  1. ^^^^This. So much this.
  2. There are some excellent clear protective that can be applied over your paint, and even your headlights. They are UV stable, and almost invisible unless you are up close. Heaps better looking than a crappy bit of polycarbonate tacked on the front of your ride. ;-)
  3. Absolutely, just join the SAU club in your state. Being a financial member gets you far more than just a couple of stickers!
  4. ^^^What Eric says. MX-5's do a fantastic job at this event; good car control and a level head is the way to win. A texi is a technical car challenge, using your memory, an intimate understanding of your car's strengths and weaknesses. Any idiot can chuck a mad skid (see any episode of ACA for further details), only a talented DRIVER can master the texi. No one is saying that you have to drive like Miss Daisy, but if we don't respect the rules of the event, all we'll have is stationary carpark events. How hard will people whinge if that happens?
  5. Have had several cans (possibly more) am amused, but not by teh cawk. Will keep drinking.
  6. Great tutorial Alex! As I don't have a clock spring fault; I just skipped to the final step. How many times should I repeat this step?
  7. Hangin's too good for em; I say we take his apex seals!
  8. Can I also lock in a spot for peterj? Contingent on cookies, obviously.
  9. I can remedy that mate.
  10. I can't believe how much you've achieved in such a short space of time mate! I know you didn't want to have to all of this before the first outing, but it's going to be such a solid base to start with. Well done Theo.
  11. An economy "tune" is a simple as a lower boost setting on a boost controller. But as has been observed; the weight of your right clog has the greatest effect on economy.
  12. Put me down for a spot too please Matt? Cheers, Dale.
  13. Definitely good karma in adopting rescue animals. That's where my kitty came from.
  14. Great result Terry, fantastic when you find people who take genuine pride in their work.
  15. Forgot to say; spotted a stock looking red NM35 with a Fujitsubo Legalis in Eastwoo at 5:30am on Thursday.
  16. It looks as lot like when my missus car was attacked by birds, just like Terry suggested. Sif' nibble weatherstrip; there's nothing else in nature that tastes better?
  17. I hear you Luke, man best friend.
  18. So will it actually kick down in auto at all? Are Adaptronic interested in properly integrating the OEM throttle, or have they not been approached about it?
  19. Has very low post count, asks about buying Spaniels; Has link to Spaniels for sale in sig. The one that lives next door to me is an annoying barky bastard. Of course that could just be due to his fat lazy owners not taking responsibility for their pet. I still wish it would stop though. Apologies for my rant; back to your gratuitous advertising thread.
  20. Josh is running a full "Wire in" Adaptronic ECU now; This would be near on impossible on an OEM ECU. I'd rather see Adaptronic support the OEM throttle, so it can be made to operate in a completely linear fashion (what you ask for at the pedal; you get at the TB). Then it will be a complete solution.
  21. Beard adds 37awkw's. True story.
  22. Nice work Jono; I'd guess this is the fastest time for an NM35 running stock turbo, and stock intake for sure.
  23. Shaft. Hehe.
  24. On face value, I'd be leaning toward the Dunlop; as it isn't an asymmetrical design. This gives you a bunch more options when it comes to rotating & flipping tyres to get the maximum amount of wear.
  25. I probably should've called you back, like I said I would.
