  1. Those are some hot body kits on those 360's very hot! CHECK THIS OUT for the hottest photo's of a stock Super Silver GTR & a Stock Black GTR. http://www.flickr.com/photos/propertysnaps...517029412/show/ The Super silver one is mine taken by this professional photographer friend of the guy I bought it off. They colour's look great IMO. And yes those images have some post processing done to them to make them pop out, if only Nissan had hired this guy to do their promo photo's they would of sold so many more GTR's. He did well cause the GTR doesn't photograph very well, its a little ugly betty in photographs half the time. People always comment on "wow it really looks amazing in real life, photo's don't do it justice"
  2. yes the GT2 is made for the track, barebones lightweight. But not everyone tracks their GT2's I guess my question was did he buy this for tracking? Or for his love of Porche's?
  3. Ok I have a question. Why a GT2 over new Ferrari, especially over a Ferrari 458 next year? Just your taste or were Ferrari's more trouble than their worth?
  4. The daily driver part of the R35 certainly is appealing to alot of people i'm sure, and its why you see so many porche's driving around as they are great daily driver cars. Its certainly one of my favorite parts of the GTR just using it as a daily car. Nice work on the Maserati my neighbor has one, they are beautiful looking supercars. I would of thought they too would be a good daily driver car like a Porche, why are they not comfortable? the suspension too hard? No luxuries inside? The GTR is a little stiff suspension but nothing too hard.

    Dubai

They should of Chromed it and then put red & blue cop light bar on top. Would of looked far more Arab
  6. Wow that black GT2 looks SO SEXY from the back. Beautiful car mate nice work ;-)
  7. Very true on those Sterotypes. The Ferrari has too much "poser" factor for me personally, how could you use that as a daily driver? You have to get dressed up everywhere you go out cause your basicly posing in it everytime you drive it. I don't see a point in owning a Modena, its like "Yep I saved up and bought a 8 year old Ferrari and yes I don't have much money left now, can I borrow a $5 for lunch?. At least if you own a Ferrari 430 you are saying "yes this car cost the same as your house, so what?". I like the GTR, its cool but understated, has credibility cause people know its so freaking fast its scary. And its new modern and looks great. Its also not bright red or yellow screaming LOOK AT ME. Which I like.
  8. Writeoff thats very interesting, from what I read around it was all stopped after Nissan AU started importing. If your right the exchange rate would sure make a nice time to import a JDM.
  9. I own a JDM here are the facts on JDM's ### - You can't import JDM GTR's anymore, that was only available because of a loophole and Nissan Australia closed it when they started importing the car's to Australia - JDM's do not have auto wipers - Yes the JDM's do have warrenties in Japan if something really bad goes wrong you can ship it back. A guy in NZ did this when his transmission died. That would suck though. ### Advantages to JDM's - Cheaper to buy in OZ - DVD player included - CF card input included - Plug in a 16 gig memory card with your MP3's on it. (this one's a huge point for me, not for most though) - Auto headlights yes they are on the JDM - You can fit official Nissan rear view camera as standard wiring is preinstalled, Its not on the ADM. Although ADM can have it done as well now by Brisbane guys. - The JDM HAS GPS - yes it does, its really really great, and shows a lovely picture of Japan LOL - Yes JDM has Voice recognition, say "Tyre" and tyre pressure comes up everytime, thats the only feature that works unless you speak Jap that is. ### Disadvantages to JDM's - NISSAN WILL NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT TOUCHING YOUR JDM!!! - Dealers have been warned never to use a Consult 3 on a JDM and NEVER to help anyone or even look at a JDM EVER EVER EVER!!! Nissan Australia has a BIG STICK!!! - The GTR is a complicated beast that runs on a computer and when it doesn't work properly you need a Consult 3 to plug it into to find the errors. You need a consult 3 to readjust clutch settings as an ongoing maintinance as well at least thats what Nissan