All Castrol Edge oils are Castrol Edge Sport so yes. Like I said, only 25W-50 is the only non synthetic ( ie mineral) which is displayed on the bottle. So yes, they used a fully synthetic Castrol Edge in the test

Well, I'm sitting next to the Castrol Edge Australian marketing manager right now, and it is fully synthetic, except for 25W-50 as its designed for "big bore" street machines ( old school muscle). The other three 0W-40, 10W-60 and 5W-30 are fully synthetic. Just thought Id clear that up

Since when wasn;t Castrol Edge fully synthetic? Yes, Nulon paid for it. And yes, Silvia's are awesome. But I've wanted a GTR since I was 17, got S14 when I was 22.

I go to all the Project D days that I can get to ( when im no overseas or interstate for work) Good people, good atmosphere, heaps of track time. Best days to go to. Didn;t ahve my timing gear with me that time. Will take it next time. Half worn out, drifted out street tyres arent the best for times but I caught up with Paul's S14 on semi slicks which runs 1.10s at Wakefield so its reasonably quick. Awesome track though. Most fun "grip" track ive driven cos its pretty wild and doesnt get boring

Not many poeple run fuel coolers in time attack/drift cars etc but Ive got one for my S14. Three Bosch fuel pumps circulating fuel through a surge tank gets very warm.

Hey guys Just thought Id share this awesome track with you. WE were driving it a Project D day. Now before you ask 1. I don't heel toe on the straight because it helps the car brake better and don't do it on other parts because my knees nearly touch the steering wheel so cant really do it thanks to the bucket seats and my height. 2. Ferds doesn't come all the way onto boost with the T88 in the GTR due to noise restrictions at Marulan and its very loud. Enjoy

I did a similar test on an STI once but never released it because the the STI was so in-consistant due to the " self learning" ECU it has. Even with identical oil temp, air temps and same oil, it couldnt even do a back to back run that was similar ( it had a front mount so heat soak wasnt an issue) Thats why I dont pay too much attention to these sort of tests. i look at oil pressure under various circumstances, engine wear and the oils condition after track days etc.

Cruise was awesome fun. Everyone leaving the first point got a bit silly. One thing to take off ahrd but the guys doing the "wankers yank" to make the car wheelspin because they dont have enough power is retarded. Wont be showing that in the DVD. I filmed the drive up with Dom ( blue Autostyle GTR) Jerry ( Mines GTR) and Ferds ( BBM T88 GTR) and i must say it will make for some awesome footage. The feature on the cruise will be in Motive DVD issue 003 which comes out in Sep. Motive 003 is going to be a GTR special too.

actually, enthusiasts aren't their target demographic, if it was they wouldnt get enough viewers. there taret demographic is " as many people as possible to buy tickets" Cars had to be approved by Universal Australia and US. Publicist had to see it etc etc etc you work i this industry you get used to it and just deal with it
