-
Damn ladies in red aka red cones of doom; two were calling my name and they sucked me in like a tractor beam! Oh well it's all in the name of competitive fun & I had a blazt! Bring on the next DECA already P.S: Has it ever rained during a DECA event b4?

Howdy All, Cant believe I am still feeling fatigued from Saturday nights shenanigans - dang! The worst part is that $300 later I wasnt even feeling tipsy (damn chicken parma must have absorbed all the alcohol like some devil sea sponge trying to ruin my fun) yet on the flipside of my limited sleep I was handed the seedy package from hell only Maccas goodness and a chunky puke could rid of! oh yeah Would I do it all over again? - HELL YES in half a heart beat! - a quality TEK looks for in a object to fornicate hehe! jk br0 AL you big softie trying to claim "no more drinks" at some random point in the night but that was a fairly easy wall to overcome bahah! With the intensity of the sun @ DECA reflecting the heat intensity of a non-existent ozone layer my respects, grattitude and ultimate thank you's extend to ALL those involved in making the day possible and if I can further add that you guys are absolute CHAMPIONS for enduring such tormenting relentless heat the ENTIRE day! Well done All the best everyone & am now watching the clock for the next one! Cheers Ben

Racepace Built R34 Gtr Nur Rb28 V-cam

Simply amazing mate. Thoroughly enjoyed reading your build Matt and experiencing "what could be" when I have the coin to splurge on my 34R! Look forward to seeing the beast in the flesh. By the way, how do you find the Z-tune bonnet; does it create alot of dust and moisture build up inside the engine bay? Am tempted to purchase, but holding back as I'm unsure as to how much work needs to go into cleaning the engine bay due to the venting, and also legality reasons. Cheers Ben -
Sorry to hear G.Swift but hoping this means I move from reserve pol position to the on-the-grid 50?

Howdy Guyz, Hope everyone is well; I've been offline for a while working my azz off! Looking forward to my 2nd DECA event as the first one in May was a hoot and I've developed some type of crazy motorkhana withdrawal symptom after the first dose! Is there such thing as a tarmac challenge red cone chemical inbalance? FYI: DECA dollars already deposited and will be emailing my entry form tomorrow after I locate my CAMS passport thats floating around home somewhere! Cheers Ben

Heya guyZ, Had an absolute blazt popping the [R]'s cherry and mine at my 1st DECA event. Certainly like to commend the efforts of all that made it possible on the day; thanks and well done on a flawless day. Am now watching the clock for the next DECA event! HURRY UP Wasn't thinking about the points when I decided not to run the last battle - doh ma! Oh well, look forward to dialing her in again with the next Deca now that tyres are scrubbed and will remedy handbrake. Thanks to those who also went to the exent of taking photo's n videos as well! Cheers, Ben

Thanks for the clarity, appreciate it. I'll have to source some for next round as I'm $hit out of luck locating & having these installed tomorrow - doh! Cheers Ben

Have most GTR owners upgraded their handbrake shoes or are using hydraulic handbrake? With RE-01R tyres and standard handbrake inner shoes my BNR34 simply wont brake free in the rear no matter how viscious I am in trying to get the tail around. (Be it a sharp opposing turn first and then catching the change in inertia as the weight transitions whilst applying handbrake - she just wont budge) Looks like I might be gripping it around those tight turns unless there is a trick I'm missing!?? Looking forward to my first DECA day in the [R] so see you all there! Cheers, Ben

Will take two pairs if you have stock? Cheers.

