Downloaded it thanks, the Electronic Service manual the Nissan GTR Mechanics get sent sweet. That will come in handy for us JDM users to give to workshops if we have major issues. I really hope someone in Australia gets a Consult III with the GTR software. Maybe some GTR specific garage should buy one with the help of some other JDM owners? give us some peace of mind and proper software updates from Japan would be good.

Btw the JDM R35's Radio doesn't work in mine, wrong bands etc, my "Carwings" don't deploy either, but I get a nice picture of the Japanese sea when i push it. Dont' think there is a button to get to Tyre Pressure in the JDM R35. But I just push the Talk button and say in a slightly Angry Japanese voice "TY-YA" and the lovely Japanese girl under the hood brings up my tyre pressure for me everytime LOL. (its in Jap measurements but you can convert that, didn't even know it had that feature till I spent 5 minutes yelling various Japanese sounding words at my Japanese voice control to see what features I could bring up that I hadn't seen before. The JDM has CF Card so I put in a 16 GIG SD card with all my iphone MP3 Music on it, works great. Find it hard to believe Nissan Australia took the super cheap option and removed this feature which would of saved them what? $200? Leaving the music box which is very limited. The USA models even have CF card & a +$400 Ipod intergration option if you want it. Piss poor of Nissan Australia on that one. Considering you can't put a new stereo system in they really should of left the CF card. Must say i'd love to have a ADM one for the new launch control option under warrenty. Not that you really need launch control in this car but would be nice to do it without the threat of breaking the tranny.

Not good on Nissan refusing to sell those Major serviced parts to none Nissan garages. Do you think garages would be able to source the major parts from Nissan Japan???? If something big in the car breaks will we be able to repair these major parts? Wouldn't want to have to ship the car back to Nissan Japan just to get it fixed cause its impossible to get the parts. Surely these major parts can be brought from Japan???

Wow thats nice, I might get them to do me a quote too. Thanks for the info.

oh my bad, guy I bought mine from called it super silver titanium, got my wires crossed there.

Agree on most points. However if you were spending twice the money, wouldn't you want a little ECU tune so you get 530 HP like the Cob accessport gives you. They can do it to the current car no problem. If the brakes on the Vspec cost $50k year I can see why the costs jump so high. Just if I was buying a Vspec i'd prefur at least a little extra horses not just carbon and race brakes & suspension. Still amazing value for money for the amount of car you get. And agree with the post above, the Vspec sounds like its really for the race track boys not everyday drivers that makes alot of sense.

I own a R35 Super silver Titanium. they look AMAZING, they spend so much more time polishing the paint for the silver thats why they charge $3000 extra for it apparently. I haven't seen the R35 in any other colors yet. I'm sure the other colors look sick as well. But I wouldn't change this color its a fantastic paint finish and the Silver looks awesome with the black wheels on the premium. You'll be happy don't you worry :-)

Well make sure to get a really really dark tint as you become a instant celebrity driving these cars LOL

Congrats on getting your R35 man, they are truely amazing to drive. So ADM only has the Harddrive cd ripper? No other way to get your music on it? Does it have a DVD drive or CD?
-
Umm yep thats EXACTLY what the Vspec GTR is in its current form. jack all weight reduction and huge leap in price for a few Carbon parts thrown on oh and some suspension & other junk you won't notice over stock. Have you seen the Vspec mag wheels? They are BUTT ugly. I like the idea of a 590 HP GTR that would be exciting, of course its only just a rumor we'll have to wait to see what they really produce.

Its sexy and super modern from the side, its got an imposing presence and has the meanest backend with the 4 big tail pipes. When he see's his car for the first time he will not be able to take the smile off his face..... I couldn't

Yeah if you get it serviced at a normal workshop the service costs shouldn't be too high if you get the fluids yourself like you posted. I'll certainly put that info you posted aside for when my R35 comes due for a service requiring the Tran fluids change etc. At the end of the day, we're paying $166,000 - $170,000 for a super car we can't be too worried about a $2000+ service at 30,000 km like in that blog. Compared to the cost of the car its really not that out of whack. And to maintain AU warranty on a super car certainly well worth it.
-
LOL America's bitching about servicing costs on a super car, they pay less for there Cars and servicing than ANYWHERE else in the entire world. I bet the Australian service costs will make the Above USA service costs look cheap. Knowing how we bend over hard when paying for our cars.

Yeah I went with the Business use at $3800 a year (everyday car). They have nice low excess if anything happens. Wife had a couple of claims under my name in the last 3 years so that probably pushed my rates a bit higher than normal.
-
I Also have JDM R35 with Shannons. Justcarinsurance.com.au would also insure it at a lower premium than Shannons but with like $10,000 excess WTF. While Shannons is reasonable and also low excess like $1500 I think. They are certainly the pick for insuring the R35.

Its my guess when people can see these GTR's in the flesh in the show rooms. The GTR dealers are going to sell out of there remaining 2009 cars VERY QUICKLY.

Hey guys thanks for the replys to where to service. I'll check out Gaven woods in Lab when it needs its next service. Cheers Sammy

Obvioulsy VERY inexperienced driver cause as soon as the Evo stopped giving him the driving line and braking times he went RIGHT OFF THE ROAD!!! That was painful to watch, he should of slowed down he almost lost it twice mid way before the crash.

Nice one, thanks for the manula link. Saved that for a rainy day, hopefully won't need it but you know never know eh.

Handbrake you made the right choice. I was considering buying a BMW M3. Even went in there to lay down the cash that day 4 weeks ago. Test drove the Convertible M3 2008. Thing was slow and BORING to drive, convertible is slower than the coupe but really for $177,000 for BMW M3 you want to be blown away and I sure as hell was not. I told the dealer it was ALOT slower than I expected & walked. I just bought a JDM R35 Silver Premium and you are gonna love this car man, the build quality of the interior is beautiful. the exterior is 10X more handsome in person than the pictures you've seen. (didn't even like the car from all the Nissan pictures they put out) but in person the car has a presense. Your gonna love it! Sammy

Hey Giant I purchased a R35 GTR JDM a couple of weeks ago and drove it up to QLD. Can't get servicing at Nissan Australia & not really that interested if they are profiting that hugely from brakes and servicing. Do you know of any good R33-34 QLD specialist garges? that might be good at maintaining the car. Also where did you get your brakes from i'd love to know as i'm sure i'll burn through mine in a year or so. Thats a sweet price $1700. Thanks man Sammy
