Yay! Nismo Wins Bathurst 12 Hours
180fan replied to Duncan's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
The last 15-20 minutes were so intense, the 12 Hour is always a great experience and this year was no different, even with the insane number of safety cars. -
Spotted a black M35 with black r34 GTR wheels parked in Sutherland earlier this afternoon

Statement by the FIA

I wonder if the teams will start sending additional info to the drivers steering wheels or something, given the amount of technology in those wheels its probably possible for them to do that. I guess it could still be considered a radio transmission though so who knows. The whole thing seems a bit ridiculous, especially with it being applied to the practice sessions as well.

Any cost for spectating / taking photos?
-
Yes, awesome shot. I haven't done anything with my camera in over a month, got a chance to play around a little this afternoon when this guy showed up outside though. I need to get to some more car events though! IMG_6002 by Brian McVey Photography, on Flickr

I remember seeing a few years back that theres a company in Japan that makes similar widebody rear fenders but I can't for the life of me remember what they are called. But yeah, awesome job doing it yourself. Edit: found it lol, company that I was thinking of is Final Motion http://www.final-motion.jp/?pid=21172454 -
I never bought it, but from what I have heard there is not many people playing anymore. I've heard plenty of stories of people waiting 15 minutes just to get into a match.

Yeah I was there on Sunday night as well, it was the first time I had been there. Was very cool to see. Heres another couple that I took that night. I was on the wrong side of the bridge to really capture the lighting, but I'm really happy with the one that I got looking at it from the Opera house. Was a good day, thanks to everyone involved in putting it on. Shame I had to head off halfway through, but I managed to get a fair few photos before I left. I'll hopefully have them up tomorrow, but here is one for now, -
Nice shots Kory! This is one I took tonight, the Opera house lit up for Vivid Sydney. Sydney Opera House - Vivid Sydney by Vornskyr, on Flickr

Bumping this thread up for anyone who hasnt been following the development, the dogfighting module (delayed for around 6 months and now called Arena Commander) is being uploaded to their distribution servers right now. So hopefully it will be available for download in the next few hours and playable tonight. The way its being rolled out is that anyone who has access to it will get the single player game modes, and then the multiplayer will be rolled out according by citizen number, which basically equates to being in order of when people registered for the game. They havent given a real indication of how long it will take for the multiplayer to be rolled out, but hopefully it will be in the next week or 2. https://robertsspace...er-Build-Update -
Saw a silver r32 at heathcote just then, sorry for not waving back if you're on here, I was too surprised that someone actually noticed the stagea :-P
-
It's been done before, I'm sure. Have a search on here, I know at least one person has looked into it before. From memory the R34 6speed needs a custom length tailshaft made up, and there might be a bit more custom work.
-
Nice shots guys Haven't done a whole lot with my camera this month, need to do some more!
-
Also for anyone wondering, its a photoshop
-
Just doesnt work for me. I don't really like the series 2 front end so that doesnt help, but I dont think it would work with series 1 front either.
-
Not sure if I have anything on that weekend but will try to make it down with the camera.

How Many Kms Has Your Stagea Done?
180fan replied to killeran's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
1996 RS4 here, with 169k indicated. If it has been wound back at some time in its life then it could be over 200k -
Those spiders are crazy, i've never heard of them before. Very cool seeing them in such detail given their size. Heres some shots I took during the Retro Speedfest last weekend.
-
I'm not 100% on this, but I'm pretty sure it would be the Hart, given that the Speedfest entry list has it marked as a THL1, and according to wikipedia it was the 1986 THL2 where they changed from Hart to Ford http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haas_Lola

I was at the Sydney Retro Speedfest at Eastern Creek last weekend, and among the classic cars they had there were some old F1 cars, very cool seeing them out on track. Team Haas Lola THL1 Benetton B186 Williams FW07 Flame Out Surtees TS9B
