lurking member for a while. I finally got around to purchasing the exact car I wanted. At the moment all I've got is the auction pics from Japan. Hopefully I'll have a lot more in about six weeks.
