I dont mind what Pro does, but Open should have restrictions on aero. My idea is no flat floor between rear firewall and rear diff Difusser can come any higher than the height of the rear tyre ( stop those super duper rear difussers like the CRX, Berry and MCS cars) Front splitter can only protrude a certain amount past the headlights Splitter can't be wider than the tyres Canards cant be wider than tyres these rules would keep the cars looking like cars, which is the bet thing about Open class. Clubsprint should be about what is street legal, or easily modifiable for track use on a weekend. Rear wings whatever, but canards and front splitters should be banned. Over fenders aren't so bad as heaps of people have them on street cars, but factory metal except bonnet -

Hence why I predict a 39 is possible. may not happen, but cars are knocking on the door uf sub-40s, which is very impressive on a stree tryre! -

I think a low 28 or high 27 will win it. I've already hear a rumour that the Tilton car has gone faster than Cyber Evo's 2011 time. Could just be rumour but It wouldn't surprise me. I think some cars in open should really be pro, and we'll see a 33 in open, a few 34s and 35s and the rest spread out in the high 30s and low 40s. I 39 in Clubsprint is possible too. -

Doesn't matter Russman, we'll have fun cracking gates and driving hard! Even if i had the money some of the other cars do, I dont think I'd pour it all into the car. Mine owes me a bit but less than half of the big hitters. I did buy $23 fender flares off ebay though. Thats how i roll! -

There is some mental stuff being built. Big question is how many will be ready and developed in time I guess. I think I'll be in same boat again this year where I'm a year behind! My time last year was fast enough for RWD winner in 2010 and my time this year will probably good for 2011 but not fat enough for this year. Once you go well into the 30s, money and development time start to have an exponential impact! I'm out of both! -

Yeah. Boz was using clutch for some reason, but you can see in the video that I wasn't. Its an old style Quaife box. The main improvement comes from better ratios -

Yeah, I heard Troy blew his engine at Wakefield recently. It has a lot more gear in it that mine so it has the potential to be faster, just needs set up and seat time etc VE, Hollinger etc etc etc -

Suttons were shakeing down their S15 same day as I was shaking down JET200. Still in primer but man did it look awesome. It was in a closed garage so didn't get to see it up close. People hand timed it, but it's not my place to give anything away or share photos. Here is footage of my car on shakedown though. Pumped for WTAC now!! -
Hey guys Im upgrading rim size and tyre width ( an bodywork to fit) so I have a set of 18x9+15 AME wheels for sale. They have not been driven on the street and done 3 track days and never been off track. The tyres are Hankook Z221 235/40R18 and have over 80% tread left as they did less than 15 laps of Eastern Creek only. Still good for a few track days. they are a lighweight racing wheel made by Enkei. Good enough for Cyber Evo, Nik Kalis Evo and JET200, then good enough for anyone. Fit GT-R awesome. Fit Evo and will fit Silvia or GTS-t with massaging of front guards. CLears brakes on all no sweat. $2500 with tyres $2000 without tyres PM or email andrew@jetmultimedia.com.au Located in Sydney. Would prefer pick up but can post.

Jet200 Breaks S-Chassis Lap Record At Wakefield
JET200 replied to JET200's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
WE recorded the time using Racepak/Haltech GPD logging dash. It's super accurate and plenty of people had their hand held timers out and the video matched as well. I think thats official enough! Video cameras are accurate to 1/25th of a second. but thanks. We were very shocked at the time too! We thought it might go this quick once we were on maximum attack, not on shakedown! -
Hey everyone. We went to Wakefield for a shakedown to make sure the re-built gearbox and the other revisions worked OK but came away with the S-Chassis lap record after John Boston piloted the car to a 1:02.572 Many have been asking who would be the first into the 2s at Wakefield, and to be honest, I didn't think it would be us but we are over the moon! I;m sure the record won't last long though after hearing about the other Silvia's being built for WTAC! I also piloted the car to a new PB at Wakefield of 1:04.595 The scary part is how easy the car did it and how much is left in the car. We ran on a year old 265 tyres, no front splitter and the boost controller turned off. A few niggly problems, but clearly nothing major! For WTAC we are turning up the power from 330 to 390, fitting new 295s all round and installing a SX Developments front splitter as well as making a few tweaks to the alignment and brakes. We have a full write up of the day on our website here: http://motivedvd.com...d-on-shakedown/ In typical fashion the forward facing camera decided to have a corrupt file, so here is the other on-board looking at Boz. The shadow of the tower thing hanging over the straight is used as the reference.

Just a friendly reminder everyone, that Round 2 of the Just Car Insurance Australian Drifting Grand Prix is on this weekend at the Calder Park Thunderdome in Victoria. Once again it will be held on our custom built course that provides wall-scraping door-to-door action. We have a full Pro Class field with drivers from around the country along with the Privateer support class, meaning bucket loads of drifting action. There is a pit walk and drivers autograph session on both days at lunchtime and there is also a whole heap of trade stands to check out. Saturday is practice and qualifying while Sunday has the People's Champion battle, the Top-16 Driver's Parade and the Top-32 tandem battles. You can see the program here: http://trackbattle.c...ound-2-program/ And the track map here: http://trackbattle.c...oria/track-map/ We have new grandstands, which along with the regular viewing area, has been moved to the other side if the fence, making it much closer to the action with better views. Regular entry is $30 for Saturday and $35 for Sunday and includes parking inside the dome this year so you don't have to walk far. Regular entry is only available at the ticket booth. Grandstand access cost $10 per person per day, but can be pre purchased online. For ticket information and to buy visit our website here: http://trackbattle.c...ctoria/tickets/ You can also check out the registered driver's profiles here: http://trackbattle.c...-teams/drivers/

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NrY3mSqeb-A I've been working on a online TV show, with the intention of going on real TV with enough support, that follows DW Racing ( Danny Williamson in his 2JZ powered S15 ) in the 2012 Just Cr Insurance Australian Drifting Grand Prix. Shoes everything that happens both on and off track. This episode covers Fri and Sat and Episode 2 covers the battles so make sure you subscribe to the youtube channel. Enjoy
