  1. That's a bit disappointing.
  2. Yeah, just buy new; they're quite cheap.
  3. Spotted a white NM35 on my way out to Windsor last night, and another white NM35 with full aero kut on mulgoa rd in Penrith this afternoon. Both times I was in my daily slartmobile...
  4. Touring would fit; but rears are identical, and fronts are such a small upgrade, that unless they were free; it wouldn't really be worth the effort.
  5. You should be able to; the control only uses 2 wires. The control just uses a bunch of different resistance values that are then programmed into specific functions. When setting up, I'd imagine it will ask you that press a button for a specific function, then allot that resistance value for a particular command.
  6. Yep, I've got 2 Ti plates, and 12 SS screws in my arm; No issues so far...
  7. The tension of all springs increase as they are compressed. All a variable rate spring would do; is allow the wastegate to unseat earlier. I rather like the idea of a double acting actuator, and a 3 port boost control solenoid. This allows you to hold boost pressure hard against the wastegate, holding it closed right up until the point you want the wastegate to open; when it switches the pressure signal to the opening side of the actuator.
  8. Cheeky little feckers they are...
  9. Mine had a mouse nest in it when I did the cooling mod; wouldn't have been a nice spot to live...
  10. I realised that my brake cut mod button was still pushed in; so I pushed it yesterday. That was the worst 3 days of my life...
  11. I hid mine in the fuel tank.
  12. I'm using one of Johns Precision Turbochargers SS2 profile; recommended by Craig over 3 years ago. I cannot speak highly enough of John, and the quality of his workmanship. He invited me to his workshop, and was more than happy to explain the theory behind what he builds, and it performed exactly as he said it would. The guy does excellent work, and shared my excitement when the car pulled a good time at the drags. This was in stark contrast to the other turbo builders who just wanted me to stop asking questions and start throwing money at them.
  13. If you unplugged the AFM with the ignition on; it will throw a CEL. It doesn't flash, you have to put it in diagnostic mode to see what the code is. Do a search and look for CEL reset NM35; this will show you how to clear the code. The stock airbox is good for more than 350kw; all you are doing is making noise and going slower. I don't get why anyone would do that. Blocking the BOV isn't a great idea either, but that seems to be the direction of your "mods" so far. Welcome to the forum, enjoy your NM35.
  14. They will wear at exactly the same rate as they were going to wear at. Defraying the financial burden is understandable, but also more manageable when you regularly rotate tyres, as you have plenty of advance warning. The advantage in buying 4 at a time is you actually have some buying power, and that has saved me almost the cost of a single tyre in the past. You don't get that level of discount when buying 2 at a time. As for people who buy one tyre at a time; they just make me mad...
  15. Good to hear. All most unhappy customers want is to be acknowledged, and have their issues taken care of.
  16. I think mine was around $400 or so when I bought it several years ago (with good US exchange rate), so that's a damn good find. I'm assuming the touchscreen was pretty cheap too?
  17. Winning! How cheap was cheap?
  18. Do what you want Alan; at least Vic hasn't got you covering the car in farken Frangipani stickers...
  19. Have a great Texi everyone; looking like a beautiful day for skids!
  20. It's brilliant stuff; one of my detailer mates put me on to it. So good on dark coloured cars.
  21. Does it do anything? It looks like it's supposed to attach to the body somewhere, but with the HICAS rack activated; I don't expect that would be a good idea at all.
  22. Yeah, another name for what Jordy is describing is vapour blasting; it's a high pressure water blast with an abrasive media. Ideal for that "brand new alloy" look. Gives a closed surface, unlike traditional sand/grit blasting which leaves an open surface which absorbs oils and grease.
  23. I did mate, if they were the PTFE impregnated ones; they wouldn't be doing that though. Let me know if you want me to get you a set of links; I still get good pricing...
  24. Piss the links off & get a new set if they're creaking; they should be silent. If it's the "D" bushes, replace them with either Whiteline or Nolathane PTFE lined versions; these require no lubrication for their lifetime.