says. Only a couple of race teams have the few Consult 3's in Australia. Nissan highly restrict these devices so only Nissan dealers are meant to get them, although some get them anyways. - Pretty sure Nissan Australia won't sell you certain parts, basic ones like fuel oil pumps for services they will but nothing important, you can order from Japan though no problem. - No Warrenty - if you trust 3rd party warrenties good for you. - Not updated to 2009 TCM update so no launch control 2 (stuck with overly aggressive launch control 1) - Speed limited to 180 I think or 200? dunno but you just plug in cobb access port and it removes any limit and gives you 60HP more. (highly recommended) - A bunch of stuff is in Japanese, but NONE of the important stuff is in Japanese, all the important stuff is in English (IE "Boost, Accelleration G's, fuel Economy etc etc"). - The JDM might not have GTR Mats, mine didn't not sure why. - Can't pickup radio on the music system unless you get a band expander fitted. Bad things about ADM's that I know of. - No CF card - memory stick reader - No DVD player - Only way to move music to your car is through putting CD in, letting it rip to MP3's automaticly onto the 8-9 gig inbuilt harddrive. (will not read mp3's on a CD, needs real CD's or burnt CD's). - No auto lights - No GPS, not even a pretty picture of Japan ;-) - No voice recognistion - not even the special tyre pressure voice feature the JDM has above ;-) Let me just say this, if the music system on ADM being a bit of a pain doesn't matter to you then get a ADM with a nice peace of mind warrenty and full service for the life of the car from Nissan dealers. I love my JDM and wouldn't trade it for a ADM cause I love my flexible music transfer options, but not having a warrenty and not having someone who can read error codes if something goes wrong kinda sucks. Good luck man
  10. Personally I love the GTR as its very unique where in live Gold Coast, seriously there are so many Ferrari's here they are common, porches are twice as bad they are extremely common here. Too many rich old men retire here I guess. Anyways the standard Modena's look dated if you ask me, probably because i've seen so many of them over the last few years. But that one you posted a photo of looks sick because its got a nice bodykit & new big BLACK mags. Looks modern and cool i'd take that over a GTR. Even if you get a standard one you can bodykit it and new mags and your good to go. Worst part about the GTR is it quiet, super quiet like a mouse, it takes 'some' of the thrill out of the car, (imagine a rollar coaster with ear plugs in, not quite as much fun). You need to spend money on a exhaust to find a good pitch note to make it sound good. You don't have that worry with a Ferrari engine sitting behind you like in the Modena. I'd probably still take the GTR, just because I need a daily driver car and this is the perfect daily driver you can go anywhere it and its still a supercar to have fun in. I don't really fancy picking up Noodlebox in a Ferrari.
  11. lol....Oops your right, botched oh well
  12. Other interesting facts : # 1 - JDM's GTR's have built in DVD players with Dolby surround. (You can watch while driving (not recommended in a 3.5 --> 100km supercar LOL). # 2 - A set of replacement tyres for the GTR will cost you $4000 retail, $3000 if you goto Talebtyres.com.au. (highly recommend these guys, got Pirrari's for my 350Z at 1/2 the price quoted by local retailers here in GC. # 3 - I don't think the JDM's have auto wipers the USA ones don't I know that much and I couldn't find a setting on my JDM for auto wipers when it was raining today. Yes they do have auto headlights though. # 4 - Nissan are a bunch of tight asses for taking out the CF card from the Australian GTR's. They saved themself's $100 and ruined the music system of the car IMO. Making it a nightmare to move any music onto the car and leaving no option for the owner to put in a aftermarket audio system. Seriously for twice the retail price you'd expect to have at least the basic options that the USA car's have. I understand GPS is a bitch to do but CF card removal is just lame on Nissan's part. # 5 - Nissan Australia are bunch of tossers for not supporting JDM cars infact blacklisting them as much as they can. (ie threatening dealers if they even look at a JDM).
