  1. I have black wheel nuts, it takes too much time to read about all the boring cars without black wheel nuts. Don't even get me started on how much time I've spent (wasted) reading post from people with pine scented air fresheners. Everyone knows it's Sandalwood or nothing. God reading is hard; if only there was a way you could look at just a tiny amount of detail and work out if it was relevant...
  2. I'll update the thread as soon as I have any new information. Thanks for your support & patience guys; I'm hoping this will bear fruit in the next few months.
  3. I normally replace the front blades, then cut down one of the old fronts to use on the rear.
  4. I've never heard of Lenso wheels breaking? Maybe I don't get out enough.
  5. Drop the what?
  6. Iain is living it up on holidays ATM, so don't expect anything immediately.
  7. That sounds a lot like mine did when it threw all the exhaust impeller blades down the exhaust. I'd be happy to be wrong though.
  8. Getting the mechanicals in place will be the easiest part of an NM35 manual AWD conversion. Getting all the ECU's to play nice with one another, will be the trick with this one.
  9. I don't think you'll get a 10.5 on the front at any offset. The rear will likely fit, as there is quite a lot of room. The most extreme set up that I've seen is 9.5" x 19" +22 offset, running 245/40/19's. This needs rolling of the front guards as the outer edge of the tyre will come into contact with the guard lip. I don't know exactly what clearance to the upright is like, but I suspect it is tight. If you were prepared to cut away the all the steel guard underneath the flares on the AXIS and trim basically all of the lip on the flare; you miiiiiiight just fit a 10.5, but the offset would critical. I've noticed their website lists no specifics on offset; will they do custom offset? The lower you have the car; the more of camber will allow you to tuck the tyre under the guard. The amount of stretch you'll need to run will turn the car into a billycart, but I suspect you already know that. Post pics when you do it.
  10. You need to do the idle relearn. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/435633-m35-en
  11. Not too much heat when bedding in; do exactly as they recommend, and all should be well.
  12. Rip off the offending wheel; look for unusual scoring from something touching either rotor or caliper. Something might be sitting not quite right.
  13. Sonny, no drama at all mate; postage is a little more expensive, but I can get parts to you.
  14. I will be very surprised if the warranty company comes to the party with $5k; I had a window regulator replaced under warranty, and of the $900 total they covered $500. I suspect you are about to become one of the long list of people to discover that these warranties aren't even worth the paper they are written on. That said; I wish you every success. Scotty is definitely your man if/when you go forward, you would do well to INSIST any repairer you engage, speaks to Scotty about this job first. They will say they know what they're doing; most won't. Turbo selection is CRITICAL. If the warranty goes south once they discover the scale of the job; go straight to Scotty.
  15. I suspect Scotty will be able to set you straight on this one.
  16. Spotted a white NM35 with 19's or 20's turning on to Mulgoa rd in the Riff this arvo. Looked basically stock, anyone on here?
  17. Yeah, I thought the same thing myself; I guess Godzilladat could always offer to inform Department of Fair Trading of a possible breach of their duty of care? Also, Godzilladat, welcome to the forum, don't let this sour you on the Stagea. These cars are very robust, and a haircut like that isn't likely to have compromised the car at all. I do understand that it would definitely have effected the the used car price you would have paid. That's certainly the avenue I'd be going down. Best of luck with it, we'd love to see some pics, and maybe hear your plans (if any) for it. I used to have a 180B SSS a couple of years ago; seems like most of the Stagea owners have a history of cool Dattos!
  18. It sure does look like an odometer; I'll take a stab & say that it is tied in to the GPS system, and wasn't something they even thought about. I have personally seen, in a well respected Sydney compliance workshop 4 Stagea instrument binnacles sitting next to each other on a workbench. What could be the possible reason to need 4 instrument binnacles for one type of car? Do they fail regularly? No. I'll leave it for you to decide. Clocking odometers is RIFE in the industry, and even a few of the big players, who pour scorn on others for doing it; are doing it quietly in the background. There is a member on here Japaneseodocheck (also on FB: https://www.facebook.com/japodocheck?fref=ts) Maybe you should get in touch with them with your VIN. They will also be able to advise you on your options. It sucks when it happens, but it's not the end of the world. Hopefully they will redress the situation with you, and learn from it. Hey look!
  19. I send that kind of stuff Auspost; it will come in under 100cm, and under 20kg. Estimate will be around $30ish.
  20. I'm guessing that seemed funnier on your Huffy slider...
  21. Mate, that time is nothing to be ashamed of; there's plenty of guys on very fast bikes that can't get near those kind of times on the GP circuit. I think my best ride day time on that circuit is somewhere in the mid 1:48's, and my power to weight is significantly better. My max speed is around 260km/h on the straight & exit speed from turn 1 is 220km/h with a knee hard on the deck, so that gives a little perspective on relative speed v's grip. The little 180 is gettin' it done. Car looks & sounds smooth; looks like your driving is coming along quite well. If you're enjoying it, the car's going well, and you're getting faster; there's no better feeling.
  22. Welcome to the forum Dane, Haydyn's wagon is a beauty; I'm sure you'll get a lot of enjoyment out of it.
  23. So it's Amarok tiem?
