  1. Pretty sure L platers can (cause they are under supervision or something), just P platers who aren't allowed to.
  2. Was at the gym today, and noticed a bunch of old guy standing around my car. So went outside and turns out they were from a new mechanics place that had just opened up next to the gym. Got the normal "Looks a bit like a volvo" comment, as well as "looks more like a Mercedes" and "looks like a Chrysler". Anyway, had a chat with the guys about the car, engine specs and all that. The guys were good blokes, i had just got a screw stuck in my tire this morning, and the tire was deflating, so they put some air in it so that i could get to the tire shop without any trouble. Decided not to take the car there for any work though, after one of the mechanics said he saw the intercooler and that made him pretty sure it was a diesel engine
  3. That looks awesome man Did you have much difficulty getting the s14 rear cradle in?
  4. I'm assuming this is regarding the button image that i put up. The blue light in my car is for the immobiliser. The switch that supposedly controls the light/aerial thing is the button to the right of that. I can't say for sure that is what the button does though, because the parking light thing was taken out of my car long before I got it, and that button now does nothing. When you say the button is missing, is there just a hole there where it used to be, or is there a blanking plate or something like that in there?
  5. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/-t...t&p=4774868 If you have that button/switch in the same location as in my picture in that post, that should be what controls the light.
  6. That might be true for the majority of the people on this site, and other people who are into imports, but the general public isn't going to know Infiniti = Nissan. Especially since they will be selling cars that Nissan never sold over here. I think Infiniti could do pretty well over here, if their prices aren't bullshit high.
  7. Think I saw this in Engadine this morning, looks nice, sounded good too.
  8. Very jealous, should look great once it's all back together again.
  9. Imports of any kind get a bit rare once you head out into the country, I'm in Bathurst and I'm pretty sure it's the only Stag here lol. Although there are a couple of Legnums I have seen.
  10. No, just drive it gently (ie not high revs and full boost) for a few minutes before you get to your destination, or leave it running for a minute or 2 before you turn it off
  11. Yeah I'm sure changing the filler neck thing is a requirement for compliance, I guess it could be possible that it wasnt done or the wrong item was somehow used though? As others have said though, just experiment with holding the pump nozzle at different angles first, thats more likely to be the cause of the problem. Is this something that happens at every petrol station you go to?
  12. Sucks about the troubles you guys are having, first time I have heard about Nagoya doing stuff like this. Yeah, I doubt he has fixed the rust Stagman, could have just put touchup paint over it and is hoping you dont notice.
  13. What Rainbow speakers would you suggest that are a similar price to the alpine ones? I don't really know anything about the Rainbow brand.
  14. I take it you got the one Import Monster was selling, very nice buy if so
  15. So I'm looking at updating my system, after the amp that was powering my speakers has died. I'll be using the headunit that I already have, and the 12" Clarion sub I have as well. This is what it will look like Headunit: Pioneer FH-P800BT http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Pro...FH-P800BT?tab=B Front Speakers: Alpine SPR-17S http://www.alpine.com.au/products/product.asp?modelID=314 Rear Speakers: Alpine SPR-17C http://www.alpine.com.au/products/product.asp?modelID=317 Speaker Amplifier: Alpine PDX-4.100 http://www.alpine.com.au/products/product.asp?modelID=307 Sub Amplifier: Alpine MRP-M500 http://www.alpine.com.au/products/product.asp?modelID=374 Will be listening to all types of music, but more rock/metal than anything else. I'm thinking that it will all work together fairly well, but im no car audio expert so some other opinions would be great. Thanks!
  16. Pod filter needs to be fully enclosed, and even that sometimes isnt enough. BOV needs to be plumb back. Bear in mind that it also depends on the cop at the time, I worked with a guy at one point who got defected for his stock BOV
  17. My only real issue with them was some bs they told me about a warranty. My stagea was a traded in car, rather than being a fresh import, and there is no warranty on traded in vehicles. However, they assured me that they would make an exception for me, and all that. When it came to signing the contract, it was stated clearly that there was no warranty, I asked them about it and they denied ever saying I would have one. Not that it really matters, cause the warranty they offer isnt that good anyway from what I have heard. In terms of the cars themselves, I haven't had any problems with mine and my dad hasn't had any problems with his V either, and the majority of the cars I have seen there look pretty good.
  18. Hey man, sucks about the accident but like others have said, main thing is that you are ok. I'm actually staying with my parents for a few days, and am 20 minutes from Nagoya, I bought my stag from there, and my old man got his V35 from there as well. I'll stop by there tomorrow and see if I can check it out.
  19. spotted a white m35 and a green c34 at Heathcote, inside a period of 30 minutes
  20. From what I have read on a couple of different forums, it was closed off. Not legally, but the road was blocked so there would be no traffic.
  21. Some quick photos of mine, the kit was on the car when I bought it.
  22. With my unit it's basically just press a button on the headunit, connect to it with the phone and it's done. I guess that answers that question, lol
  23. If you didnt know, the microphone is likely connected to the headunit for bluetooth hands free, my headunit has it too. Comes in useful.