  13. And don't miss our special tv viewing of : "WHEN BODYKITS GO BAD!" Watch tonight as japanese bogans take great looking sports cars AND BUTCHER THEM!! This inhuman practice is happening all over the country, we will reveal the shocking psychological problems of the car owners doing this and why they MUST be stopped. Should we require license's to buy sport cars from people who can't visual the end result? Or simply for people with no class or style. Watch tonight at 9 as we explore these disturbing trends & find questions to these questions.
  14. My pet hate is when they compare car's like the Cayman S to the GTR, and give full props to the Cayman S cause it can drift around a corner. All these reviewer's HATE the GTR cause they spend all their time sideways drifting other people's supercars around tracks and they get in the GTR it feels too controlled and not enough fun to them. Forget the fact its half the price, faster on a track than the competition and the Cayman S shouldn't even be put in the same category to it. Its like comparing a Hyundai Getz to a WRX
  15. Not to mention the fact you've got a supercar with probably the most electronic gear in it out of almost any super car. And a high end smash on the back might just delodge a few things throughout the car. Can't be cheap to repair, I remember someone on here mentioning front bumpers were $2500 and front lips were $1500 along.
  16. 20k here damaged? are you saying you bought a damaged one for $20k for parts, this white one or another?
  17. At $92k-110k if your just after parts, why would't you just buy a GTR in Japan with the great exchange rate, cut it in half like the (Donut king team?) did earlier this year and send it over to Australia? Or is there alot of taxes you have to pay on parts as well? duties etc.
  18. You know whats amazing to me. Its kinda laughable and really F**KED at the same time. That totally F**KED UP WHITE GTR is going to sell for the same price or more than (assuming bid of AU$92500 was legit) #1 - A near new perfect condition GTR in New Zealand with 8000km on the clock. #2 - A brand new Nissan GTR in USA with 3 year factory warrenty and some change to spare #3 - A brand new Nissan GTR in freaking UK (where cars cost alot) & 3 year warrenty $92500 AU will buy you any of those cars in those countries. There is something wrong with Australia. (PERIOD)
  19. Dude call these guy's out, they post on here a bit and used to have ALOT of custom GTR stuff on their site. http://www.audioexpress.com.au/site/ They have done alot of custom stuff with GTR's reverse camera setup's, GPS navigation etc. They specialize it looks in alot of alarm systems I'm sure they would know how to fit alarms to GTR's or hook you up with someone who can. I'm not sure if I will get an alarm or not for the GTR, perhaps if I could get one that remote starts from like 200 metres away, that shit is fun I used to have that on my RX7 series 7 big loud pipe at the back. Used to remote start the car when people were walking past they would freak out like "Hey nobody's in the car wtf" LOL priceless. Good for warming up the car since the GTR needs a bit of a warmup. Love the idea of Iphone app for an alarm have to check that out. Good luck
  20. My JDM came with 2 keys and just checked it had the little silver tag with the code number on it too. The people who you got the car off would of recieved 2 keys, if they don't have it, someone must of lost it or thrown it away. Try that first, the 2nd key for me had the tag on it's keyring. Don't know anything about keys for these things though, if you need a consult three to plug it into (aftermarket in oz) and you can't find one let me know I know of a place in QLD that have one, that might be willing to help. Message me if you need that contact. I check the boards once a week though lately.
  21. Put a down payment on a new transmission for when it shits itself...
  22. Martin those parts look great, nice to see some good international business going your way. I was very impressed and so was my local garage at the build quality of the Willall transmission cooler. Its a beautiful kit you guys build some awesome high end components. I must say the gear changes in my GTR are alot smoother now with your oil over standard too, diff and tranny just feel smoother at normal changes.
  23. whatever color, put the darkest tints on it ever and it looks mean as hell.
  24. Nice cars, not knocking the Cayman S, they get ripper reviews and my wife LOVES THEM! Its funny your Garage is exactly my wife and I's dream garage. She so badly wants a Cayman S. I'll probably buy her one next year, and I so wanted the R35. Least we got 1. now to get to work to pay for the 2nd.
