k this maybe a dumb question but how do tell these engines apart?iv heard s1 hasnt got vct and series 2 does,but how can u tell what its out of,for example i purchased a "s2 rb25det"out of what i was told a "C34",but they ddnt say it was a c34 laurel or a wgc34 stagea,how can i tell which is which?ive noticed my TPS has 2plugs and my ACC valve has 2plugs aswsell...i have the loom ecu and afm for this "s2" and ive put it in my 89 A31 cefiro but stuck on wiring as my factory dash loom does not plug into the "C34" loom next to the ecu....can any1 help me out

hey i have a 1989 RB20DE A31 Cefiro,and ive just purchased a series2 rb25det out of a C34 Laurel...i have the loom ecu and afm with this engine,now ive got the 25det sitting in the car and loom is all plugged into the engine.....NOW my problem is my factory(rb20de) dash loom wont plug into the(25det)loom by the ecu.....can any1 help me out?
