  1. If you use a bit of wd40 or light machine oil as lube, a carbide tipped blade on a timber cutting drop saw works perfectly.
  2. Gawd, at least you can lay down the seats in your Stagea; For when you two consummate this awkward bromance...
  3. I have never seen you at the gym, who even wears pants anymore? I don't think our setup is the same at all... 245/45/18 is spot on IMO; decent tread width, with a sidewall that has some compliance. Great for grip and comfort. 245 width on a 8.5" rim is perfect.
  4. Same for myself, and a few others too.
  5. I don't think I'm going to, got some eyelids to go on; too much black makes Dale something, something...
  6. My mud covered beast out at SAU NSW's Texikhana event over the weekend. You can't see that it's covered in clay & shit form my missus parents boggy driveway... A bit of Plastidipping on the grille too.
  7. Thanks! Any feedback from CAFE2U? Do we ask the question on their FB page? https://www.facebook.com/Cafe2UAustralia?fref=ts
  8. One for 2776 Tez? Great day, huge thanks to everyone who assisted, and everyone who entered. Thanks also to everyone who helped pack up the trailer & help me get hitched up. Great to meet you all, see you next time!
  9. There's also the Bluegum Cafe, which is only a couple of kays further on; Plenty of parking (nice & flat too), food and coffee.
  10. Great event today! Thanks to the Execs and Members who made this event happen, without you; these events simply aren't possible. And thanks to the awesome group of entrants who did everything that was asked of them, and especially to those who stayed afterwards to help clean the course and assist with packing the trailer. You guys make the effort worthwhile, and seeing everyone having such a good time was just awesome. Some excellent cars, and fantastic driving on display; and some pretty decent skids too! Great meeting you all, see you again soon!
  11. All it take is one team to do it, and beat the rest. Then they'll all do it. These guys ARE racing for sheep stations.
  12. Fark dude! Gotta say; that looks great. Good on you for going your own way.
  13. Looks great Cam; what are your underbonnet plans with this one?
  14. Look under "Scheduled Maintenance Guide" in the G35 Infiniti Manual; http://x.infinitihelp.com/service/2007_service_guide.pdf It covers the G35X; which due to it's AWD nature, is the closest relative to the NM35 and PNM35 awd chassis & running gear. Just substitute Km's for Miles.
  15. Looks like metal fatigue around the stud has allowed it to break a section clean out of the body; there's no rust there. I reckon the car has copped a hit in the wheel, and the shock has borne the brunt of the impact. You can see the stress cracks that have propagated around the stud. You can also see where the metal is stretched around the other stud. I'd be looking for evidence of subframe removal, or rear arm removal; those components would have been badly damaged if it has been hit (or slid into a gutter etc). You are going to need to get in from above; weld in a reinforcing plate with a pair of captive studs, I wouldn't just tack up the sheetmetal & put a washer in there. That is going to be a pain, and you are going to want to find someone who is experienced with welding & engineering (like a hot rod or custom car body workshop), and you will be paying for that. I doubt a normal panel shop will even touch that repair.
  16. Could well be a noisy tread pattern; cheaper brands often have these kinds of issues.
  17. It's a separate piece; I bet "someone" will have one...
  18. Scotty's right; are you referring to the top mount for the shock absorber?
  19. Good luck Brendan, hope this one isn't a false start for you.
  20. Lubricate the runners for the window with some silicone spray wiped on a cotton tip; it sounds like it's tripping the overtorque.
  21. How much longer do you have to wait for your full license? What was the fine for driving a non-approved vehicle? What are the repercussions if you are involved in an accident? These things could potentially cost you a LOT of money in the right situation.
  22. I know, why won't everyone just let me do exactly what I want; the rules are there for everyone else, not meeeeee. *Stamps feet*
  23. I doubt you'll get one, and there are plenty of wagons you could've bought that are not on the banned list; so I doubt that will fly as a reason. They will have a listing with the factory power for the engine, and will use that rather than a deflated dyno figure you are clearly using to try & get around the rule; everyone know's you're going to bump the power straight back up anyway; right? Sometimes it's better to wait until you don't have to break the law, and drive the car you are allowed to drive.