Cheers Rych. To answer your dilemma, just do it! I read multiple times the reflector assembly is suited to D2R so knowing I couldn't sleep at night if I took the easier/shorter path I took the D2R path. Worse case u can easily source new caps if u need too. Good luck Ben

No problem! I've now tested and height adjusted and very happy with outcome. Was fearful 6000k may not provide enought 'bright' light but the ballast n globe do a superior job. Will post an on-road pic when I get a chance. Ben

Heya Guys, Thought I'd post a DIY walk-through for a D2R HID installation I just performed on my BNR34. In the process of purchasing a HID Kit for my 34 it was fairly frustrating as there was nothing conclusive to say what is the correct bulb to fit the factory Xenon assembly, nor could I find a DIY specific to a 34; so here it is! After taking the plunge I can now confidently say the D2R bulbs fits PERFECTLY in the bulb cradle. This kit is ALMOST plug n play with little to no technical experience but decided to provide the guide for those who aren't confident and want to give it a go. KIT: Bosch D2R HID KIT with globe adapters (6000k diamond white) INSTALL TIME: Approx 1 hour (30min per side) Page 1 Page 2 Page 3 Page 4 Page 5 Page 6 Page 7 Page 8 Cheers, Ben

R34 Xenon Hid's, A D2r Kit Or A H1 Kit?
TOPG34R replied to Haxorz's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Hey Guys, Just installed a D2R HID kit into my BNR34 on the w/kend. In the process of doing a DIY (Didnt realise how painful DIY's are LOL) but hoping it helps clear up a few questions that I myself had when I took the plunge. Ben -
RE Customs in Springvale: www.recustoms.com.au about 20min drive from you. Alternatively Horse Power Factory in dandenong: www.hp-f.com.au All the best with it. Ben Cheers, Ben

Hi Guys, Count me in! New to the forum and recent member! Attended the last DECA as a passenger and was very impressed with the day. Entry form faxed and payment made. Cheers, Ben

Sounds good Dave. Will wait your response re: Bi Xenon Please PM your payment details along with clarity on above. I will check the connector requirement tomorrow. Cheers.

Hi NYTSKY, Interested in purchasing the Bosch D2R kit with 6000k for BNR34. Can this be purchased as Bi-Xenon also? Also would like to confirm this kit includes everything for a DIY (No outsourcing any extra bits) Cheers, Ben

Cheers mate! Which GTR were you in? (Currently mind overload sorry with understanding real names vs forum names vs cars driven considering my first outing) As the GOR cruise was touch and go for me I didnt have time to pre-plan an overnight stay or even the extended stay at Apollo bay; so unfortunately after we hit Apollo bay and lunch I had to leave shortly after. Next time I'll be there for the entire trip with bells on! The transition from the STI to the GTR is certainly an interesting one. The STI certainly feels very punchy and is definetely a weapon with tighter circuits due to shortened wheelbase & weight reduction. However the GTR has a nice firm stance on the road & what feels like greater stability in high speed corners. With the 6 cyclinder vs 4 cyclinder there is no competition especially above 100kph with the STI running out of puff very quickly. Mind you this is all relative, as my STI had just under 200kw at all fours, vs the GTR having 270-290kw at the rears in current form. In the end, to each their own, and no doubt an STI/EVO would be a gr8 car if needing 4 doors! I certainly wouldnt hesitate owning a late model STI or EVO again. Once I tweak the GTR suspension to suit my driving style I'll be able to give a better comparison also as I had my STI handling like it was on rails. Yeah kool man, I'm certainly looking forward to the next outing also so c u around! Ben

Hi Guyz, Late response but just wanted to say I had a great first introduction cruise with the SAU Club. Thanks for the comment Mr. Oizo Also, was that you behind me NZMO through the GOR? If so, love the look of the bonnet in the rear view. (Was meaning to say Hi) As Al mentioned, literally picked the car up on Friday (transported down from Brisbane), had my custom registration done on Friday and also brand spanking new rubber Friday night. Was a krazy day for me trying to get things ready in time just so I had the opportunity to attend but it all worked out in the end. The day was certainly run well and converting to the darkside (STI to GTR) and getting to know her (First Nissan/GTR owned and driven) was a great experience and also the opportunity to scrub in the tyres (Little hairy for the first half of the run with tyres sliding). Look forward to the next event & more! Cheers, Ben
