  1. I haven't contacted Nissan Australia if that is what you mean, from everything I have read their prices on these parts are almost double what you would pay to get it straight from japan. Also, from my one experience with the local nissan dealership, they don't want anything to do with imports, or importing from Japan.

I haven't gone direct to Nissan Japan either, but I do know that other people have used japanparts for buying these exact parts before and I haven't seen anyone say they had problems

  2. Hey guys, got a quote from www.japanparts.com for the following parts from nissan:

    96911-0V800 Body-Console

    96920-0V800 Lid-Console Box

    68430-0V800 Holder Assy-Cup

    96935-0V800 Boot-Console

    96965-AA001 Holder Assy-Cup

Total price is $950.30, + $133 shipping. That is brand new from nissan. Those part numbers have been taken from one of the manual conversion threads on here, and from the reading I have done should be all thats needed for the console

So if anyone has been wondering how much the console parts currently cost, there it is.

Figured I would post this up because most of the conversion threads I found that had prices for this stuff were fairly old.

  3. yep, i've decided i want an S2 pearl white. that's what i'm after, so keep the info coming!

how hard are those roof rack delete kits to come by?

They come up for sale in japan every now and then, but I imagine postage would be a killer due to the length of them

From memory there was a group buy on here a while back for them from an Australian company as well, but I don't know if anybody who was in on that has recieved anything yet, because they were being custom made

  4. what do you guys think about just getting rid of the middle hotdog? because thats all thats there after the cat, just the hotdog then the cannon. what will that do for sound?

Yeah, it's probably worth giving it a go, rather than spending up on a complete system first. It won't cost much to get an exhaust shop to do it, so not really a big deal if it doesn't deliver the result you want.

My car is running 3" catback, with a single cannon at the end, and it's pretty loud.

  5. I don't get any funny comments.. they pretty much all sound like "nice import fkhead", "go back to japan", "get a holden" etc etc

I have had props from a few cougars about my Stagea though :P

Stagea comments are amusing, i've had a few people do the whole 'Oh, it's a skyline wagon, I know all about them', and they proceed to rattle off a bunch of facts, all of which are wrong.

There was also a group of Japanese tourists gathered around the car taking photo's of it once lol.

  6. Hey guys, need to get rid of these cause im not using them and they are taking up space.

  8. Call them back every day until you get a result, if they realise you wont give up on it they will often cave in.

My family has had to do that before to get the local council to cut down trees that were overhanging and damaging our property. Rang the council every day for a week, and at the end of it they sent someone out, and the trees were cut down.
