  1. Hard to come by these original rims now days without paying an arm and leg
  2. Hi guys, I have up for sale a set of 18" Nismo lmgt4 rims. $3400 firm Fronts: 8.5 width +25 offset 245/40 tyres Rears: 9.5 width +30 offset 275/40 tyres Some minor gutter rash on 2 of the wheels and general scratches/nicks around the nut holes. I have an r32 gts-t and the fronts would have required 225/40 tyres to clear the upper control arms. The rears stick out about 2cm past the guards and would have needed rolling/ flaring to fit under properly. I liked the drift look but just too hard finding people in Bendigo to help set my skyline up (Commonwhore capital here). So I ended up finding a set of the 17" and putting them on instead. You can text me during the day or call after 6pm on 0409 503 290 or pm. Kye
  3. I did the course on Sunday at Calder park with my sister and I really enjoyed it. Half the group was doing theory while the other was out on the track. Was so nervous as I was in the first theory group so you could hear skids coming from outside the whole time! I was surprised in the variety of people there and everyday sort of cars. A few L and P platers and more older people than I thought. Only 2 other skylines. Out on the track was so much fun! Got to learn how to brake properly, how to avoid crashes and how to swerve. I got to learn the limits of my car and how it handles when heading for a collision. All the exercise where at 60km/h and you knew when the cones where coming up but it all still happened so fast. I think it was worth it and everyone can benefit. Def makes you more aware on the road but my road rage has increased seeing people drive wrong! Can't wait to do the advanced course!
  4. Just copy and fill in the table; Skyline model = r32 gts-t 4door Wheel diameter = 18" Wheel width = 8.5 front / 9.5 rear Wheel offset = +30 front / +35 rear Tyre size = 225/40 front / 245/40 rear Modifications to fit = Need low profile tyres to clear the control arms up front. Rears stick out about 2cm past guards so need stretch fit tyres
  5. I don't think it's really what your after but the apollo bay youth hostel is really nice. About $30 each a night with shared bunk bed rooms. Really modern and clean. Shared bathrooms and communal kitchen/living area. I went about 2 years ago and I from what I remember you could walk to the beach.
  6. Had a look at the link...so does that mean the offsets on your wheels are +30?
  7. The rears have 275/40s on in the photos but will be changing to 245/40s. Better fit under the guards and better handling I think?
  8. The rears only stick out about 2cm and should fit nicely under the guards with 245/40 tyres. (Wheels came with 275/40 and b-u-l-g-e) From what I've researched the 245/40's are a good size. I do actually want some performance and am not just putting them on to be fully sik. I might try a different shop and get them to put the new tyres on but I'll put the wheels on the car myself. Last tyre shop made me feel stupid and asked me if I had even tried them on the car. Meh, maybe I'm just being too sensitive. Thanks for the input
  9. Hi guys, Bought some 18" rims for my r32 a while ago, 8.5 front and 9.5 rear. The rears stick out a bit which I like the look of but the tyre shop has got me second guessing whether to put them on. I didn't realise that it's unroadworthy for wheels to stick out. So wondering what sort of attention if any, you guys get. Everything else is stock and I don't hoon or drive crazy, just to work and stuff. Am I just being vein by putting them on and risking it? Thanks Kye
  10. Im looking into this myself. Have you test fitted the wheel? Because my fronts are 8.5x18's with 245/40's on now and the upper control arm sits on the wheel so Im getting 225/40's so they clear it. 9.5 will be wider so you'll have to watch out for clearance on the upper control arm and the guards. Im putting 9.5x18's onto the rear and getting 245/40 tyres on. It will be a stretch fit so it clears the guards but will lessen the protection for the rims. The rims came with 275/40 and they kind of bulge over the rim but from what I can gather from what Ive read up 245/40 is an optimum size and 275 causes too much side wall flex. Dont know if this helps but just a bit of info Ive found so far
  11. Yeah the fronts are 8.5 with +25 offset and rears 9.5 with +30 offset. Thanks nisskid I think I'll try the 225/40's. These are the only wheels I like and I was going to be so bummed if I had to get something else. They came with 245/40 on the front so I was planning on putting them on the rears. Im going to get some prices and if all goes to plan I'll make sure I put up a post in the wheels and offset sticky
  12. Hi guys, I recently got hold of some 18" x 8.5 nismo lm gt4's offset +25 with 245/40 tyres. Put them on the car today, r32 gts-t, and the control arm sits on the wheel. So my question is if I put say 225/40 or 235/35 tyres on would that be enough to clear the control arm? Maybe harder suspension as well? Or did I just screw up and the offset and width are just not going to work? Thanks for your help Kye
  13. Hi, Im after the plastic surrounds that go around the gearstick, cd player and climate control if you've still got them. Cheers
  14. Thanks for that Michael Cheers
  15. Hi everyone. Was about to post a similar question but hope it's ok if I ask it here. Im looking at a set of 18" rims, 8.5 front, 9.5 rear, that come with tyres 245/40 front, 275/40 rear. I understand that to fit in my guards I have to look at getting smaller tyres, 225/40 front, 245/40 rear. The tyres I'm looking at don't come in 245/40, only up to 235/40. Would it be ok to get the 235/40 for the rear? I have an r32 gts-t 4door. I don't do any aggressive driving, mostly daily driving to work and highway kms as well. Thanks for any help. Kye
  16. Hi. Wondering if your selling interior stuff as well. I'm after the plastic mould surrounding the aircon/headunit/ashtray/gearstick.
  17. Some applications on the net like carsales and ammi don't recognise the 1989 skyline as an r32, only an r31. This is because the r32 started production in 1989 while they were still running the r31. So I guess they just decided to change the r32's starting year to 1990 so it wouldnt be confusing... As for being 20 years old..ask any skyline owner what kind of shape their car was in from import and I'm pretty sure everyone will say great. Japan has a turn over of their cars every 5 years to keep their economy booming, they raise the tax or something on old cars so its cheaper to buy a new car than keep the old one. Japan doesn't wnt them so thats why they get imported here. I've had my 1989 gts-t 4door for a month, I'm the second australian owner and I got it with 104,000km. It's very rare to find a skyline thats got alot of k's on it. Finding a late 90's model holden with that low k's is pretty hard. It's only when you're looking at a skyline thats been owned by an aussie that you need to watch out for - in the sense of driving conditions here compared to japan. Good luck car searching. r32's are the hottest looking skyline Just found this forum aswell... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...tor-t39145.html
  18. Well thats alot more help than just saying their shit. I like them because of the clean 5 spoke style, and yes I do realise there are a few brands around that do this rim, so I guess I'll keep looking at others. Thanks
  19. Hi. Do you have the plastic centre console cover that goes over the aircon and headunit? If so what sort of condition is it in? I'm after one that doesn't have screwdriver dints all around it...
  20. Hi everyone. I'm looking for a center console cover for my r32 gtst auto. I just bought my skyline but the previous owner got an aftermarket headunit and the console cover is all scratched and dinted around the sides where they've tried getting a screwdriver underneath to take it off. Melbourne area for pick up prefferable. Thanks
  21. Hi everyone. Ok so I'm looking at a set of Enkei Tarmacs 17 x 7 +45 5 x 114.3 that came off an evo 4 and am trying to figure out if they will fit my r32 gtst 4door. Sorry for asking because I know there are posts like this all the time but I'm new to cars in general I've looked at all the threads on offsets and stuff on this forum but for the life of me can't wrap my head around it! I'm pretty sure the stud pattern will fit, it's the 7" width and +45 offset that are confusing me. I would really appreciate any advice. Thanks
